This was a highly anticipated visit! First off I really like the location and vibe of Marlow's…read more They have a bar area (I love eating at the bar) and 90's R&B playing at a respectful volume. Points!! I stopped at 2pm on a Wednesday and there were only a few customers and myself there. I order The Classic wit Wiz, fries and a Truth IPA. My food came out quickly in a to go bag. I was eating in but no biggie. The positives: the chopped steak, Wiz and onion combo is South St Philly worthy for real. The fries were a unique shape and were delicious. The music!! I heard Guy- I like, The System- Don't disturb this Groove, Christopher Williams-Don't wake Me... I was transported back to my days growing up in Pittsburgh. My only negative: That bun! Dry as Camel heels. To be fair, I ate it as soon as it came out and when I unwrapped it, a lot of the filling spilled out. If I had got it to go, the bun would've absorbed some of the cheese, steak and onion goodness and I'm sure it would've been juicier after 10 min. I'll take it to go next time. So all in all, I think I prefer Marlow's over the other Cheese steak giant in Columbus (as far as the authentic Philly cheesesteak). The other is great as a gourmet version of a classic. It all depends on what you are in the mood for. Great job Marlow's bringing Philly to CBus!!

My bad I guess. Only comment, they do not use a classic dark seeded bun. Wario's does. Is this a bar with cheesesteak or a cheesesteak with a bar? Plenty of tables and parking.

I felt comfortable enough to show her my phone to make sure I was at the right place I do remember seeing HEY HEY something on the signage. Pleasantly surprised that this Bar IS in fact serving up really tasty Philly steak hoagies and I got mine with a twist! It is called the Black eye or something, lol it is really good has plenty of my favorite mushrooms onions in this garlicky sauce that isn't too wet or too garlicky. It was the star of the show it's say . I can't finish it without saying I had to give my review right now because they are really making awesome cheesesteaks and the bar is fully stocked and they also have a variety of drinks that are ipa as well as other. I really like this bar and kitchen, it's a hidden gem. If you are in the area you won't new sorry, foot stopping by. Great music good crowd but not too crowded! Check it out. I can't remember my bar tender but her curls are really beautiful, it is almost perfect ringlets where you can tell it's genes not chemicals. I'm sure if you are used to this bar you'll know who I'm speaking of. She was a doll and very helpful. Mayor Hey Hey is also a treat! He told me a quick story about the history of his bar! informational and he owns the place hopefully when I come back he'll have a seat nearby I could have. It's

It's been awhile since hearing their name, so I was happy to get a chance to try out their Philly-style cheesesteaks when I was at HHBG for an OSU game. I ordered The New Guy, subbed chicken for the steak. The cheese whiz mixed with the grilled chicken chunks and green peppers and onions was primo; creamy and dreamy. I didn't even bother with their special sauce; it was innecessary, imo; the sweetness wasn't a good ting-to-yang thang. And the bread is so so sooo good: Made fresh in-house daily, soft and pliable, a great carrier mechanism. My only suggestion would be to make the sandwiches more compact. Mine basically all fell apart as soon as I attempted to unwrap some of the white sandwich paper. Lost a little bit of my hyped anticipation. All in all, I'd definitely get a cheesesteak from Philgeddaboutit again next time I'm at Hey Hey.

Little did I know, when I finally checked out their website, they have a TON of Philly cheesesteaks! I love a good Philly, so I knew I had to give it a try. Our service was pretty slow, but honestly, that's kind of on par with a bar, so I wasn't too surprised. Still, this could be worked on. We were on the patio and our server admitted he didn't know who was helping us. It turned out to be him - but after 15 minutes of waiting lol. The space is super cool and really unique. It has a fun atmosphere that makes it feel like more than just your typical neighborhood bar. The food was great! They have lots of different ways to build your own Philly, which I loved. There were also a bunch of different sauces to choose from, and I especially enjoyed getting to try those. The fries were thin, crispy, and came with a CRAP ton. They were really good and definitely not skimpy on the portion! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by Flatiron Tavern. Definitely not just a bar with bar food like I originally thought. I'll be back for another Philly!
