We had a great experience at Paramount on Upper James. I ordered the mixed platter, which came with a generous serving of rice, tender grilled beef and chicken skewers, roasted potatoes, fresh pita bread, and sides of hummus and garlic sauce. Everything was well-seasoned, and the meat was juicy and flavorful. I also had the strawberry mango juice, which was refreshing and visually beautiful with its layered colors. The atmosphere was bright, spacious, and clean, with a warm Middle Eastern decor and even a play area for kids, which made it a perfect choice for a family outing. My son enjoyed the fries and had a great time playing while we ate. read more

Had our Valentines Day lunch here. Had the beef tenderloin...it was delicious. Rakan took great care of us. Excellent service

I give this place a 4 because I would like to enjoy wine with my meal otherwise the food here is always fresh, delicious and satisfying. the portions are really nice so always leftovers to enjoy for next day. Love the authentic food and variety of options to choose from. Soups are delicious and love the walnut dip they have its one of my favourites. this place is worth visiting even if you have to order to pick up you wont be disappointed :) Due to Covid restrictions half the place is closed with only small option to sit a few customers so most orders are now pick ups, it was busy when i visit them last week so i placed my order to go ( no photos to show) other photos are from other times I was there read more

Paramount Fine Foods - a table with a bowl of soup and a large flatbread - Middle Eastern Near Me - Hamilton, Ontario

Ok food. First time went to the London location and food was amazing but I feel like it's a let down 200km away. Plate filled with rice and little meat. Rice is tasteless unless you mix humus or other flavours. Service is hit and miss depending on the time of day. I'd still go back and eat there cause its still better then other middle eastern restaurants around the area. Nothing compared to Montreal food though but love the music and nostalgia of feeling at home :) read more

Paramount Fine Foods - What you see is what you get - Middle Eastern Near Me - Hamilton, Ontario

I ordered 3 sandwiches and mix grill for a date night Wow never again big X You should be ashamed to serve such Arabic food. What happen to the quality !!!! read more

We thoroughly enjoy their food. Staff is friendly & efficient. We like coming here. They even have a prayer room.

Very good. Nice staff . Would be great if they offered small dinners. I find it to much . No lunch menu. Also expensive. Always enjoy Paramount. read more

We have been going to Paramount since they first opened their restaurant at Dixie Road. We have tried every restaurant they've opened and even tried it in other cities. I'm disappointed to say gradually the service has been getting worse and the portions have been getting smaller. Our last visit was two days ago and it was disappointing. The service was extremely slow even though there was only five diners in the restaurant. We had asked for water after we ordered our 5 dishes and we didn't get it even after we left. The dishes we usually asked for were smaller than usual, though still delicious. Other friends have told me that they stopped going to Paramount because the quality was declining. Unfortunately I noticed that this time in particular. I hope they solve this problem because it may stop us from coming back ever again. There are now many alternatives for this type of food in the city. read more

I have never been in any other Paramount restaurant in GTA, this first time was so good that I will try here again and also other locations. They have fresh food with great service. The place is also clean. it's very hard to find all these in a restaurant in Hamilton! read more

Paramount Fine Foods - Salad with chicken ... delicious! - Middle Eastern Near Me - Hamilton, Ontario

We have been to this restaurant several times. We like the fresh salads and hummus a lot. Unfortunately their portions for hummus are unusually small. Odd, because their other dishes are more than satisfactory size wise. The Greek salads are fresh, no doubt. Unfortunately every time we have visited the Greek salads have been very light on the feta cheese. It is a good restaurant if you want middle eastern food fast and fresh. Portions leave something to be desired, and can be very hit and miss. read more

I had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the falafel wrap sandwich with the side salad. The salad was very large and delicious with pita crisp croutons. The falafel sandwich tasted very good and it was so filling. Service was polite. read more

Love the food, watching the pita being baked is fun. It comes hot n puffy n steaming. Good portions. Love the decor. Friendly staff. Our server even gave us free taste tests of a few deserts. I love that they have stuff ready to take out like hummus and tabouli. I can never eat my whole plate and have left overs. I was even given more fresh pita to go with my doggie bag. Impressive service, food and I would recommend this place to all. I have only been to the London location on many occasions. Hopefully Hamilton location stands up to the same standards. read more

I was traveling to Hamilton from Boston. I never been to Paramount chain in the past. We decided to try it. The owner and the serve were very friendly. The place was very clean. However, the shawarma plate that we ordered did not taste good nor it was fresh. It was very oily. I had a very hard digestion problem the whole day. read more

Honestly I have nothing to complain about: good food, good service. I love their toum, their shish, and I had a salad which had a marvelous dressing on it. A friend of mine ordered pizza and fries and they were okay/mediocre, but it seems silly going to a Lebanese restaurant for food like that. Everyone who worked there was really friendly. There was one individual who seemed to be new but we spoke with a more experienced server and sorted everything out. read more

Terrible management at the Upper James location, very unprofessional with their employees, do not apply to work here...

