This place is AMAZING! I got the paneer wrap, the chicken samosa and the mango lassi and everything was so delicious and perfect! They have a few different sauces to choose from which are so good too! The mango lassi was so so good and it comes in the cutest bottle that you get to keep! I definitely will be back to try more of the menu! I loved this place!

As a soCal (Born & Raised) foodie who has tried everything and anything that is Halal and hyped, I can tell ya: Paratta is the REAL DEAL! As a desi who visits Pakistan frequently, I can honestly say Paratta is the best I have had in SoCal. The flavor is authentic, the quality is second to none and the aesthetic and design take it to another level. Finally got to try this place out and had: 1. Pyaas & Gobi Fritters (Pakoras): only thing missing was Rain but vah, best I have had in Amrica. 2.Mastani Roll: The smokey marinate of this chicken was excellent! 3. Pari Roll: The Malai Chicken was my fav, perfectly marinated and perfect spice. 4. Reshma Roll: Beef quality was amazing and the spices mix made this my wifes fav! (The Paratta with all rolls is so flaky and just right) 5. Cheesy Jalapeno Samosa: Ummm whoa, didnt think a Samosa could do this, but they did it, and it worked! 6. Gulab Lassi: Soooo good and the cool collectable glass jars you get to keep make great for overnight oatmeal prep ;) All in all, a must try spot, but order pick up, and pull over and eat it HOT! p.s for non local LA folks who are feeling tourist-y: Pick up your food hot from 672 S. Santa Fe, drive down not even a mile and park just below the 6th Street bridge. You can mazaa with food and view.

    Great packaging!

Paro Roll Chicken with Raita sauce (yogurt) and Meethi Chutney sauce (sweet & sour). Paro Roll Chicken 8/10 - good but you can find better elsewhere. I would come back but not anytime soon. Meethi Chutney Sauce - 10/10. I would buy a bottle of this Raita sauce - 9/10. Standard sauce did the job. The packaging is a 10/10. I kept the paper bag for future use. This place is worth trying but they don't have any type of seating. You'll have to wait for them to bring your food.

Khao Magar Pyaar Se (Eat, but with love). Piyo Magar Pyaar Se (Drink, but with love). Paratta definitely has one of the prettiest food trucks that I've seen. The truck itself is very visually appealing with bright, bold colors of fuchsia and teal. It's very attractive for sure. Menu wise as many have said is quite pricey. Their main menu consists of three rolls that come with desi slaw, meethi chutney, hard chutney and a side of raita. The rolls are wrapped in laccha paratta. I tried their Reshma roll which is 100%grass-fed wagyu beef. They smoked and marinated overnight the beef in yogurt, green papaya, red chili and desi spice and then they grill it on a seekh. This roll was the most expensive at $15. Their other rolls are the Para (boneless chicken) and the Chandni (paneer) for $13. The size of the roll is average and the price is a tad steep for the size. I would definitely not say it's huge. It's not big enough to split and really is for one meal. Tastewise it was good but I also had super high expectations. The meat was tender. It was flavorful with a bit of a spice to it. I just didn't quite get the wow factor I was expecting but maybe my expectations were just a bit too high. I also got a Mango Lassi. All of their lassi comes in a cute decorative glass jar imprinted with "Piyo Magar Pyaar Se" (Drink, but with love). I do have to say I loved the Mango Lassi. It was perfectly thick and had just the right amount of sweetness. It was very refreshing. I did not love the $8 price though. I know it's because of the packaging and glass but still pricey. In writing this review; I had mixed feelings and kept going back and forth between and 3 and 4. I would say I'd like tor rate it at a 3.5. I understand the high prices because it seems like they're trying to go for a classy, more upscale vibe. (Their packaging is on point and the napkins are like tablecloth. It's very nice). However a $23 lunch for a small roll and a mango lassi is very steep. The food was good but I felt pricwise it was "Eat, but with like" more "Eat, but with love" was my experience. Nonetheless I'm glad I was able to experience and try this truck.

