We had Anna out for our first session yesterday. She was AMAZING. Our dogs learned so much in…read morejust one session - but also, so did us humans. We've always had door greeting chaos. She showed us the best ways to work on calming things down when visitors arrive, and also provided ways our children can help be involved training - and making sure our dogs are responding to small children in appropriate ways. She had so much knowledge to share, and seemed to pick up on their personalities very quickly. I am so grateful we were able to get on her calendar so quick after her year of traveling. We will definitely be referring her to anyone we know looking for a dog trainer. Hank and Waffles look forward to their next session.

Anna gave us so many tools that our girl ACTUALLY responded to. She brought out the sweet dog that we see all the time, but others don't because of how excited and anxious she gets over everything. We learned a ton about reading body language and how to help build our dogs confidence so she can enjoy more of this world. Anna was super funny and was constantly teaching us things about our dogs and how to read them and reminding us that we are doing good! Not once did we feel judged or insecure about anything. we look forward to our next training session!

Called these guys about getting a sitter for our two dogs while we were away for a week…read more Unfortunately, they were booked up. BUT! Stephanie was super helpful and gave us names of other recommended sitters, as well as providing information on their boarding services. She genuinely seemed like she was more interested in making sure our dogs were taken care of than getting us to spend our money with them specifically. Next time we have more advance warning for our trip, we'll be going with Happy Paws.

We can't help but smile and chuckle while viewing online photos of our pup running at top speed with her dog buddies or taking a break on the deck. Although we miss being apart from our wonderful companion, we are comforted knowing that our dog is supervised while happily frolicking around with dog friends and provided with professional, skilled, and nurturing care. Eden promptly responded to my initial email and patiently answered all of my questions. It was hard having him so far away (I am based in Palo Alto), but I would drive twice as far to have Eden take care of my dog. Each day Eden would post a photo on Facebook, so I could watch him grow and she was always available to talk on the phone if I wanted an update. Eden transformed my 3 month old puppy into a well-trained, well-socialized, very happy dog. My puppy knows how to come, sit, stay, leave it, drop it, shake, and walk on a leash. He now comes with me to work and is the best-trained dog in my office. Now that my puppy has graduated from board and train, I look forward to using Sierra Dogs as a boarding place. Follow My Lead has far exceeded my expectations when I signed my puppy up for training. We started…read moreher at 9 weeks old, and she's now 5.5 months and has completed 6 one-on-one sessions, 3 group sessions, and many more puppy play times. I've watched her transform from a bit of a wild puppy into an (I might be biased here) absolutely perfect dog. We learned all basic commands including sit, down, come, loose leash walking etc., and have since gone onto more complex commands such as emergency recalls, staying with distractions, etc. Outside of teaching our puppy, I've also been able to shed many bad habits that I had in terms of training. The classes definitely have structure to them, but the trainers also allow enough flexibility where they're sure to address any issues that you're having, or will take time to focus on a specific command that you're interested in. I'll definitely continue our training here and wouldn't even consider going somewhere else. Liz is incredibly knowledgeable and great at what she does, our puppy loves going to class and makes a huge fuss when she greets her. I've met Jennifer on a few occasions as well, and it's clear that she too is incredibly experienced.

Walking her is a dream. Our old Eskie is dog aggressive and Rocket blocks for him when we encounter offleash dogs on our walks. We had never been trained to use an e-collar. It is a game changer. And, better yet, Desiree is commited to maintaining her relationship with the dogs she trains. A great place in El Dorado Hills town center that offers a wide selection of premium cat and dog…read morefoods, raw diets, pet treats, grooming and a smaller selection of small animal foods for rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs etc. They have a wide selection of raw freeze dried foods and refrigerated foods. Large, clean well lit interior with well stocked shelves and a grooming department in the stores rear. We came in for some specific cat treats and Timothy hay for our rabbit. We don't shop here frequently but we may start coming by more regularly. If you buy pet "junk food" typically you may not feel inclined to buy here as those lower end cheap products aren't sold here (think products like Alpo, Friskies, and pet foods sold at grocery stores). The premium foods are expensive, there's no way around that fact. But for people like me who highly value their pets, cost is only one of many considerations along with ingredient quality, superior nutrition and pet longevity and health. We have always used premium products so we understand the cost.