Food was excellent, and pretty much everything on the menu I would've tried. We had pitas and hummus to start (both were fantastic) and I tried a piece of a falafal ball (also very good, but a bit spicy). I had the chicken shawarma wrap which was very good, but next time I would ask for no pickles (too strong). We finished off with the best baklava I have ever had! Prices were also reasonable, staff were friendly, and atmosphere was clean and cozy. Would recommend! read more

About 4-5 years ago, Paramount was the place to go hang out with friends at least 3 times a week, whether for a nice meal or just coffee and baklava. Aside from their consistent great food and friendly greetings, the staff got to know us and appreciated our patronage and would give us complimentary sweets. We referred and brought in many patrons to them over a number of years. I moved to California 3 years ago and every time I visit Hamilton, I would always make a point to go in and have a meal with friends, but escalating disappointment and even sadness overwhelmed me in each visit. The place lost its soul! I've heard similar comments from my friends who used to frequent this place as well, but I wanted to find out for myself so I went late evening last week. Although there were more staff than patrons, we were not seen and did not get tended to right away. Chairs were in disarray, tables and floor were absolutely dirty. My fattoush salad was small and the 4 little pieces of burnt shitstawook was exactly that! The place definitely went South! Our server disappeared after placing our food on the table and no one ever came to check back on us. This experience has definitely confirmed that my rating for this place is zero star and I will never go back to Paramount again. read more

Pretty pricey on many of their orders, not sure why the Hamilton location is not up to date with the Mississauga food has a slightly different taste feels more dry and off in the hamilton I come by here once in a while but the one in Mississauga is a better version, ordered the delivery way too but you need to work on that keep the food warm and why do I need to wait almost an hour for the food you can do better I don't wait an hour when I am at the location my location is about 5 min drive yah take this as constructive criticism the variety of food is still worth it for me only once in awhile or when I crave it, I had breakfast their I would say I love it forgot what I ordered but breakfast is 5/5 read more

Love the food and environment. Probably one of the best middle eastern restaurants in Hamilton. The service as well as the serving time could use a little improvement though. read more

While we love the hummus and fresh pita here at the Upper James, Hamilton location, it is a tough pill to swallow as some staff are quite rude to non-Arab customers. Also, my partner and I both got food poisoning on Oct 19/19... we'll be taking a break from this place for sure. read more

Very good service. Mostly crowded so needed to wait in line up for a while. The food is phenomenal. Totally worth the waiting!

I have never had such exceptional service at another paramount location. I'm a fan of middle eastern food, we had an issue with one of the salads and it was credited without even the slightest problem. The manager came around, very attentive and courteous, really nice fellow. Highly recommend this place. Their fresh bread and garlic sauce is to die for on a cold day. We had the yalla chicken which was also really good and their fresh orange juice is fantastic (large portion and worth the $). If we're ever in Hamilton, we'll be back. read more

Great food, good portions, friendly and helpful staff, clean location. Everything I like in a good restaurant. Everything is always fresh and very tasty. It gets a little noisy with the screaming kids in the playpark they have but for parents it must be a relief to be able to have their kids play while they enjoy an adult conversation so I can't really complain. read more

Love the food here, the hummus is delicious! My drink is the Paramount special, while it is a bit pricey I would recommend having it in place of dessert as it is more of a fruit salad rather than a beverage. Definitely worth a try! read more

Not a fan anymore. The staff and management have changed several times, and it's just not the same... The place is overcrowded and the food is below average. I miss the servers who use to care about the customers. read more

Great friendly service and great food. Very tasty and prices are good. Nice setting too. Try the fattoush salad with chicken. Very good. Will be back. read more

This place is a 3.5. Depends what you order. I really like chicken shawarma and I don't like theirs. But, what is good? The cheese manakeesh and the hummus with chicken and the falafel balls...although the falafel balls are inconsistent at this particular location. Sometimes the middle isn't cooked through and it's still cold or hard inside. The downtown Toronto location is much better. Their fries are good...but lack salt. read more

first time I tried this place was in Toronto and it was good. I have been to the Hamilton location 3 times before giving my opinion. I was disappointed all 3 times. chicken was very dry. fries weren't cooked still frozen. the pita with the toppings were very salty and we ordered 5 different ones. the only good thing I've had was the fresh baked pita. read more

I've eaten in and had take out and the food is terribly inconsistent. Over salty, dry meat and small portions lack of toppings for the price. The fresh pita bread is a nice touch, but it doesn't taste like anything... The restaurant is clean and casual with a neat play area for kids, but so much of the 'show' doesn't reflect the lack of quality in the food. They do have nice desserts, so I'd recommend skipping the entrees and heading straight to the sweets counter. Advice to the restaurant would be to spend less money on over packaging your takeout in tons of layers of garbage with your logo on it, and instead put that promotional budget back into making your food memorable and full of love. That's what people will return for. read more

Amazing place to eat! Staff is lovely and the food is amazing. I love the freshly squeezed orange or strawberry juice. The hummus is a must order the best I have had. The chicken shawarma plate is amazing! One of the best places for Shawarma in Hamilton! read more