Introduction: I decide to give Paratta a try after hearing about it online; its offering is a breath of fresh air in comparison to the usual South Asian/Indian fare that is commonly found in LA: curries, naan, roti, and basmati rice. I got the Reshma [Wagyu beef] roll and Paro [chicken] roll with a side of basanti [mango] lassi. Food: Reshma Roll: In terms of the Reshma roll, since the main ingredient is Wagyu beef, it needs to be far more tender. As of now the beef is on the rough and dry side. The spices and flavors are good, it's just unfortunate Paratta doesn't know how to properly work with the ingredient they've chosen which in this case, is the Wagyu beef. Had they chosen to work with conventional Angus beef, then the outcome for the beef's texture is understandable but since they've chosen to use Wagyu beef, I expected the texture of the beef to be much more tender. Paro Roll: Between the Reshma and Paro rolls, I like the Paro roll more: the chicken is moist and more tender than the Wagyu beef. One thing I like particularly about both of the rolls is the lachha paratha, the flatbread that's used to wrap all the ingredients. Why? Simple, the texture first of all is chewy, soft, supple, and of good substance as well as quality: if I were to close my eyes, this flatbread reminds me of a layered-bread dish that's commonly found in Northern Chinese cuisine. The flavor, texture, and smell is literally identical and as I bite into it, it reminds me of something I'm familiar with thereby offering a sense of comfort. Drink: Basanti [mango] Lassi: The Basanti lassi is one of the best mango lassi I've had in Los Angeles: the mouthfeel is smooth and thick, the overall texture is wholesome and there's notes of tang that's derived from the mangoes at the end of each gulp. Service: Adequate Price: Considering it's South Asian street food, for the price they're charging, the price is on the steep side.

COVID-19 status: Order for pickup via DoorDash. Once you get to the location, you can call and let them know you're outside. Unfortunately they were out of Reshma (ground beef) roll so I got the Chandni (vegetarian with paneer) instead. We also got the Paro (chicken roll) and Pyas and Gobi (onion and cabbage) fritters. The fritters were delicious, crispy and well seasoned. They go really well with the green chutney. The rolls were good too- I got the least spice level and that was perfect for me. The side green chutney is definitely needed with the rolls. However, there was something in Chandni, which made it taste a little sweet and I wasn't a fan of it! Lastly, I had to get the Falooda. It met my expectations- yummy and not super sweet. Highly recommend trying it if you have never tried and have a sugar tooth like me! I think the prices are definitely on the higher side -$14-$16 per roll. Overall, a great experience and would definitely like to try the Reshma roll and the jalebi I sundae in the future.

Curbside pickup: When you get there, call the number on this board instead of the one on yelp so someone can bring your food out.
    Ehsmah C.

Finally checking this place out during the shut down. If you do curbside pickup then call the number on the board they have out front of their door, someone will bring your food out. Their beef roll is perfectly seasoned, honestly you don't even need any condiments they give with it bc it's so good on its own! But I did dunk it into the raita a few times. Also the paratha it comes in tastes so good and fresh and not heavy or greasy at all! They have two samosa flavors: wagyu beef and cheese chicken tikka samosa. My favorite was definitely the chicken one! And I washed it all down with a cold tangy mango lassi in their cute glass bottles. So glad I tried this place out finally! Definitely will be back for more!!

