I had the unfortunate experience of visiting Paradise Biryani on July 22, 2026, between 8:10 PM and 8:40 PM, and I feel compelled to share what happened because the level of customer service I received was completely unacceptable. Earlier that evening, I had called in an order for a Family Pack Biryani (medium spice) for pickup. When I arrived, I asked to pay for my order and also add a naan. The employee (Vishnu-the one without glasses, as I understand there are two employees with the same name) told me I had to pay for the biryani first before he could add the naan. Although I found this unusual, I agreed and completed the payment. After paying, I decided I wanted to add one more naan. Instead of simply adding it to the order, he insisted that I first pay for the initial naan before he could add another. At that point, I said, "That's okay, I don't want the extra naan." Throughout the interaction, his body language was dismissive, impatient, and visibly irritated. As I was leaving, I heard him loudly slam the menu down and mumble something under his breath. I turned around and asked if there was a problem. Rather than de-escalating the situation, Vishnu became even more arrogant and defensive. To my surprise, other customers nearby joined the conversation and shared that they had experienced similar rude treatment from him just five minutes earlier. I then asked for the owner's contact information so I could report the incident. Vishnu refused, stating that he was "not allowed" to provide it. I then requested the manager's number. He initially refused that as well before finally giving it to me. I immediately called the manager, Rocky, while still at the restaurant and explained everything that had happened. I expected at the very least a follow-up call or an acknowledgment of my concerns. Unfortunately, I never received any response. The following day, my husband visited the restaurant to follow up. Instead of addressing the issue, he was told that the staff had done nothing wrong, that no one had been rude, and that both Vishnu and Rocky stood by their actions. He was even told, "You can complain anywhere you want." That response was just as disappointing as the original incident. This isn't about a misunderstanding over naan or payment procedures. It's about how customers are treated. Employees represent your business, and when multiple customers independently speak up about the same employee's behavior, that should be a serious concern not something to dismiss. The lack of accountability from both the employee and the manager is alarming. If this is considered acceptable customer service at this location, I genuinely worry about its future. Respect, professionalism, and accountability are the foundation of any successful restaurant, and based on my experience, this location is failing on all three. I hope ownership takes this complaint seriously, reviews any available security footage from July 22, 2026, between 8:10 PM and 8:40 PM, speaks with the customers who witnessed the interaction, and ensures that no other customer has to go through the same experience. Let's start off with what was good, service was prompt and courteous. Servers provided the menus and brought plates and water out quickly. The food was not good. My wife and I ordered goat dum biryani, a chicken tandoori sizzler dish, goat curry and naan. Very clearly the taste of the chicken tandoori was quite off, the masala/spices weren't very well cooked. Goat curry had goat meat that wasn't fully cooked properly and was very difficult to chew. The biryani had the correct taste, but was way too spicy, after each bite I'd have to drink a full cup of water before proceeding to the next bite. The service here was really nice, we were welcomed nicely and the ambiance wasn't that bad. Plates n cutlery along with water was served to us at our table instead of having us go n get it ourselves which is a great thing for a restaurant unlike some other restaurants. What they could work on is the food quality and taste. None of the meat was tender enough to be eaten by the cutlery provided. *The goat dum hyderabadi biryani wasn't exactly authentic hyderabadi biryani either. Just a biryani overpowered by the masalas to hide the fact that the meat isn't properly cooked. *We also ordered the Hyderabadi Goat Masala curry which was decent but it had the same problem as the biryani. The meat wasn't done very well. *For sizzlers/Kababs we ordered the Murgh Tangdi. It came out sizzling which was appealing to the eye, but all the spices were not well cooked. We could taste the rawness of the uncooked spices on top of the chicken. What my take is that they rushed into making it and could have cooked for longer on low temp. All in all, i wouldn't come back again unfortunately but if the above mentioned problems were taken care of it's an amazing place to come for lunch/dinner! read more

