The course is in terrible shape. Worn carpet and numerous holes in the green. The plastic cups are slightly above the carpet, which makes it near possible to make any shot. The course is very dirty, full of rocks and sand. Will not be back here again. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Paradise Golf is not my favorite putt putt course in the OBX, but they are my favorite place for family entertainment. Not only do they have two putt putt courses, but they have bumper cars, go carts, and a small arcade. They have several vending machines for drinks and snacks. I have to give them props for being open in the off season when all the other putt putt courses are closed. Not only were they opened, they gave us a discount without even asking. Really, the only issue I have with the putt putt is their holes are not as challenging as other courses in the area. It is a very nice course! We went the day before thanksgiving and they were packed! I would go back! read more

This is our second year in a row coming here and we will not be back. The first time was nothing special with customer service but this year- never again. This park, which seemed ideal for my son, was not actually as "good for kids" as advertised. Certainly not little kids. The place we have been going to during our stay for go karts doesn't open until 4pm. I came across this place on the map to try to get my almost 4 year old one more round of go-karts in as we are leaving this morning. The map directed me to Facebook as their website. There were no rules or regulations stated, it was not updated regularly or recently. We arrived at 9:45am and there was absolutely NO other customers there except for two groups golfing. We walked in to get tickets and the cashier asked how old my son was, my husband stated almost 4 and then she asked if he was tall enough... and he wasn't. I am aware that the girl was just doing her job, my issue with this place is that my son was so excited when he saw the go karts only to be told no after he's been riding else where all weekend which- would have been avoided if we had been able to look up the rules and requirements. Especially, being told no while there was no one else around or interested in go-karting. The place we have been going to had a wonderful and informative website that was also user friendly! I am still not sure of the age requirement at paradise but the place we have been going was 2 years old which is quite the difference. read more

Disclaimer: this experience is from the high/ busy summer season. We got in line for go karts at 8:36pm and stepped out of the karts at 10pm. I was last place and got lapped multible times by other people after the old man working was laughing at me and saying that I was driving to fast and was hitting people so the slowed my kart way down. When I came to this business for mini golf, it was not as busy when I walked in. After I paid for the mini golf, I went outside to get my ball and putter. I then realized that there was a long line to get both items. After, I went to the course that I chose to play on and there was very long lines for both courses. After maybe a 13 year hiatus, I was really excited to play mini-golf while on vacation in the Outer banks. Fun themes, obstacles to maneuver through, and pretty scenery to dazzle my eyes were all anticipated. Then I arrived here and all my dreams were shattered. Although the golf was cheap, I didn't really feel like I got a bang for my buck. The 18 holes were rather plain and boring, since it felt like our group kept doing the same thing over and over again. Excellent putt putt course for adults - and kids too - with many obstacles and twists. No two holes are the same. Made the game interesting. Will be coming back next year! We did one of the minigolf courses. Some of the earlier review lament broken bricks and twigs on the course: that was definitely not a problem here. Everything was clean and the courses were completely clear of debris. The carpet looked pretty new, too; not yet sun-bleached or torn anywhere. Probably the cleanest-looking place I've played. The holes themselves weren't too remarkable: not especially challenging, not too gimmicky. There was one that could involve your ball being carried down the water, which was kind of neat. There isn't much cover on the golf course -- while I think the simple course is probably pretty accessible for kids, the lack of shade might make you think twice about bringing youngsters. Nothing all that spectacular, nothing horrible. Next time, I imagine we'll head someone place else -- not because of anything wrong here, but just to see what else the town has to offer. read more

Fun, straightforward go karts. My 10 year old was really excited that she could drive herself (though you also have to be at least 4'8" - she is). Staff was friendly. We went during spring break (mid-April), and had very little wait, but a full track. Be prepared to drop some money in the arcarde. read more

They get 1 lonely star & NO $ from us! Took our 3 boys to ride go karts AND they were old enough, but two weren't tall enough. They shouldn't even have a starter age when they rely on height only!!! Maybe it's to reach the pedal, but it's still pathetic & a HUGE disappointment when kids are finally old enough to ride them, but can't. Should've known they had issues when there were 10 "don't do this" flyers on their front doors... Staff also needs an attitude adjustment. You make NC look bad!! read more

I love putt putt. We drove down from Va Beach just to play some putt putt on a beautiful weekend day. $15 for 36 hole per person and it took about maybe a little over an hour to get through. It was fun and the holes werent overly easy, actaully neither of us got a hole in one but were close on a lot of the holes which made it more competitive. Good time and good value read more