I've been on the search for good desi (South Asian) food for awhile. I finally discovered this place via Instagram and their pictures are AMAZING! After all when you're desi, it is always about presentation! All of their packaging is beautiful and it makes you smile when you see the vibrant colors. This is a food truck but because of Covid, the pick-up location was a kitchen in the arts district. I was fasting for Ramadan so I literally ordered everything off their limited menu. I started off with their alloo fritters, cheesy jalapeño chicken tikka samosa and wagyu beef samosa. All of these were good but the cheesy chicken tikka was my favorite especially when paired with their delicious chutneys. I also ended up ordering the Paro (chicken malai) and Chandni plate (paneer tikka). I loved the chicken and so did the rest of my family, we literally fought over each piece. The paneer tikka was extremely spicy, even for me! I love Paneer but next time I order it, I'll ask for it to be less spicy. Make sure you get the parathas to eat with these because they're flaky and delicious and order a few! I wanted to try one of their rolls so I ordered the reshma roll. It was delicious, more like a bihari kabob roll. If you love beef, definitely try this. Don't forget to dip it in the chutney in between each bite. Then to finish it off, I got the mango lassi and it was so good that my one year old fought me for it. The glass jar it came in was so nice as well! I actually kept it and will definitely be reusing it. The only grievance I had against this place was that it was pricey. The roll was $15 and the plates range from $16-$19. The portion you get doesn't justify the price. They were offering 10% off if you order directly through them, not sure if this deal is still valid. I didn't realize they were until it was too late. Anyways, I will definitely be back though because there is so much more I want to try!

I'd been seeing Paratta being featured on DoorDash for a while, looks like a food truck operation that is based in the Arts District. I tried the Chandi roll with paneer, it was really good, you can taste the quality. Everything tasted extremely flavorful and fresh, and all of the ingredients really compliment each other. The paneer is nice and chewy, and it's made with curry and lots of spices and crunchy onions and bell peppers mixed in which gives it a nice texture. It's all snuggled in a freshly made wrap. Overall super delicious. I'd say a solid 4 stars but would be 5 if it was a bit less expensive. The wrap is $14-16 if you order it for delivery plus all the fees and such. It's not really that big, so if you're really hungry it may not be enough. But again, it's really good so I can understand probably why it isn't cheap!

I've never heard of Desi street food so I was so excited to see this truck roll through so I can try something new. Their aesthetic is magnificent. Branding is A+! Their truck and boxes and even NAPKINS are high quality. I suppose that's why we're paying so much for food :| I got the reshma roll and while it was really tasty, I cannot believe I spent $15 for it. Like...I did it because I wanted to try it but now having tried it, I wouldn't go back and pay for it all over again. They were offering 20% off if you paid with Apple Pay but I don't have Apple Pay so...yeah. I really wanted to try the falooda but I would have had to open a loan.

It is a food truck service that promises to deliver the famous south Asian rolls . They do have the fanciest box for the food & the presentation is beyond good. Speaking of the food in actual wasn't as impressive as their packaging . The chicken roll (paro ) has no flavor to it , quite bland in taste. The pieces used are chicken breast pieces where too big & chunky for the bite . If anything good about the food it's the mint chutney although a bit on the salty side , was very authentic & well made . That actually made the roll a bit edible.

Everything we tried here was fantastic! Ordered the reshma plate, one of each samosa, the pyaas & Gobi fritters, & a paratha for pick up, and would recommend all of it. It took every bit of control I had not to start eating on the way home, my car smelled heavenly. I really appreciate that they packaged the fritters in an open container so they didn't get soggy. Popped them in the toaster oven for a few minutes when I got home and they were perfect. The meat was flavorful and so tender, the paratha was soft and buttery, the hari chutney was the perfect amount of spice, and the raita was wonderful as well. Everything had wonderful flavor. I was nervous the jalapeño cheese samosa would be a little much, but I was pleasantly surprised, it was perfectly balanced. We had never had Desi food before, but we are most definitely big fans and can't wait to come back to try their rolls and drinks!

