Over priced with small portions. BEWARE THE FOOD that you eating is prepared 1 week ago. I recommend that you go Elsewhere..

You better bring an appetite if you come to this place I can't believe I got to try two vegetarian dishes and one beef dish!! The na'an was super fresh warm and chewy!! The lychee tea was superb and smooth!! Get the rice pudding!! I loved it! Our server Nala was top notch and very attentive!!

This place is a moderately sized restaurant bordering on Inglewood Ave. The width of the interior is about the width of two large hallways/entryway side by side with the length of a semi trailer truck. They had two tvs, and the walls were mirrors and one way glass facing the street. The staff were nice enough, I felt as if some of them had a language barrier but that's no big issue. I ordered the lunch special and a mango lassi. The lunch special comprised of rice and bread, lentils, tandoori chicken, seekh Kabob, spiced vegetables, and chicken korma. The rice was pretty standard, but the bread was served hot and had a nice slight crisp to the soft interior. The bread also had sesame seeds, which amplified the flavor of the bread similar to a sesame seed bun or sesame ball. The lentils had excellent seasoning, a stew like texture and spread well on the bread. The tandoori chicken flavor reminded me of a hot dog with an aftertaste of louisana hot links. The seekh kabob is a nice coarse spiced beef with a spongy texture. The vegetables were cooked nicely with a kick of spiciness, but I don't personally care for veggies. The chicken korma was really tender, but the spices were on the lighter side of flavor. Lastly, the mango lassi was good and creamy, more dairy than mango taste with a thinner texture than expected. All in all, a very flavorful lunch. I was surprised at how well seasoned the food was and how it left a lot of impact on the palate. Definitely recommend trying the lunch special on weekdays for a representation of a few items on their menu!

We ordered the mix tandoori plate, tikka masala, biryani and onion kulcha to share with a group of four people and still had plenty leftover to take home. The food arrived piping hot and served with freshly made naan. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned/spiced and balanced. The only negative is the limited parking

Food was bad. We drive all the way to this location to try Pakistani food. We ordered siekh kabob and it was super bad. It looked like it was cooked 2 days ago-frozen- and re-heated. The lamb karahi was tough - no flavor. The fried chicken - was supposed to be a whole chicken like how it is in Lahore - the server said it's a whole chicken - it came out in pieces and cooked to death! It was so dry. It's not even for human consumption. The Paya had a burnt taste. Seems like the bottom of the pot burned. The brain masala was the only descent one. Naan was ok. Overall - will never go back again. Will try the other Pakistani places. I really thought I can Like this place. Bad food. Sketchy area.

My boyfriend's family is Pakistani and this is their favorite place to get authentic Pakistani food. I've come here a few times now and completely agree that the food here is delicious! During my last visit, my boyfriend and I got the mixed tandoori plate, which is a mix of beef and chicken and a few pieces of naan on the side. It comes in a sizzling plate so it's super hot and fresh! The meat here is so delicious and I love how flavorful it is. The naan here is also really good and is always so warm and soft. They give complimentary salad and chutney which I also really enjoy. I would say that prices are decent for the quality and quantity of food; my boyfriend and I shared the mixed tandoori plate and were stuffed after our meal and had a good amount of leftovers to take home. The service here is good and they checked up on us throughout our meal. It is a decently sized restaurant and there has never been a wait to get seated whenever I've come. There is a small parking lot, however, it gets full quickly so a lot of the times, you'll be better off trying to find street parking.

This is my favorite restaurant in the area and one of the restaurants that got me through Covid. They have delicious lunch and dinner combo plates that will fill you up. I usually ordered these plates to go. But walking in, you're promptly seated and the menu is framed under the glass in the table. The food comes very fast! For my recent visit, we ordered the butter naan, chicken malai, chicken biryani, and mixed tandoori. The butter naan was flaky and soft. A perfect match with the chicken malai. The chicken here is tender and the sauce is sweet and spiced. The rice for the chicken biryani is fluffy and is served with bone in chicken. What I like to do here is mix some of the chicken malai with the biryani. The mix tandoori is piled high with a mix of beef and chicken. This is cooked in a clay oven. It's delicious and for the price you do get a lot of meat. The servers here are friendly and accommodating, and dining area is large. The food is delicious, so if you're around, I would recommend!

