What set this place apart from other locations is that you get to watch the instructions in the lobby before you enter the room. I feel this made for a better experience as we weren't crammed with our heads pointed upwards at a screen. We chose the Poltergeist room by looking at the website. We had no prior knowledge of the room, but it sounded fun to do. Once we got done with the instruction video we were led back to the room. Given a few reminders of the instruction video and set free in the room. What lacked here was the unenthusiastic interaction from the staff. I understand that they probably get bored a lot, but there was so much monotone in the voice. Once in the room, we kind of went through the motions and slowly figured out puzzle after puzzle. If you are afraid of the dark, this might not be the room for you, as you start in a nearly dark room, and it is a small, one room escape room. If you are a fan of Ghostbuster, you definitely need to try this room. The satisfaction you get from solving puzzle after puzzle and, if you are lucky, the final puzzle definitely gives you a feeling of accomplishment. However, if you are stumped at any time throughout the timeframe, you will hear a knock on the door and a clue will slide under to guide you along your way. Some things are kind of oddly put together, but some things, you might be able to skip on through. We kind of did that on a few things and ended up with almost ten minutes to spare when we completed the room. If you complete the room, they offer to take your pictures. And they post it to their Facebook page within a few days.

We were the only family of color on the boat, and I couldn't help but notice a pattern in how the host interacted with the passengers. Each time he came around with the sea creatures, he passed over my family and went directly to the White families. Their children were given the opportunity to hold, touch, and see the animals up close, while my family was skipped. The first time it happened, I spoke up and said, "Hey, my kids would like to hold them too," and only then did he come back to us. The second time, I intentionally stayed quiet to see if it would happen again--and it did. Once again, my family was passed over. My daughter was especially upset because she didn't get the same opportunity to participate as the other children. I can't say for certain why we were treated differently, but based on what I personally observed, it left me feeling singled out and unwelcome. No family should leave an experience feeling that way. When approached, the man who was working said he had no idea what happened when I mentioned what happened. Never mind the fact that several dog walkers/handlers brought in at a minimum 10 large breed dogs into an arcade. There were three workers at the counter at the entrance. Why would you allow that many dogs into an arcade?!!! I can understand therapy dogs, a dog in training, or a small dog, but this was a pack of large breed dogs. Two of them were pitbulls and the girl handling them obviously had no control. Unsafe environment by allowing people to bring in packs of dogs (whether in training or not).
