Okay, W O W. Like, and I cannot stress this enough, W O W. This place is smaller but has seating behind where you order, although we ordered to go. It did take about fifteen to twenty minutes, but I'd wait double that for how delicious everything was. My husband ordered a Cubano, and I the fish tacos and we split the plantains. Everything was seasoned and flavored perfectly, and so fresh. It's clear that someone knows what they're doing back in that kitchen because even the tortillas were delicious. Service was great. This place is well worth the stop in for a delicious lunch. read more

As some of you may know, I have been on a mission, for the last four years, to find the best street tacos in America. The al pastor tacos from Paradise Cafe are on par with the best Ive had anywhere.. Mexico included. The staff had great energy and the shaded dining area was perfect. I loved this diner, BUT my group would have loved it more if there'd been an actual table in the tiki bar area. Yup, that's my group. I have been going here several times a month. For several years now. It is always amazing and you are always greeted with a smile whether it's a dine in with their little tiki shack or a quick to go meal. The beef soup special is the ultimate hangover cure or perfect meal if you have a cold. The pastor quesadilla is literal perfection! The tacos are great but my go to in the morning is a wake up burrito but add a hash brown inside. Their coffee is always piping hot too and priced better than most everywhere else. I have yet to have anything from their menu I didn't like. read more

I like this place! The cortadito (with sugar) is perf. Locals eat here; that's all I ever see eating here. I went at 12:15 PM and it was 7 locals and me (total). Not too busy during that time. The breakfast sandwich needs a little flavor assist which is why I add avocado to mine. Even so, maybe more bacon or more salt, maybe everything bagel seasoning? read more

Famished after a lengthy drive to Key West, we found this hole in the wall cafe for lunch. Street parkings were available around the cafe. While we waited for our order of Cuban Mix sandwich, steak quesadillas and tamarind Jarritos, we were greeted and entertained by couple cafe pet chickens. I preferred the Cuban Mix sandwich (4/5) over the steak quesadillas (3.5/5, slightly greasy but good flavor). Overall, not the best Cuban sandwich on the Florida Keys, but very solid food for Key West and price point seems reasonable for the more touristy areas. read more

Located in Key West with a very hole in the wall feel and a no nonsense Cuban/ Mexican spot. For Key West, the prices aren't bad but I'm not the biggest fan of social media spots, which this is apparently one of. Parking is only accessible with street parking on the nearby streets. We got the steak quesadilla at $14 and the Cuban mix sandwich at $12 and a tamarind Jarritos at $3. The quesadilla was slightly greasy but a fine meal if you're hungry. The Cuban was decent but not the best one I've had today on the Keys. Is this a decent hole in the wall spot for locals at a reasonable price for the main island? Yes. Will it blow your socks off? I wish I took photos but had the fish and pastor tacos, they were DELICIOUS! Fish and chips were also very well seasoned. I got worried at first as it looked dry and there was no tar tar sauce but it was definitely worth eating! Only issue, they did not have beer even though it was on the menu and the veggie burrito had some chicken pieces and onions even though I asked for them to be removed. read more

We stopped by for lunch to take to the beach. I got a BLT and added avocado. Very generous with the bacon and a good sandwich. My husband got the fresh fish sandwich and really enjoyed that as well. My picky toddler ate a cheese quesadilla and some fries. They have a lot of options, good serving sizes, and decent prices. They do have a seating area in the back with bar style seating if you want to eat there. Would recommend if you're looking for lunch on the go. read more

My Gods, my favorite cafe con leche on the island! And the empanadas will send you straight into a mental paradise with that old school McDonald's-like hot pie crust some will remember. My Gods!! Lol Meh, parking's not always easy, the space itself is a bit rustic for some, and they do get fairly busy ...but they're sooo totally worth it. They're actually a pretty good family run business and you can taste their love for what they do in the food. Delicioso! read more

Super Impressed by Paradise Café. I have been going all around the island trying to find the best café con leche. And I found many great coffee places. But Paradise Café is the winner in this category, in my opinion. They serve Cuban/Mexican/Central American cuisine. It's seems to be a little bit of everything. I ordered the breakfast tacos. It consisted of black beans, queso, eggs, chorizo, and I can't remember what else. It was delicious, filling, and affordable. I love cheap eats! I also ordered a chicken empanada. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy. Yay! Like many places in Key West, you order at the window and take your food to go. There are a few seats outside, if you prefer to eat right there. I'll give it 5 stars. Good coffee, fair prices, wonderful breakfast. read more

Definitely a must have when visiting Key West!! Saw a recommendation from social media and glad we stopped!! David recommended amazing options and was so very kind and raised right!!! Had the breakfast sandwich h and added a hash brown.. phenomenal .. had the empanadas... beef were OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING!!! Coffee was yum chefs kiss!!! Now you must try the "picante" which is their hot sauce ... they need to bottle that and sell it!!! read more

My husband and I were out and wanting a mid day cup of coffee and so we utilized the 15 minute parking and stopped by! The coffee is DELICIOUS- we ordered a cafe con leche and a small iced coffee (yes to the sugar) strong, sweet, and creamy... the perfect coffee especially for $4! We also ordered a snack- a beef empanada and chicken one as well as a side of chips and guac. The guac was fresh and sour just enough lime and cilantro! The beef empanada was our favorite, well seasoned and fried up crispy! The service was friendly and food was made to order fresh, can't beat that! They had a backyard seating area that was shaded with fans plus the curbside parking... perfect place to stop in for a mid day pick-me-up! read more

Paradise Cafe is no doubt a local hole in the wall cafe. Found off the beaten path I was recommended this spot by a local TikTok page and the food was great and the prices were low. Next time tho I would want to try their breakfast tacos or burrito since they seem to be the most popular items on the menu. Service was quick and the coffee was strongest I've had in a while. No complaints and perfect for a busy day we had planned out on the water. read more

Great home made food. Met the brothers and the mother who cooks the best empanadas I've ever had. great service and best meal we had during our 7 days on the island, hands down. great family that owns and runs the restaurant. everything was fresh! great coffee. We sat at the outdoor bar. Distinct Caribbean vibe located in the historic Bahama Village. Daria brought us drinks & menus. Lots of breakfast & lunch choices here. We started with a Bloody Maria ($13) & a Hot Irishman coffee ($12) - both were excellent. Lot's of breakfast choices from fancy pancakes to various eggs Benedict breakfast dishes. Shrimp & Grits - Key West Shrimp Sautéed in White Wine. Butter and Scallions over Grits and White Cheddar w/ fresh fruit ($19) & Andy's Grilled Sharp Cheddar Cheese & Tomato Sandwich w/ potatoes ($13) - again both were excellent. Very relaxing atmosphere on a somewhat busy lunch time. There is also a gift shop featuring their baked desserts and the usual tourist souveniers & clothing. Both Husband and I ordered the special omelette, with lobster, bacon, and tomato. The dish was rich and delicious, with an entire lobster tail and plenty of bacon. To top it off, the omelette was accompanied by a slice of banana bread. We were not impressed by the key lime pie. Although the pie looks impressive, topped by a huge mound of meringue, it tasted a bit stale. Its consistency was heavy, and the meringue flavorless. Don't let the pie, however, stop you from going to Blue Heaven. The brunch is great service is friendly, and you can't beat the atmosphere, eating outdoors with the chickens and artwork. Tip: arrive early to avoid a long wait.

Three of us ordered the potato quiche of the day special, which came with a fresh and crisp side salad. The quiche portion was large and it was very good. I would typically eat half that amount, but I had to finish it! The pastries were also top notch.
