Stopped in for the friends and family event at Wonder in Deer Park ahead of their grand opening tomorrow. Wonder is a food hall-style spot with a bunch of different restaurant options all coming out of one kitchen, one location. We tried Fred's cheesesteak, a Bellies chicken and rice bowl, fries, and the Hungry Gnome chocolate chip cookie. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and neatly packed. The cheesesteak was messy (in the best way) and really good. The kids' chicken and rice bowl was decent but could've used a little sauce or extra flavor. The fries were tasty and very garlicky. Overall, we had fun sampling the menu at Long Island's newest Wonder. There are tons of options, so it's definitely worth stopping by and trying a few things.

The food is delicious, i'd come back! I ordered Pad Thai and a can of Dr pepper. I also bought two different banana puddings that came from the famous Magnolia. Just a warning, they say right on the container to let it defrost for 2-5 hours before eating. They were definitely frozen so you can't sit and eat it at Wonder. We are currently waiting to eat it, but it looks good! My bf got a brisket sandwich, they don't have all the ingredients in yet apparently, they didn't get their pickle shipment in. He also got cornbread from two of the restaurants listed, same exact cornbread just different butters. So this is how it works, they have a large assortment of restaurants, which is perfect when you can't agree. You go to the touch screen and order what you want, and you can mix and match any restaurant. If you can't decide which restaurant or food style, they have a section on the touch screen with customer favorites and suggestions. They do have tables and plenty of parking, BUT, they have no restrooms and a tiny garbage. They give you to-go bags with every order, and they are jamming up the tiny garbage hole.

Poke Bowl build your own from Hanu Poke

Went to this new location of Wonder in Deer Park. Before their grand opening they had a friends & family event for a promo to get $15 off your order. Wonder is great when you can't all agree what to have for a meal. Want barbecue when your your friends want salad or Chinese or Thai or burgers? They have it all. Wonder has a set of "restaurants" you can order various items from. For some items you can also customize to add or remove items. You can order ahead on the app and it will be ready when you get there. You can also choose to order at the screens by the front counter. I decided to get the build your own poke from Hanu Poke. The ingredients were very fresh. The bowl itself was very filling that you can easily share it with another person if you wanted to. At this location you have bar height seating by the entrance and table seating to the right of the counter. Their bathroom is also very clean. The parking lot is a good size and we had no issues finding a spot. I would consider going back in the future.

Royal Greens build your own salad

Came here during the friends and family event before the grand opening. We were treated to $15 off our order. I decided to take advantage of the Royal greens promotion where the protein was free on all salads. I chose shrimp on top of a mix of spring greens and grains with a handful of toppings like artichoke hearts, Granny Smith apples, sweet potatoes, tomatoes crispy shallots and puffed rice covered in a sesame dressing. Everything was fresh. Shrimp were sizable. The portion was generous and could have easily been 2 meals. I liked having the puffed rice instead of croutons for a gentle crunch. I also liked the chocolate coffee pudding. It had a nice blend of flavors with a hearty thick texture. I got a Jarritos lime soda for a drink. They had a decent variety of canned and bottled drinks as well as a free water station. My order and my friends' orders came out in a timely fashion. It seemed that they were doing well on keeping up with the demand. I'll definitely order here again if I'm nearby.

I have been waiting for quiet a while I expect pre made food ready for pick up. I went in person to see all options but discovered it's an "all online ordering" (there's screens to place your order (but then you don't get points/ discounts / offer code!) so download the app for perks! I order online & got a poke bowl. & at first sight I thought it was small & not worth $19 but as I mixed things around there were tons of fresh tuna, shrimp and all other topics I chose like radish, scallions, rice, green veggies.... The sauce was a highlight it had so much flavor I would definitely go back It's perfect for families since menu is so broad I feel like the app is a bit overwhelming maybe because there's so much to choose from? & not too user friendly but I managed & plan on ordering again!

