We hosted both our ceremony and reception there for 150 guests, and it couldn't have worked out better. One of the biggest advantages of 34 Events is how much is handled in-house. From linens and flatware to special lighting, catering, and the bar, so much was coordinated through the venue, which made the planning process incredibly easy and stress-free. The food was prepared on-site and was delicious. We received numerous compliments from our guests. We also utilized Hope's Day-of Coordination services, and it was worth every penny. They could have offered us a replacement class or a pickup order of new fresh macaroons, but we were simply told "sorry, it happens sometimes". A family that's very dear to me lost their daughter to leukemia last year, and her fourteenth birthday loomed large and heavy on the horizon. They had talked about doing a balloon release to honor her memory, but they were looking for a way to make the day special. Meanwhile, I was looking for a way to not only memorialize Olivia's passing, but celebrate her wonderful life. When I found Matt online, I was elated. You can tell just by looking at his balloons that he has a gift. I knew that, by using his tremendous talent, Matt would help make a bittersweet day a little bit sweeter for this family. And he did. He worked closely with me to select fourteen designs that were special, just like Olivia. Each one was a reflection of something she held dear---her puppy dog, her favorite movie, her nickname ("princess"). Matt stayed in frequent communication with me over a period of a few days, making sure he had everything exactly right. And he did. He made fourteen beautiful balloons, each one thoughtful and perfect (not to mention fabulous!). Then he drove them to the family's house for a personal delivery. I thought this young man was trying to raise money for college so I like his story on that. Three phone calls over two days. I left messages and clearly stated my call back information. I sent texts to him but no reply. I moved on and called Awesome Party and Events. They were true professionals. This young businessman has a lot to learn about doing business with the public. Answer your messages in a timely manner if you are going to run a business youngster. He did reach out a month later to me in February and offered to do the party event BUT I still question how he runs a business on reasons of ill health. It is good business if you are going to be out to have someone monitor and cover your calls to at least let people know what is going on. Perhaps leaving a voicemail that you are ill and not taking business call at this time to let people who are calling know. I waited two days thinking he may be busy with school so gave him the benefit of the doubt. I had to move on and he cost me two days of looking. How would he like it if customers did him that way. You cannot wait. A month to return a call is not a saving grace in my book of business practices.
