Roast Sandwich House in Melville is an absolute gem! I went…read morehere for the first time recently and was thoroughly impressed. The vibe inside is super cool, and they have an extensive menu with tons of great options. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap Panini, and it was incredible. Pressing it gives you that perfect crispy exterior while keeping everything hot and flavorful on the inside--the combo of spicy buffalo and creamy Caesar was spot on. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and definitely worth trying if you're in the area. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I looked at the menu on top of the order counter and ordered with the cashier. I had wanted to try the Roast Cubano, but she said it just gotten taken off the menu. Instead, I ordered the Roast Beef Melt ($16.20), Sweet Potato Tots ($6.99), and Coke ($2.75) to go. It took only a few minutes for my order to be ready. The Roast Beef Melt was a very good size and I was full just eating half of the sandwich. The ciabatta was super crunchy and crispy. The Roast Beef Melt had mozzarella, horseradish sauce, garlic butter, and crispy onions on everything ciabatta with a side of au jus. I took my first bites without dipping it into the au jus and the next few bites with the au jus. I don't think the au jus is needed, but a nice option. I don't really care for sweet potato, but I do love tots so I wanted to the Sweet Potato Tots. Though I didn't enjoy them as much as my husband who really likes sweet potato so he ate most of them. Roast Sandwich House can definitely be busy around noon, but it doesn't take too long for an order to be ready. There are also tables outside which can be enjoyable on a nice day.

So, I decided to head on over. It's a tiny spot. So, I waited a bit before going in since there was already 4 other people inside and that literally took up all the space inside. I ordered the "Stallone Cheesesteak" and the Papacino Italiano w/ no tomatoes. The Italiano was good, but could be better. Too much dressing, and the peppers made the hero super mushy. It tasted ok, nothing spectacular. Now the Stallone was sub par to say the least. I had high hopes for this one after reading all the great reviews about their sandwiches. The combo of hot Italian sausage and steak sounded pretty nice. However the execution was poor. The steak was over cooked and chewy & lacked flavor. The sausage was almost non existent in the sandwich & the pieces I had tasted bland. The tomato sauce made the sandwich a mess to eat & not in a good way. That hero was nothing close to garlicky. I didn't even finish it. It wasn't very appealing to eat. Too chewy and flavors were off. Maybe I'll give them another shot? But that's a huge maybe. Parking is available. Variety of drinks to choose from. If you pay with card they charge you more. Staff wasn't the most polite.