The husband and I went here because we just wanted something to fill our afternoon before dinner while we visited the Outer Banks. We had a really good time. When we called to ensure that they were open the guy told us about a coupon that could be found in the "Sunny Day". We found the coupon book in the hotel lobby and went right over. We played the Blackbeard course and we really enjoyed ourselves. If we had enough time we would have done the go-karts. We did only the Go-Karts. I've never raced electric ones before. My first comment on getting in the cart was, "hey, this is nicer than my car". Well, my car is a '97 so... The cars were done up like nascar - Home Depot, Wings, Mountain Dew, etc. Anyhoo, there is a height restriction and it's under 56" has to ride with an adult. My youngest had to ride with me which didn't excite him much. It's beginning of June so there was hardly anyone anywhere, so there were 5 cars on the track. Had we come 10 minutes or earlier or later we might have been the only one on the track. My oldest was a little upset that he couldn't get around the what looked like a16 year old poking around the course being extra careful. But the cars were fast IMHO and the track had some nice curves and a nice straightaway. Opened up on the straightaway I feel like the brake was necessary to save you if if you accelerated too long into that turn. But letting off the "gas" also slows the cart down so timing it right means never using the brake is possible (don't know if the single person carts were faster than the doubles). Fun, $10.00, and under 56" has to ride with an adult. This place also has Bumper "cars" (they're round) and putt-putt so for a "one-stop" place it might be good, especially if you've got a mixture of ages. I saw the smaller kids who had to ride tandem on the race course riding solo on the bumper cars. From what I could see of the Putt-putt, it didn't look like anything special. If you've got a child that's 10 to 14, but small, they might be "too old" for the bumper cars and "not tall enough" for the solo racetrack, so this might not be the best place (especially for the price) for them. We had been to Full Throttle (Nags Head Raceway) previously and went immediately after this and I'll post a review of that one too. Since my youngest could ride solo on one track, I like this one a bit better, even though the track isn't as interesting and the cars are slightly older gas carts, but in good shape. read more

Nice course didn't notice any wear and tear except for one hole and that looked fairly fresh but wasn't an issue. Did both courses. A little pricier than expected but not sure of the costs of other courses there. Pace was good on the first course, but after 5 pm wow did this place fill up. On the first 18 we had a group of 11 (it tells you to only have groups of 6) playing the same hole, which did slow things down. I understand you want to keep your family together but you could have two groups and keep the pace moving a little more. Second 18 holes, was just a lot of people. Overall we probably were there for 2- 2 1/2 hrs. Maybe a little longer than we wanted, but the temp was perfect with a slight breeze. Would go back again, just would try to time it for better speed of play. read more

I went with my girlfriend and mom mainly because while driving by, the go kart track caught my attention, looked superb! We paid the 10$ each, and waited the generally short line. Somebody hit the back of my girlfriend's car (we were racing right by each other) then me, my girlfriend, and this guy spun out of control. Not my fault whatsoever, I got kicked off the go karts, leaving my girlfriend sad to no longer racing by me. I was really upset. But the putt putt was worth the money, with a good ambiance and good company. Very fun, not too difficult. Overall, worth the money but watch out for the asshole employees who run go karts and putt putt stands. read more

Seems like the management updated the place since the last 2010 review. The mini-golf course had new green turf, anything that may have been damaged has been fixed. Not the most elaborate course in town, but clean, and functional. The go-karts were a lot of fun, downside was the height restrictions, but that is to be expected for safety and lawsuit issues. I had to take turns with my kids in the 2-person cart. I did not experience any of the shut-downs others reported and I never used the brake. Now to be fair to the other reviewers, there was no one on the course my first drive and 3 cars on the second. Maybe the track crew has more leniency when the crowd is small and the drivers older. The cars worked great and my kids and I had a good time. We also did the bumper cars. These too were fun and the attendant working the ride was awesome. Even for a small crowd he was full of enthusiasm and really made it more fun for the kids. The arcade however is lacking and thus my 4-stars. If you are looking for something to do to kill some time outside of the beach/pool, then the go cart and bumper cars are worth a look. The mini-golf did not have a lot of shade, so beware of the sun/heat in the afternoon. read more

We just got back from go-karting and it was terrible. During our race, they were randomly stalling all of us with their electronic remote controls. We went to the manager to ask for an explanation and we were told that they were electronically stalling us because we weren't braking. There was no need to brake! You can take the entire course with the gas pedal floored and be fine. But the manager told us there were no refunds. They do NOT explain this rule beforehand and the rule is bogus anyway. For $10 per person per race it is a flaming ripoff. read more

We played mini-golf - 18 holes. The course was fun and even though it was busy did not have to wait a lot. Our kids enjoyed it (7 and 10). We also went on the Go carts, it was around 8ish and there was a long line...about 40 or so people in line and it took about 40 minutes for us to drive. They are electric, first time I have driven electric go carts. Staff were good kept things going as fast as they could. The actual driving was fun, around 5 minutes (8-9) times around the track, which the track was a fun track, not just oval and not just a figure 8. All the cars ran fine (my son drove on his own and myself and my daughter rode together) plenty of room in the double car for both of us...I never smooshed her when driving which has happened at other places. I did not notice the staff slowing the rides down...in my mind just making sure the riders were safe which I would prefer than the other. We were at another go cart track in another state (a week before) and they had a cart stop working and the staff was verbally and motioning to the other drives to avoid the one that stopped and not sure how no one got hurt plus it happened two more times...the electric cars seemed more reliable to me and safer. All in all we had a good time and recommend it. read more

This place was a complete waste of money. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! We went to several go cart tracks today. This however is the worst. I thought it would be cool to drive electric cars but it wasn't. Waited over an hour for 3 races because the stupid things died. Half the cars would barely go. Each race stopped 4 times cause of car problems. They are overprotective of the cars it makes it even less fun. I watched a kid get scolded cause someone cut him off and he bumped them. I will NEVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! read more
