I try to come every few months for a relaxing facial. My experience today was not as pleasant as my other two visits. I've been trying out different estheticians to see which one I like best for my facial. I booked at a certain time to try one a specific esthetician only for a different person to be there on the day of my appointment, saying the original esthetician is doing massages all day. I guess my visit must have been one of the earlier ones bc there was no one water available; it's usually in the lounge area. As it was early in the day, I was surprised that there were no slippers my size (7), the tissue box was empty at the counter in the changing area, and there was nearly no toilet paper left. I hope these are all anomalies because my prior two experiences were more pleasant. Overall I'd give this place a 4/5 but if today had been my only experience there, it would have been a 3/5. I'm hoping my next visit will be more pleasant.

The private room was very calming and relaxing while having my facial and I felt very relaxed when I left. Negatives: the facial itself didn't yield any results for me. I had a hydrafacial, with my main areas of concern being hydration and to help with the signs of aging. Unfortunately neither occurred. My face was smoother and brighter for maybe 2 days afterwards but it was also very tight and dry. The fine lines around my eyes and mouth were more pronounced and noticeable than they were before. I did see a temporary reduction in blackheads around my nose, but less than a week later, my skin was back to being dry, dull and flaky like it was before. UPDATE: Two weeks later and my skin is breaking out like crazy and peeling in some places. I have texture where I didn't have it before. It looks worse than before I went. I'm disappointed that I didn't see any positive results and angry because of the breakouts and other adverse side effects. I will NOT go back again.

I have given this place numerous chances but each time I've been extremely disappointed. I've seen…read moremany people (myself and mother included) be seated, told we would have our nails done very shortly, have them wrapped in aluminum, only to have someone else worked on who came in next. Furthermore, each time I go here my nails chip for some reason within only a couple days... a lot. Keep in mind, I don't bite my nails at all not work a ton with my hands. And every time I get a basic gel manicure with two holographic nails they'll quote me a different price (paid with cash each time), it's as if none of the employees know what the services cost and would make up something different each time. One time my nails chipped so bad I went back to have them fix it. The end result? The gray didn't match the one they used originally, and the "holographic" looked completely different! They gave me the ugliest, mismatching nails and then sent me on my way, not seeing anything wrong with it. Very unprofessional and terrible customer service. They just want to get as many people in and out as fast as they can, sacrificing quality in the process. Found a new nail place that I like far better and I never have any of these problems anymore.

While I was filling out the initial visit form, she introduced herself and offered me a cup of water. She took me to the room and we talked about what areas I would like her to focus on and then she stepped out so I could get undressed. The next hour was completely wonderful and relaxing. Roseanne concentrated on my upper back and lightly touched upon other areas, just as I requested. After the hour was over, Roseanne left the room and I got dressed and met her back in the main waiting room where she gave me another cup of water. However, within four hours of leaving the salon, I noticed bubbles forming in the top coat, along with the chipping of the milky white ombre on several nails on both hands. I contacted the salon to report that my nails were chipping so soon after the appointment. The owner kindly invited me to return to the salon, where all the nails were repainted, and I left satisfied with their appearance. The following day, my middle finger nail fractured and required superglue. The day after, my thumb nail also snapped off. I contacted the salon again, and the owner advised me to come in for a complimentary reapplication. I traveled to Edgewood for the third time, which is approximately a 20-minute drive from my residence in Bel Air North, depending on traffic. Upon arrival, I was informed that because I had received a fill rather than a full set, I would be responsible for the two broken nails. This was concerning, given that I had paid $80 just three days prior. I explained that the nails had fractured due to the extension applied by the technician to increase their length. Unfortunately, the issue was not resolved, and I subsequently wasted hours, gas, and money without resolution. I have decided not to return to this salon in the future.
