THE place to go for kayaking. The wildlife is amazing. I'm sure it's hit & miss, it's unpredictable wildlife after all. We had a great experience. You can book & pay online in advance or just walk in. Located in the Assateague National Seashore Park. They also rent bikes and paddle boards. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We did 2 hour tandem rental. They showed us the map with details on today's currents, wind, and wildlife spottings. They also provide a waterproof bag for your valueables, as they will get wet. No additional charge! They could easily take advantage of being the only place to get a drink or snack, but they don't. Water, juice, soda, icecream, snacks and souvenirs are all fair prices. We had a great experience and saw so much: horses, egrets, pelicans, gulls, turtles and fish. We loved in and definitely will come again.

I dig old school surf shops and this place was very cool. I even found some remake misfit skateboards I used to use when I was a kid! Staff was great and store was very clean.

We read the good reviews and we weren't disappointed. Dave was an excellent kayak guide -- keeping it interesting, and was flexible enough to adapt to our individuals' interests. As a local resident, I wasn't sure I would see or do anything new or different - but it was very different seeing things from the bayside and from a kayak, and getting out several times for activities. Not a workout at all - very easy. Diane at the rental location is great too! Lastly, 50% of the profits goes to an excellent local non-profit, Maryland Coastal Bays.

In my opinion this is well worth checking out. I feel that they have the best kayak tours around and the friendliest guides!

Matt was very nice and professional. We took a tandem kayak out today for a couple of hours and we had a great time.

He was patient as we introduced our dogs to the kayak and switched rowers! They have a great mounting and dismounting platform that made it easy for beginners to get in and out. Sooooo much fun.

Both Steve and Suzie are excellent, friendly and accommodating hosts and really know their way around this waterway. You embark from right behind their property with quality equipment and a really informative briefing on paddling techniques and boat launching. They use a special boat launch device where you can step off a dock directly into the boat without having to enter the actual water...nice to stay dry! The paddle itself took us along this intercoastal (brackish water) waterway where we saw some really interesting wildlife including many bird varieties and even some muskrats (we may have interrupted them making baby muskrats...sorry Mr. & Mrs.!!!). Coolest part of the wildlife tour was seeing two separate bald eagle nests, both with eaglets inside! Those nests are soooo huge, like 300 pounds and several feet wide! After returning from the 2 hour-ish paddle, Steve and Suzie fired up their firepit to offer us both warmth and a place to have a cookout! We brought along drinks, hot dogs and all the fixings for s'mores and shared them around the group. It was fun getting to know folks a bit better and again the owners were the perfect hosts for the entire adventure. I cannot recommend Ayers Creek Adventures more highly...give them a try for a really fun and unique experience while in the area!

I was here again with my same family of five including two elementary school children. This time I rented two double kayaks for 1 hour at $30 each or $60 total. I also rented one single kayak for one hour or $20. Our total cost was $80 for two doubles and one single kayak in total. This time we traveled south in the bay since the current was moving North. That made it easier for us to kayak back to the kayak base. We returned within one hour. I also purchased a Coastal Kayak hoodie for $40. We agreed we will return here again.

I showed up on the day of my arrival and rented a 10" board with no problems. FYI - the 10" board fit in my compact-size SUV with the headrests removed, front seat down and fin removed. The rental included a paddle and the board also had a leash. I had my own Coast Guard approved lifejacket. I also booked the Burton Island's wildlife guided tour which was a 2-hour tour thru the salt marsh around Burton's Island. Bob (our guide) gave a quick "kayaking 101" before we started and off we went. We had 8 total in our group which was a perfect size for the tour. On the tour we observed ospreys, lots of different types of sea gulls, cormorants who use the bay as a runway before taking off into the blue sky, horseshoe crabs, teeny-tiny fiddler crabs no bigger than a quarter, and little turtles popping up to see what was going on as we were paddling thru the marsh. Bob is a great tour guide with lots of info about the area and wildlife. The meeting point for the tour is the Burton Island's trail head located on the north end of the Indian River Marina inside the Delaware Seashore State Park. For me, it was a short15 minute drive from where I was staying in Fenwick Island. Price wise - the tour and SUP rental were quite reasonable. I will definitely rent from Coastal Kayak the next time I'm in Fenwick Island.

I could tell my hip stabilizers & quads had been utilized (from all the balancing) later in the day haha. Reasonable pricing for an hour. For 2 ppl came to like $43. Be prepared to go for an hour cuz they don't have shorter time increments. Or just buy an hr and come back to shore when you're over it. Honestly; you'll need the hour just to acclimate to maneuvering the board. The place also offers glow in the dark paddle boarding! Looks cool but I'd be weary of any sea creatures in the bay at night. I've been watching way too much shark week/fest on Nat Geo lately lol. Only downfall in my opinion is that not all the instructors are made equal. Saw an older man & younger guy teach a couple groups before us and both were very thorough with their paddle board tutorials. This girl that I thought was just another paid customer approached us out of nowhere like "you ready?!"... oh ok no intro. She was quick with her instructions and def got us into the water fast. Seemed like she was ready to clock TF out for the day before she even started. I had fun for my 1st paddle board experience. I didn't fall. Success!I just would've been even better without this girl instructor's negative vibe. Issa whole mood that I wasn't feelin' at all. But she