Even my 17-year-old, who usually only prefers homemade Indian food loved it. Here's what we ordered and my thoughts: Papri chaat - The papris was out of this world, with the perfect crunch and a rich, buttery flavor. The chutneys, potatoes, and chickpeas complemented it beautifully. The only small downside was that there could've been a little less yogurt. The sweetness level of the yogurt was just right, but it slightly overpowered the dish. Maybe a thicker drizzle of yogurt would balance it even better. Tandoori wings - Yum, yum, yum! They were perfectly seasoned, spiced and not dry at all. A couple of pieces were slightly overdone, but we didn't have time to think about it because they were so enjoyable overall. Everyone at the table loved them. And a special mention for the cilantro whipped cream, oh my what an unexpected concept! The flavor was a solid 10/10. The texture took a moment to get used to, but once I did, I couldn't stop eating it. Onion bhajjis - We ended up ordering these twice, which says it all! My son couldn't stop eating them. He's never even had pakoras before so these were an absolute hit!!! Chicken tikka masala - The best I've had in a long time. great balance of tangy and spicy flavors without being creamy. Generous portions of chicken and it was tender. I could've happily kept dipping my naan in the sauce all night long. Naan were alright! Slightly flat and overdone, but great with the sauce. Chai - we loved it so much we ended up having 3 cups each! Perfectly spiced and just the right amount of sweetness. Poutine - A bit underwhelming overall, but the masala potatoes were delicious. Honestly, I might have enjoyed it more without the gravy and chicken. Seekh kebabs - kebabs were tasty, but the sauce didn't quite work for me, it was salty, thick and didn't complement the already rich kebabs. I would've preferred them with sweet and green chutneys and maybe a pinch of chaat masala on top. Parle-G & malai kulfi - More than a perfect ending to a big meal. My son loved the Parle-G sandwiches--thank you for introducing him to a classic from my childhood! The malai and cardamom kulfi was delicious. Our waiter was super awesome!

We had their Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice and Naan. For starters, the food was amazing, and the service, too, was amazing. Both easily ranked at the top of what I've had. The pricing, however, is definitely steeper. Most Indian food spots serve complimentary naan or have rice included or at a small surcharge. Here, however, it's like $6... each. And this is on top of a price that is already above average. Outside of the nickel-and-dime pricing, the ambiance was nice and quiet. The water was also very tasty and served in a jar that was easy to refill, and our server took really good care of us.

I was stuck between the pepperoni playboy and the chutney pija; bartender recommended the pepperoni, and I can see why. It had a crispy base with a sweet kick from the onions and honey. Dipped in the yogurt sauce... so good. Dessert was the caramel toffee banana soft serve, and it did not disappoint. They immediately brought me menus. I ordered the Maderas Margarita and Tikka Shrimp Salad with an upgrade for the garlic naan off of their lunch special menu. They had really fun names for their cocktails. The Maderas Margarita was interesting. The taste of the jalapeno was bold, the way it should be for a spicy margarita. There was mashed mint and cilantro in it. The drink tasted more like a mojito than a margarita. Nonetheless, it was well presented with a jalapeno on the rim of the glass for decoration and the drink was very much enjoyable. The Tikka Shrimp Lunch Salad was full of flavor. There was grilled mushrooms, diced cucumbers, diced tomatoes, and mozzarella cubes in it. The grilled shrimp was deliciously grilled. The house dressing seem to be done your of Indian spices vinaigrette which was very interesting. I would say that the spice level on this was mild to medium. I enjoyed this dish. The garlic naan bread was served fresh. It was the perfect thickness where you can experience both the crispiness and the soft bread at the same time. The garlic flavor wasn't overpowering. It was nicely done. I would definitely return to try other items and perhaps their happy hour menu.

My friend got Indian food a few weeks ago so I felt inspired to get some too (or Pakistani food,…read morenot sure). Regardless, I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer. They also have water for free here too but I didn't see the dispenser so I just brought something from my car in. The ambiance is cozy here. Nice seating area. Worth visiting if you want really good LA Indian food and haven't been spoiled by extraordinary SF Indian food.

The seasoning and spices were on point. Great flavors, the right amount of heat, and something you can't really get elsewhere. My main issue was the quality of meat. Since this is supposed to be an affordable lunch spot, the meat was lower quality and really hindered the dishes. Too much fat, too much skin, too much gristle. I would love to see these spices on higher quality meat, that to me would be a 5/5.
