Buffet is a difficult thing to review, as there are so many different foods and no one tries everything in the restaurant. That said, what got me to give them five stars here is the custom Mongolian BBQ, and the price that's attached to it - $16.59 for all you can eat dinner. The Mongolian is TOP NOTCH. Beef that clearly is a decent cut, thin sliced and ready for cooking (the lamb and the chicken are the same, but I didn't try these), mixed in with whatever veggies and standard Mongolian BBQ sides you can imagine - I loaded up my bowl with pineapple and noodles and had an absolute feast. Seriously better than actual Mongolian restaurants in the area! And then you get dessert to go with it, or any of the other food they have. A lot of Chinese food like cream cheese wontons, orange chicken, sautéed shrimp and teriyaki chicken, along with traditional dinner foods like pork chops and roast beef and the usual sides that go with them. Came in and right away noticed that they received a B for their health inspection and would have left if I was not compromised by my family planning on meeting here. Tables were fairly clean and we were sat right away. The quality of food here can be summed up into one word: unpleasant. If you read their recent health report you'll find some things that make you wish you hadn't because it makes you think twice before eating certain things that can be contaminated easily like salad and other food which made it hard to pick something that I was less likely to get sick from. Why is this even up for debate though? I shouldn't have to feel unsafe in an environment they I paid to be in. For example I noticed that the fish someone from our family picked up was still raw! Food can clearly be seen stored in the back and the quality of the food tastes and feels like it's been reheated at least twice this week. The one special factor was that they had a Mongolian beef area where you can make your own bowl which is a nice touch and was the only decent thing that I ate. But alas like any other consumer I made an attempt to eat the dessert and was fairly disappointed by the dry German chocolate cake and flavorless cheesecake. I really would like to see this business bring in more consumers but I think because of management and team efforts to keep standard quality they are not able to break out of the usual customers they get that somehow keep returning. The price this business has remained stagnant to a specific group of consumers who overlook quality for a favorable price instead. In my opinion charging only $14-$25 per person in this economy will not sustain better food quality and limits what can actually be made there. I give it 2 stars for their helpful staff and Mongolian beef stand. I will never return here and will not recommend this place to others. read more

This place is meh. They charge you $5 for a glass on top of that it's $23 a person. The food is heated by lamps, they were closed for a few months due to a county health inspection failing grade. 11 violations are listed in the County of San Bernardino health department. Their current grade is a B. You used to be able to eat for free when it was your birthday alone or with a second person other than yourself. Overall , everything was your basic standard menu .. only thing I liked was the dessert menu & Mongolian bar aka make your own noodles with all kinds of sauces , veggies & protein . Decided to drop by and try out this place seeing that there's always a lot of cars parked in front. It's a pretty generic buffet in the area, and for around $13+ for lunch, it's not that bad. I personally enjoyed several cycles of the Mongolian BBQ section for the hot food portion. Unfortunately, I can't say much for everything else, and only found the BBQ section to be the highlight. The place isn't horrible the staff is friendly and the food is mid . They have magnolia bbq which is yummy. Plenty of desserts and a lot of costumers come. Price is not bad my only complaint is the cooks sometimes whistle while cooking and it's so gross while they are so close to the food . Solid 3 1/2 stars. They definitely do a whole lot better of keeping the Mongolian bbq area tidy now. It didn't have a Moo smell when I came in like last time. They have a huge amount of selection. Chines food items and American dinner items. The dessert area was enormous. Tons of things to choose from there as well. Overall I like what they've done to do betteR with cleaning up. As soon as we were finished they would come for our dirty plates as well. So service has gone up as well. Mind you we came at 830pm on a Friday night and they close at 930pm. Good to know this place has changed things around a bit. One thing I do wish is that the food temperature would've been a bit hotter for the hot foods. read more

I feel like the food was either to dry or way to soggy it lacked flavor I can only say that the best thing that came out of this place was the teppanyaki, and maybe that's because because I served myself and practically seasoned it on my own. I got food poisoning from this place and I'm not very satisfied with the food that I received. This is my first time coming and my last. I felt sick after eating and my stomach wasn't feeling good. I have never gotten sick like this over food. The food there isn't even heated at the temperatures they are supposed to be. I've worked in a buffet before and if the food reaches under a certain temp and is not eatable we Throw it out and bring out a fresh batch. The batches there are left until it's empty even if it's cold.. they won't make any fresh food until it's completely gone. I have no complaints about the staff they were polite. read more

This place is a great value. Pricing: Weekday lunches are just a little bit over $13 per person for an adult. They charge extra if you want soft drinks or coffee. Cleanliness: The people working there do a good job of keeping it clean, wiping down everything often. There were disposable gloves and hand sanitizer set out at the food stations, and all the hot foods were very hot; leading me to feel good about food safety. The servers do a great job of taking away your empty dishes. They have a Mongolian barbecue grill, which seems really popular. This is standard buffet fare: fast food -type Chinese food, fried chicken& fish, grilled/baked tilapia, salmon, meatloaf, taco bar, etc. Lunch doesn't have any steamed or grilled shrimp in the shell but I've seen it there at dinner time. They used to have sushi rolls a few years ago , but not any longer. There's a nice salad bar, and a surprisingly large, nice dessert bar with a lot of choices, including hand-scooped ice cream and frozen yogurt. Payment : they accept cash, debit, and credit card. You're obviously there for the sheer amount of food, and sometimes the variety that a buffet can provide - but you'd hope that the quality of some food items would be satisfactory. I was quite disappointed, as it took me awhile to find something that I actually wanted to eat. Most things were bland or gross to the point where I didn't want to finish most things on my plate. I didn't bother with the Mongolian Grill since the wait was kind of long, so I can't evaluate that. The staff seemed to clear the plates from the tables pretty fast, so they had that going for them, and they did try to take some precautions with cleanliness by trying to provide gloves to people at the buffet lines. I was surprised by the variety of desserts that were available (they serve thrifty ice cream). Not the highest quality food, but for $15 it is worth the money! For some reason the soft serve machine was always having issues, but it got fixed after a while every time. Mongolian BBQ has a huge line, so maybe head there first if there are less people. Did not have or encounter any issues with the service. The waiter was nice and took our plates in a timely manner. All food and plates were consistently being stocked as well. There was a line (waited like 45 min - 1 hour to get in) when I arrived for dinner on a Saturday at around 6 pm so be mindful of that when you plan to come for dinner. It's nothing to be admired but what they lack in taste they make up for in service and a wonderful family atmosphere. All workers here are very nice and will help with a smile and a great attitude. Ok, this is just a review of the reviews for this restuarant. The reason why is that PARADISE BUFFET is opening a restuarant just down the street from me here in SAN DIEGO. So far the reviews have been mediocre but I am intrigued. Some reviews really good while others just bad. Dinning would be a lots more pleasure with just regular music instead of the Spanish music that they play ALL THE TIMES, also there are some workers that also make your dinning experience in pleasure, they look at your receipt and make the head count and count the drinks, I find this very annoying. When they place me in that section with those workers, I request to be in another section or else I'll leave. Other then that. The place is clean, the food is fresh and good. It's an okay buffet. I went there on a Monday. I was expecting that they serve at least mussels but there's none. They have clams, baked tilapia and cod, no salmon although there was a sign on the counter said "salmon" but it was tilapia. Pot roast was overcooked like it's a stringy cornedbeef already. The tempura shrimp was good though and there are lots of deserts. There's no crab legs here. But for the price, it's not bad. If you want more choices of seafood do not go here. read more
