A small Israeli restaurant, they sell humus bowls, wraps, and falafel. Stopping in for lunch on a Sunday around 13.00, there was a little wait. The shakshuka hummus bowl was okay, but my wife loved her falafel wrap!

The food in this casual restaurant was healthy and tasty, however nothing was exceptional. I preferred the vegan shakshuka to the hummus plate with falafel. Service was good. Budget friendly prices.

Paprika brings the authentic flavors of Israel directly to Prague! The highlight here was the hummus, which was creamy and rich with tahini. I got the Falafel set, which also came with seven crispy falafels, tomato/cucumber salad, cabbage salad, and pita bread. I also tried the Chicken Shawarma, made of boneless chunks of dark meat chicken, which were heavily spiced, juicy, and super flavorful. At every table came bottles of tahini, amba (fermented mango sauce), and zhoug (spicy herb sauce), which enhanced the flavors of every bite. Overall, the food here was seriously delicious and came at a great value too!

The food here was great. I loved the hummus and the chicken. The staff were also very nice.

I was recommended this spot by a friend on Instagram and I was not disappointed. Had delicious falafels, hummus and pita from here. Their falafel was fresh and fluffy. Compared to NYC, their's are more light while NYC has more dense ones. The hummus was great and the pita was soft. The herbs were fresh and even though it's flavorful already, they have great sauces that you can add to add more flavor. They have tahini, amba which is made with mango and a spicy green sauce. They were all good, but I loved the herbs in the spicy green sauce. My friend got the chicken and it was flavorful and tender. They also give you a good amount of food. The girl was also very nice. We had a larger table at first but she asked if we could move to a smaller one for a family which we had no problem with, but she insisted that she would give us a free side. They were pickled carrots which was really good. The only mediocre thing was the salad we got which was not our favorite only because we didn't realize it was mainly just herbs. Aside from that, there isn't anything bad I can say about this place.

Great food for such a great value! Very affordable. Chicken was great. Hummus was great. Pita bread could be better. Falafel's were also great!

Great food. Came very highly recommended on food lists to try when in Prague. We were not disappointed. Small place and I have had the best food in such joints. Friendly staff. Seating was a little stressful- very limited. I wish they had chairs and tables on the sidewalk if people are unable to find seating indoors. But looks like they take reservations so would be a good idea to do that, considering they can seat no more than 12 people at any given time, AND there is no place outside to sit either. First time we went they were out of meat which was a bummer, so we had to go the next day. So if you need meat in your meal, you might want to confirm they are not out (though obviously have no idea if this is a recurrence or was a one time thing). Anyway: we all got chicken shawarmas; my husband got the Jerusalem one w/fries and my 2 kids and I ordered the 'asli'. They were all flavorful and we really liked them. I wish they gave the option of tzatiki sauce option instead of the tahini they had in it, but even then it was really good. My daughter ordered the shukshaki- she and my husband really liked it. Overall I am glad we went!

Food & service was amazing! A necessary meal to get more vegetables than usual around Prague. The pita is also so fluffy and fresh!

Delicious food and lovely service! Restaurant is small so will be tough to get a table but food is worth it.

After a less than stellar with a meat-alternative traditional Czech dish at another Prague…read morerestaurant, I didn't have high expectations for Maitrea. I decided I would try it anyway because it was in the area and had such good reviews, and I'm so glad I did! The transitional dish I opted for this time was the svíčková, some kind of soy meat cutlet topped with cranberry sauce, whipped cream, and some kind of creamy sauce covering the whole thing. Bread dumplings came with it, which were perfect for soaking up that creamy sauce. I'm not really sure how to describe what it tasted like as it was unlike anything I've ever eaten, but it was all flavorful, rich, and delicious! The whipped cream seemed especially random to me, but it was unsweetened so it wasn't actually too out of place. The meat alternative that was used was not too spongy, which often is the case with soy-based products. The ambiance is very cozy - I sat downstairs but it didn't feel like I was in a basement at all. No complaints about service either, and I appreciated that you could pay via the QR code at your table so I didn't have to worry about flagging a waitress down for the check. All in all a great experience and if I'm ever in Prague again, I will be back!

The ambiance has a very bohemian and soothing touch, you can see fountains and buddha statues all along. Maitrea is a complete vegetarian restaurant, serving local Czech delicacies. I tried the vegan Ghaloush and it was so so good. Typical Czech dishes are meat heavy so I am glad I got an opportunity to try something local and appreciate it. The dish had stewed veggies, a lot of spices and flavour and was served with horseradish dumplings and bread. Most of the tables around me had ordered Aperol Spritz, and I ordered the same, it was so good! Are you even on vacation if you don't drink Aperol/ Mai Tai?! Maitrea serves local delicacies as well as other vegetarian cuisines to fit everyone's palate. My vegetarian/ vegan friends, definitely give this place a try!
