The atmosphere was super chill and welcoming. I loved that they had treats for dogs. Being able to actually experience the fabrics in person makes sense for this price range. Returns process is quick and easy with your order ID. Did not like quality of material. I bought a waffle knit lounge set that had a small hole and some loose threads. Also, I felt the material of the brushed cotton bedding is too thin; did not have high hopes it would last. I think 2 month return is not that great for the price you pay. For the high price Parachute charges I expect a one-year return guarantee, therefore I am choosing to shop with another competitor who has this guarantee. read more

After mindlessly scrolling past Parachute Home ads on Instagram and Facebook then later hearing about them opening up a store near my work place, I knew I had to stop by! I always wondered what the hype was about. I also recently moved to a new apartment and decided it was time to upgrade from a queen bed to a big bad king! And with that: new bed... new sheets/blankets/pillows... who dis? When I got there, I was greeted by a sweet young lady with a beanie on. I told her my sleeping preferences (I get hot easily but like to snuggle under a blanket at night, especially in the winter or if the AC is on full blast) and she quickly recommended trying out the quilts. Upon first touch, I was sold. The quilts are nicely manufactured, great quality, thin, warm but cool, and has a beautiful modern finish to them. They have multiple colors from dark to light, but I went with the fog - a pretty versatile color. After three months of using it, I still love it! Side note: I also got the limited edition flannel quilt. This one is a tad bit thicker and has a flannel material finish that is perfect for LA "winter"! I love that it just cuddles me so hard when I sleep. Keeps me in bed longer, that's for sure! The shower curtain I got is also amazing. Yes, they're a little on the pricy side, but they're easy on the eye and stylish. It's made out of great material from Turkey (or Portugal?), and give your bathroom a nice touch of modern and hipster. I also got suckered into buying a little waffle hand towel. And for $29, best believe I only use that for special occasions or parties. LOL. I have yet to get some sheets from Parachute, but I hear great things about them. Gonna hold off until my $20 Target sheets wear out before I get some new ones. Service here is excellent. Really personable and help with decision making. I took a picture of my new bed frame and one of the workers gave me multiple options to consider. The only downside of this store is that they don't really have a huge inventory as most of their business is online. If you're traveling from far away to pick something up here, call and make sure they have it in stock at the store first. Overall, great store with great products. Drop by for a look! Quick Tips: 1. The positive reviews make me wonder if these are fake.... I researched reviews and decided to purchased the striped washed linen sheets (very expensive mind you) and the Cal King duvet cover. The duvet seems okay (nothing too great for the cost) and wrinkles VERY easily but....the sheets are totally crappy! Let me start by saying the flat sheets and fitted sheet are 150 bucks each!! They arrived and I washed them exactly according to instructions--which is cold water and gentle dry cycle. Which seems a bit odd in and of itself, as I have always washed sheets in hot water in the past. Well, let me tell you after one very gentle cold water wash the sheets had MULTIPLE holes in them! The material is very poor. The sheets are also scratchy and thin and you can see where they will just pull and tear with every move and cold water wash. If you are paying 408 bucks for 2 pillowcases and ONE fitted and ONE flat sheet this stuff better be quality. I believe Parachute Home has many improvements to be made and they have lots of good instagram advertising and phony reviews. Do not be fooled. This stuff is low budget quality and overpriced. I will stick to the Pottery Barn--great quality, better cost point and you can wash in hot water and no tearing after many years. This is a beautiful store with very knowledgable staff. I have looked at linen sheets for a long time and finally decided to treat myself. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I live in the neighborhood and was thrilled when I saw they were opening. After they opened, the word was that they were stupidly over-priced so I didn't rush over. I finally did go in and yeah pricey but...but...the cotton was so soft! The blankets so perfect! The towels! It was love at first purchase...and second purchase...and then presents for two weddings...and a birthday gift for my mom. But love is blind. Yes, there were red flags along the way but I remained committed, thinking things would surely improve as our relationship matured. However, I have to declare here and now -- Parachute Home we are DONE. Over. Breaking up. I'll spare you the long drawn out version but it's been a series of missteps which I attributed to being a newish company. Growing pains. I was dedicated to supporting a local business. Buy local instead of Amazon or any of a thousand places online! But the missteps have added up and I'm moving on. Recently, I was in the Parachute store in Venice and I briefly caught an exchange about gifts and boxes and charging for boxes. I wasn't paying much attention and basically wrote the shopper off as a cranky customer but there was something about the sales person's tone that bugged me. But again, I was on the edge of the conversation and wasn't tracking the entire exchange. Back to me and my break up. I was on my way to a very close friends bday lunch. I was late and hadn't remembered to get a gift. Quick stop at Parachute. (Yes, they have parking behind the building) I rush in, decide on a gift and ask if they have a gift box large enough for the blanket that I'm buying because I don't have time to stop anywhere else. The sales woman says they do but there will be a $10 box charge or they will happily give it to me in their bag free of charge. I flash on the Venice episode. $10? Really? I ask if she can just give me one of their shipping boxes which are pretty damn nice. This requires a discussion with the manager in the back. A discussion about a box for a blanket. She returns with one of their flattened shipping boxes and says, 'I can give you this but you'll have to fold it yourself.' If you've ever been to Parachute, you know that it's similar to going to a library that smells really good. Not exactly the busiest place in town. Ok. Fine. I'll fold the box myself. I thought we were in love. You don't value me as a customer. You don't value my time or my money or that I stupidly left my gift buying to the last minute and was in a bind. Fine. Simultaneously bored and impatient, she rings me up. Because I was running late I forgot my wallet. No problem. I have cash. They don't take cash. Got it. Lots of places don't take cash. But in combination, I'm done. No need to spend money here. Thank you very much. Her response, 'we don't make the rules, sir.' No of course you don't but a little common sense goes a long way in the luxury goods market. As does tone. Perhaps offer to hold the blanket until I can call with a cc number. Perhaps offer a print out to take the bday lunch of the blanket that's on its way. There are many alternate endings this story could've had. As for me, I went a block down the street, bought a terrific gift and still supported a local business! As for @parachute...enough said. read more

