    Paradise Coffee

Well-known local coffee shop serving pour overs, cold brew, and specialty coffees. My husband ordered the local island coffee and said it was smooth, hot, and delicious. There were two little chairs outside so we could sit and watch. Apparently, the secret is to wet the filter before pouring in a coffee!

This is a small coffee bar we walked across while wanting to nab some coffee. They have some unique flavors - we sampled them all! I opted for the cold brew (it was hot out!) and my partner went with the drip-coffee. Note: you can't rush good coffee, cruise people. Make adequate time! Our barista was knowledgeable about their coffee and roasting, was super friendly, and had us in and out! There is a SMALL seating area out front - enough for a couple people, so don't come here expecting to hang out. Grab your coffee and check out the rest of downtown Hilo!

Found out about paradise after going to Koana in Mountain View, HI. We enjoyed their red wine brew and wanted to stop by since paradise had a location in Hilo. They have some of the best specialty coffee I've ever had. My favorite was the Colombian in a cold brew form, it reminded me of a fruity black tea, so unique!! Unlike any coffee I've ever had. The place requires a bit of a wait as the coffee takes time to brew but it's worth the wait!

This place is a gem! If you are visiting Hilo this is the place to stop for coffee. Their coffee is something I've never tasted before. I'm a non coffee person and I had to drink one because of how good it was. They have samples and they let you try them out. I had the champagne fermented coffee and it was delicious.

Delicious cold brew! Very friendly staff too. We took home a bag of espresso beans for brewing at home.

As coffee lovers, Heavenly Hawaiian constantly came up in my research and I'm glad we toured for ourselves. The grounds itself are absolutely gorgeous and that view from the hill onto the ocean is unreal! I can't for the life of me remember our tour guides name but she was such a joy and extremely knowledgeable. Learning about the different coffee variants that are grown such as Kona typica, Progeny 502, and the "boujee girl" Geisha was awesome to learn about and see for ourselves. Did I mention endless coffee sampling? Such a relaxing atmosphere to sip all the coffee you want and enjoy that view. And the cutest cats on the property were such a delight mingling with the guests. All staff members were so helpful and they even treated us with a goodie bag of freshly picked fruits from the farm and a bag of peaberry bites (my new favorite) all as a thank you for paying a visit on our honeymoon! Was not expecting that all but such a sweet gesture! I would highly recommend Heavenly Hawaiian farms to anyone if you're on the Big Island or in the Kona area. Absolutely worth the trip up the hill and to feel the aloha from the staff and grounds.

There is something to be said about the view and the fantastic coffee!!!! Wow was it top tier! It feels like a custom tropical treehouse. We sat around her concrete table as we sipped sample after sample of award winning Kona coffee. On the TV we watched a live feed of the volcano. It was such a genuine experience all the way through. She took the time to walk us around the farm and explain the entire process. So much effort goes into making such a delicious cup of coffee. This place is highly recommended. Great Kona coffee in a wonderful casual atmosphere!…read more I had to meet up/interview a potential Big Island candidate in Kailua-Kona and I was basically looking for a casual place where I could meet, enjoy a drink, and have a little bit of conversation. Kona Coffee & Tea was the place of choice here in Kailua-Kona. Located at the Kona Coast Shopping Center, you can find this little coffee shop just next door from KFC. The coffee shop is easy to find, as other business surrounding this business is the KTA Superstore, Hele Gas Station, HFS Federal Credit Union, O'Reilly Auto Parts, as well as many numerous eateries. It was late in the afternoon, so I basically came here for some drinks. I had to try their Kona Coffee, and I must say it did not disappoint! The coffee shop has indoor, as well as covered outdoor seating. The shop does sell some food items, but I did not partake or looked at what they had to offer. There was also coffee shop merchandise, but I did not have time to take a look at what they had to offer. Overall, as great coffee shop and if I'm in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stop by for their wonderful coffee.

Unless you're a coffee connoisseur, you may want to skip the pour over for something a bit less special to save yourself a few dollars. The coffee was fine, but my unrefined palette was not able to fully appreciate the cup of brew. In terms of atmosphere, Kona Coffee & Tea has plenty of seating outdoors around the porch and a few high tables indoor, where they have AC blasting at full strength. They have free Wi-Fi available as well, so I saw a lot of people posting up on their laptops. Parking is plentiful and easy to find since this coffee spot is located in a strip mall. If you have a discerning palette for the subtle flavors that show up in different coffee beans, you will definitely want to stop by for a cup.