Wonder has been working over time to get my attention. I recently got a mailer for a 50% or max $20 coupon and since my family like different cuisines I gave it a try. The app is pretty user friendly and the ETA time on the app is pretty accurate. I walked in and dining area is very small and the kitchen takes up about 80% of this large space that used to be a Boston Market. So, on to the food. Kin House: charsiu spare ribs for $11.95 portion size compared to the price was good. Ribs had a lot of meat and were big, definitely can taste that unique pork fried rice for $12.95 portion size was big but thr flavor just wasn't there. Just tasted soy sauce and not a lot of balance. Also there were pockets of seasoning areas and some rice that were just white. Lots of veggies but hardly saw or tasted pork. Salt -n- pepper wings for $11.95 for 6 small pieces. These were soggy and hit the mark. Idk what was missing just didn't taste close to what we get at Chinese restaurants. Korean Cheesesteak for $14.95 - pleasantly surprised by this. Hero wasn't that big but it was soft, filled with meat and crunchy sour kimchi and delicious aeoli. I really liked this and exceeded my expectations. Alanza Small cheese pizza for $9.95 another winner. It's a small personal pie around 12" but you can taste the sticker oven cooked chewy dough and sweet light sauce. My son is a picky eater and he loved it. I do have to say the temperature of the food outside the fried rice was all cold and once I heated them it definitely tasted better especially the pizza since the cheese had hardened. I'd definitely rrxxommend for those who have people who want various things. Pick up food since it's prepared much quicker. Deliver gave me an ETA of 50 minutes and pick up was just 25 minutes. They have a spacious parking area but only 2 person running the counter so pre-order, don't order at the store and make sure you tell them you're picking up since some were actually ordering at the counter and had to wait.

Ask the Community - Wonder Deer Park

Can i dine in in the deer park location?

Yes. They have a few tables but not a big dining area. Its also all glass so it can get bright and hot. Most patrons do takeout.

Working in the area, and looking for a decent deli sandwich. Found this spot. It was highly rated,…read moreand people seem to be loving their cheesesteaks and sandwiches. So, I decided to head on over. It's a tiny spot. So, I waited a bit before going in since there was already 4 other people inside and that literally took up all the space inside. I ordered the "Stallone Cheesesteak" and the Papacino Italiano w/ no tomatoes. The Italiano was good, but could be better. Too much dressing, and the peppers made the hero super mushy. It tasted ok, nothing spectacular. Now the Stallone was sub par to say the least. I had high hopes for this one after reading all the great reviews about their sandwiches. The combo of hot Italian sausage and steak sounded pretty nice. However the execution was poor. The steak was over cooked and chewy & lacked flavor. The sausage was almost non existent in the sandwich & the pieces I had tasted bland. The tomato sauce made the sandwich a mess to eat & not in a good way. That hero was nothing close to garlicky. I didn't even finish it. It wasn't very appealing to eat. Too chewy and flavors were off. Maybe I'll give them another shot? But that's a huge maybe. Parking is available. Variety of drinks to choose from. If you pay with card they charge you more. Staff wasn't the most polite.

Long island is the land of great bagels and to be a true contender you need to stand out. Papacinos…read moreis probably the last local bagel joint I've yet to try so when a few errands conveniently put me in that area I gave it a go. I generally don't comment on atmosphere but papacinos overall is alittle generic. You walk in and there's nothing that makes you hungry. I want to see display cases full of bagels that scream "eat me!". Papa's maybe had 8 varieties in total hidden behind the counter and they just didn't scream appetizing. I asked for the darkest sesame they had with butter. A good bagel should have a slightly crunchy outside with a doughy inner. This bagel for the most part accomplished that but in a completely forgetable way. They were very light on the butter which I don't mind but I always lean on the side of "more is better" as you can always remove some but you can't conjure more. Overall papacinos is neither good or bad. It's a 90mph fastball down the middle no movement. This is a problem because in a world of SUPER STARS being just a STAR DOESNT CUT IT New York 2.5-3 Anywhere else in this country 4