Menu under glass on the table. First time here , 4 stars.

For drinks I had the cucumber mint lemonade. It's their newest drink. So delicious! It's cold, refreshing, and delivers a burst of flavor in your mouth. A must try! For food I had the chicken tikka masala (mild), half rice, and garlic naan. They also give you a small side salad. The garlic naan was the best I've ever had. So moist and not burnt like a lot of other places. You can easily pull it apart with your fingers as it screams, "eat me! eat me!", with delight. The chicken tikka masala's flavor was amazing! I like to try things mild first to see how they taste. Some places serve bland food and mask it with spiciness. Not here. The flavor is all there. Next time I think I'm going to adventure on the wild side and try the medium and then possibly the spicy. The included salad was simple yet so satisfying. The dressing is definitely unique and packs a punch with the spice level but... I like it. *wink* *wink* hahhaa. The rice was perfection. I hate it when it's not cooked enough and too mushy or overcooked and hard. Originally I was going to eat half tonight and then the other half tomorrow but... I know myself. I would just go to bed, wake up in the middle of the night thinking about it, then not be able to go back to sleep until I finished the rest because it would keep calling my name from the kitchen. Hahahaha. I didnt get to see the inside because I got it to go but I'll let you guys know in an update. The staff there is great and they seem like a very nice family. As I've always said, I'm a huge supporter of family businesses. I'm soooo happy I gave this place a shot. I am not only coming back, I'm definitely going to have them cater some of my parties. Enjoy!

It seems to be owned and run by a couple, who are nice and very hardworking. We tried the shrimp pakoras (little fried shrimps). Came six shrimps to an order. We always enjoy pakoras (and samosa) but I've never had the shrimp pakoras before and it was definitely worth trying. Comes with two sauces, one spicy and one in the sweet side. Yummy. We ordered butter chicken, lamb vindaloo and eggplant bartha, along with garlic naan and a side of rice. Every dish was delicious--beautifully cooked and seasoned. I ordered the lamb and eggplant medium spiced while E had her butter chicken mild. All were really flavorful and perfectly spiced. Really, you should try this place. Among the best Indian (Himalayan) food I've had in Los Angeles. A gem discovery for sure. About $75 for the three entrees, rice, naan and pakoras. Totally worth it! We will be regulars here!

Compliments to the chef and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

For our first visit, my daughter suggested the Tandoori Tikka Pizza (Tandoori Chicken). We also ordered the Halal Chicken Wings, Garlic Naan, and a small salad. Right away, the smell when you walk in is incredible, and the staff greets you immediately, which made a great first impression. Now for the food -- the pizza was delicious with the perfect amount of toppings. The sweet and tangy BBQ sauce really brought everything together. I personally would've liked a little more cheese, but the crust was cooked perfectly with a nice chewy texture. The wings were another standout that both my wife and I really enjoyed. Slightly crispy on the outside while still delicate and moist inside, with a mild heat from the spices that wasn't overpowering. The naan was decent with a good garlic flavor, although it was a bit thin for my preference. The salad was fresh and delicious -- we always appreciate having plenty of vegetables with our meals. Overall, definitely recommend checking them out. Next time we're planning to try the Butter Chicken Pizza.

I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon, where a few other patrons were already dining. The seating has around 6 or so tables inside that can fit around 4 each, and they also have high chairs for children! I had just finished buckling my child into the high chair when my order was delivered to my table! They are super fast here! The super friendly waiter delivered my meal, and I dug in. The gyro was stuffed with meat! This is a huge deal, since a lot of places skimp and don't give enough. So extra points to Al Hamra for a job well done. The flavor of the meat was juicy and well seasoned, super delish! The hummus and pita was good, although I usually add a bit of spices to my hummus so this one was a little plainer than I'm used to. Either way, it was a nice addition to the meal. The grand finale were the desserts! I usually go for baklava, but decided to try the knafeh, a layered cheese dessert with syrup and pistachios. Honestly, the highlight for me was the warm pita served with garlic mayo, so much better than the cold or room-temperature pitas you often get at otherMediterranean spots. We also shared dessert, the kulfi cheesecake, and left completely stuffed. Al Hamra is a cozy family-run restaurant with just a few tables, but the food makes it well worth it.