Their biryani is one of the reasons I kept coming back over the years, even when I used to drive to the Dublin location before Tracy opened. I honestly have been their customer for over a decade. Unfortunately, the customer service experience has now disappointed me for the third time in a row, and I finally feel the need to document it publicly. A few months ago, I placed an in store order for a veggie biryani family pack and politely requested not to include the appetizer that usually comes with it (like Manchurian or Paneer 65). When asked why I don't want it I simply explained that, in my personal opinion, those appetizers tend to become very oily and soggy by the time we take them home, so I don't enjoy them. Instead of respectfully acknowledging feedback, the employee at the counter became rude and argumentative. I later escalated the issue by contacting the Dublin/Pleasanton management because I truly did not want to leave a negative public review.Vijay reached out to me personally, apologized sincerely, and assured me the matter would be addressed. I appreciated that gesture and decided to continue supporting the business because one employee should not define an entire restaurant. However, today the exact same employee, Rocky, answered the phone with the same rude attitude and behavior pattern -- interrupting repeatedly while I was trying to place my order, not listening properly, and speaking as though he was doing me a favor by taking the order. I again explained that I did not want the appetizer with the family pack and instead preferred extra salan and yogurt, which the restaurant has usually accommodated in the past. He immediately kept cutting me off saying, "You have to pay," even after I clearly said multiple times that I had no problem paying. I was simply asking whether I could upgrade to a larger portion size instead of the smaller one. But he was not interested in listening at all. The conversation felt disrespectful, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile. Good food alone cannot make up for repeated poor treatment of customers. I normally avoid posting negative reviews, especially within our Indian community, because I believe in supporting businesses respectfully. If I don't like something, I usually stay quiet unless the experience becomes repetitive and unacceptable. But this has now happened multiple times, and I genuinely hope the management takes this feedback seriously. Manners, professionalism, and basic courtesy matter greatly in customer service. Customers should feel heard and respected when simply placing an order. Also, if certain employees consistently display a rude attitude, disrespect customers, or lack basic communication skills, they should not be placed at the front counter or handling customer interactions. I've been a consistent customer at Paradise Biryani Pointe for the last 6 months or so because their food is genuinely very good. The biryani and curries are flavorful, fresh, and some of the best in the area. Unfortunately, the customer service experience recently left a really bad impression on me. My husband and I accidentally placed two separate orders while both getting off work and trying to quickly arrange dinner. One of the orders had not even been paid for yet, and I called right away to clarify the mistake. Instead of handling the situation with understanding, the staff member was rude and essentially scolded me for not "having a discussion" with my husband before ordering. What made the experience even more frustrating was that the owner seemed more focused on having the last word than actually listening or resolving the issue. While I was trying to explain the situation, I was constantly talked over and interrupted. There was very little empathy or understanding shown throughout the conversation. The owner also kept emphasizing that the food would go to waste, but realistically it's not as though the food would simply be thrown away -- it could easily be given to employees or handled appropriately. I was being honest and upfront about the mistake instead of simply picking up the paid order and saying nothing. Mistakes happen -- we're all human. Loyal customers should be treated with a little more kindness, patience, and professionalism. When she came in she admitted it was a mistake I ordered to eat in but mistakenly checked pick up, the guy at the counter refused to let her sit to eat. I found that odd when it was not busy and once she just made a mistake and she was nice about it too but the restaurant made a fuss that I think was unnecessary. It should not be that big a deal. Stopped here Thanksgiving Day on my way to the Bay area. I ordered the Chicken Briyani, and it did not disappoint. It's quite a spicy dish, but if you ask nicely they will make it less spicy. It was served in a large bowl, with the chicken buried underneath rice that was topped with something colorful, and slightly fragrant. In addition I was giving two small containers of a spicy sauce, and slightly sweet white sauce that complements the dish, and creates flavors that make your taste buds sing. read more

We're big fans of Paradise Biryani Point in Santa Clara and wanted to try the new branch in Tracy today. Despite the dine-in area not being full, they told us to wait for 45 minutes. We waited for 30 minutes, but no one took our name or anything. The person named Abhi was extremely rude. I understand it's a new branch and they need time to settle, but he should have spoken politely or in a lower voice. We're not there to eat for free..we're paying customers.
