The Plano event center itself is just a huge box of a building designed to hold a lot of people. Things like,car shows, rallies,speaking engagements, antique shows. The only way to get here is on a back farm country road with only one lane going in each direction. I did loose google map service for a few minutes but it came back up. Keep an eye out for your turn because it will suck if you miss it haha, also remember since is only one road you will be blocking cars behind you if you are waiting to turn so dont feel bad. The entrance has a big sign so just keep your eye open. You will go through a cattle guard (cattle bridge) to get into the property. Follow the dirt road to the back of the property, you will come across a house and a very shady sketchy garage/shed that looks like it could be from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre lol. There are 2 dirt paths follow either one, one is towards the house the other is towards the garage, your going to pass between the garage/shed and the house to get to the actual building where they hold events. When I went they had security out in the dirt lot directing traffic and telling people were to park. I am glad they were there because without them people would park wherever haha. The day of the wedding it was cold and windy because it was November so all the wedding events took place inside. They have along walkway that leads to the main building and once inside you find the bathroom right there in the lobby. Passing this lobby you get to the main salon space. They have stage for a band or DJ, on one end they the bride room and on the other end they have the groom's room. On another corner they have the kitchen prep area and on the other corner they have a bar area for drinks. The rest is just open space with some support columns that kind of divide the room and set the dance floor/seat of honor. Like I mention before we did not go outside but peeking outside the windows I did see a path leading down to the take but I did not dare go outside because it was so cold/windy. The whole look of the venue is Texas/rustic and honestly I love that kind of look. I love the vibe of the lace and leather but my friend did not decorate over the top. The decorations were keept to a minimum but it still look nice. The venue looked like it might have been an old barn because on one side they had barn doors to bring in big equipment, that being said the venue did not have any insulation. YOU READ THAT RIGHT,,,NO INSULATION. But I did noticed they had heating pipes going all over the ceiling to heat up the room on nights like this. You could feel the heat from the heating pipes above so it was not all bad. The bathroom were super rustic looking, it had metal roof shingles as door and they had that instead of drywall. Still very cute and going with the theme, the sinks were cement I believe, I did not like that a lot of the bathrooms were not flushing well and towards the end of the night there was no toilet paper in a couple of the stalls. I cannot review the food/music/wait staff because they were contracted separately from the venue (according to my friend). Towards the end of the night I noticed they had tea lights hanging outside the venue and along the walkway and I could see the beauty of this place on a summer night with those lights out by the pond. Gorgeous! I guess thats all I can review about this place. I had ordered a vodka cranberry and he picked something else out for me in the beginning that I didn't like the taste. I'm not a big drinker so I don't have a signature drink. Finally, when there's cake arrived, I really wanted coffee but they didn't offer it. Instead I walked up to get champagne. It said $6 so I went to my husband to get some cash. He kind of complained a little and said that he had already given the man $20. I'm not used to my husband complaining and being a penny pincher so I was a little caught off guard. I order the one glass of Champagne and the guy handed me back $12 instead of $14 for the change. I noticed it right away, but had already planned on giving him a $2 tip so I just moved on. When I told my husband what happened he said the guy did it to him too. I think that because we were in a happy setting we were both hesitant to cause a scene. I spoke with the bride a few days later and she informed me that they weren't allowed to have their own bartender. Knotting Hill needs to fix this. We attended an event called "Bingo Loco" at Frisco Hall Event Center and it was one of the most fun…read morenights I've had in a long time! Yes, a bingo event, lol. If you think its a traditional bingo night, think again. Bingo Loco is wild!!! High-energy from beginning to end. Imagine bingo, a dance party, a game show, all rolled into one. You'll have to do a quick search to learn more about Bingo Loco. Its held in various locations all over the country. Tickets range from per person to a reserved VIP table. If you go solo or with a small group, its open seats. This location was long tables and seating was euro style. We enjoyed everyone around us. This specific event offered food (nachos, popcorn, pizza slices, etc), drinks (water, soda, fruity alcohol in a wine crafe & jello shots) and swag. The doors closed 7pm sharp, lights dimmed down and the neon lights turned the room into a party house. Our host and Dj were AMAZING: funny, sexy, and really kept the crowd completely engaged the entire time. Impressive! The way it works is simple: you get one bingo card, a highlight pen, and the Dj plays several rounds of music through out the evening. But instead of typical letters and numbers called out.. the Dj plays music that matches songs on your bingo card. Bingo was one row (5 boxes) in a horizontal direction. It was easy to follow. Don't feel intimidated if you don't know the music, it's all part of the fun. Most people used apps lol. There were some pretty cool prizes. I'm sure it's different at each event. We had the chance to win everything from an air fryer, jumbo sized pink sloth, karaoke machine, disco ball football helmet, a giant dildo penis mounted to a bucket, and a trip for 2 to Las Vegas (to name a few). Between rounds, there were sing-alongs, confetti blasts, a chance to stand up and dance to the music, and random moments of pure chaos that kept the energy level through the roof!!! I LOVED that this was a 21+ event. The mature audience made it feel more like a fun night out with friends than a family entertainment event. Everyone was there to let loose, laugh, dance, and have a good time. Maybe too much fun lol. The hype surrounding Bingo Loco is absolutely justified. I've seen videos online and wondered if it could really be that fun in person. The answer is yes. The crowd was enthusiastic, and fully committed to the experience.
