The guides, and the entire staff are very friendly and always fun. I first signed up just myself and my 8 year old for yesterday, then looked to see if my 4 year old could go, which they advertise as young as 2 year olds can go. What!? So I talked to my ( slightly timid) 4 year old about it and said yes, so we went and I was so impressed with how much fun she had. She laughed the entire time, did the entire course (tandem with me) and she even did the canyon plunge (optional) with little hesitancy and was grinning ear to ear. Bringing my kids and seeing their excitement made this my #1 all-time experience with Zip Adventures of Vail.

Our guide, Kevin, was an absolute star! He took so many pictures, gave us so much history as we drove, and pointed out all the sites to see. We even stopped for hot chocolate! Unfortunately, due to the snow, we didn't get to go tubing, but completely forgot about it til I wrote this review. Truly couldn't have imagined the tour with anyone else. Everyone was so kind from check in, to driving to the drop off spot, to coming back down after the tour. It was an incredible experience all around. Ps. Highly recommend getting the $30 insurance. A pair in our group unfortunately did tip the snowmobile over (all was fine and snowmobile was ok) but it's great to have just in case. You don't know how to navigate the turns until you're on them.

You see everything from open planes to tall mountain views. We got to ninety six hundred feet elevation from seventy five hundred feet,the starting point. Dust on the paths were doable with no issues. The helmets and face mask, as well as eye protection, were provided and worked awesome. Craig, the owner is very welcoming and does a super job running his company. I had a problem with my phone service. And he loaned me his phone for over an hour till I got my problem resolved. Way beyond the call of duty.

Where do I even start?! Mountain Musher provided us with one of the best experiences ever. From…read morestart to finish, they went above and beyond. When we arrived at the meet-up destination, we were pleasantly greeted by Brock, who gave us some information on the ride up the mountain. During the drive, he gave us great tips and some insight into what the sled ride would be like! When we arrived where the dogs were, we were greeted by other mushers and were guided to which sled we would be on. My boyfriend and I got to do our own rides with our own musher, making the experience that much better. I got to go with Wallie and my bf was paired with Brock. Let me just say that this whole experience was pure magic. You can tell these pups really love what they do, and their connection with the mushers is like no other. During our ride, Wallie was so sweet and gave me some background of the area and the kinds of animals they usually see. He told me the background of all the pups and how long he has been doing this. We stopped halfway to have some hot chocolate and homemade pumpkin bread (YUM). Wallie spoke about how his wife Denise loved baking and, let me tell you, that pumpkin bread was AMAZING. During the break, make sure to make your way to the pups and give them all lovings! That's what I did! When we finally finished our ride, we went into a small tent they have where they sell items Wallies daughter makes (i.e., paintings, ornaments). We bought a painting and an ornament as a keepsake of a wonderful experience. If you are in the area and are looking for somewhere to dog sled, this is the place to do it. Although we already did it once, we will return if we come back to Colorado because we enjoyed it that much!

We were picked up on time and taken to their location on the mountain to begin our experience. All the employees affiliated with Backcountry Tours were professional and efficient at getting us processed and out on our ski-doos with a thorough safety briefing and general instructions on driving the ski-doo. About a third of the way through our tour we stopped at a yurt for homemade sweet snacks and a warm drink as well as a potty break! The views were breath taking and we have some of the most memorable photos. I highly recommend Vail Backcountry Tours if you are looking for an amazing outdoor experience off the slopes!

We've trusted both of our…read morekids with their instruction, and every time the instructors have been incredibly supportive, patient, and encouraging. It's clear they know how to make kids feel comfortable while also helping them build skills and confidence on the mountain. Every year we put them in atleast one lesson so they remember the basics. The entire process is also very easy to navigate, which makes a huge difference. Especially on that first day when things can feel a little hectic. From check-in to getting them settled, everything runs smoothly and takes away any stress. Another big plus is the pick-up and drop-off location. It's centrally located on the mountain, making it super convenient to get the kids where they need to be and meet up afterward without any hassle, cause some days get very busy.

Some instructors apparently need be reminded they are in a hired role. Their position is to be of service, to follow instruction. While expectations may be different in class settings, what I've outlined should be the standard dynamic when an instructor is assigned to a family.

We stayed in unit 514 a couple of years ago and it was awesome - great furnishings, main level walkout to slopes from patio! This time we stayed in unit 409 and it was just average - beds were average for comfort, uncomfortable and insufficient seating in family room for a group of 6, obsolete TV with no way to stream from apple devices and very cheap paper products - tp, tissues and paper towels. I guess that is the difference between a Platinum or Premier Rating from Vail Resorts and just a standard unit! If it were priced less, I'd have fewer complaints but we expect more at this price!

The service was first rate. The people there are friendly and quick to help, while also discrete. It's right up the hill from the Ritz so you can get many of the services there as well as access to the nice restaurants and outdoor bar.