The staff was very friendly on the phone and each time I called they answered right away. They didn't make me feel as though I was being a pain in the rear end LOL! Parachute is one of the many businesses leading to the Brentwoodization of Silver Lake. Being one of the proletariat hold-outs in the neighborhood, I naturally resented it. I would walk by often and see a lot of faux-hippie ladies in gauzy, white dresses with wide, black-brimmed hats skipping in and out of the store with large bags of $300 sheets. That said, even if I made poor decisions to work at nonprofits and not date rich dudes, after Marie-Kondoing my decade-old towels, it dawned on me that I too deserve the same linens as the 1%. Upon entering Parachute, I witnessed one of the most entitled, narcissistic temper-tantrums I've ever seen an adult throw. The staff here deserve 5-stars for maintaining their cool as a woman well into middle age stormed in and threw a bag of sheets at the staff before berating them. I didn't know linens could make people so angry, but that was before I spent $40 on a towel that was no nicer than anything one could get at Target. In the store, when I touched the towel, it was soft and supple, I imagined myself enrobed in it's warm, fuzzy glory and thought 'screw it, I deserve this softness in my life'. Then I actually bought and used the towel (while paying close attention to the care directions) and the towel now has a run and basically sucked after 1 wash. Maybe this is a gimmick to trick rich people into buying crappy towels but for the working man, sweating away, actually being productive - the type of person who wants to come home to a soft AF towel after a damn, hard day - look elsewhere, the towels are 'meh'. read more

Service used to be great. You can't reach a live person during business hours. They recommend to use the Chat feature on their website but no response when I initiated the chat at 4:06 pm on a Friday afternoon even though their office hours are until 5 pm. I receive an email on the following Monday and I responded promptly. Three days later I emailed to follow up on my order and someone responded saying "Sorry I just came across your email." Seriously, at the price they are charging they should make the buying experience a pleasant one. I hope the owners of the company will read this. Your customer service is not up to PAR with other companies. It needs improvement asap! read more
