Naiya was our server and she was so sweet. We ordered drinks and our meal. A glass of wine for me, swamp thing for my husband. My husband got the jumbo bowl of gumbo and it was enough for 3-4 people. We knew there would be leftovers. I ordered the crawfish combo with sautéed crawfish instead of etouffee and it was good and would be my dinner. I had gumbo and fried alligator for my lunch. It's always a good experience at Pappadeaux's! We have frequent diners at Pappadeaux, and it never disappoints from beginning to end. From the moment we walk in, the customer service at the door is welcoming and professional. We usually sit at the bar, and the bartenders are always attentive, knowledgeable, and confident in what they're serving. They really know their drinks and make the experience even better. Food-wise, it's consistently excellent. I almost always order the Garden of Eden, and the grilled oysters are a must every time--so flavorful and perfectly prepared. My husband usually goes for the fried fish and fried shrimp, and he always enjoys his meal. The gumbo is also really great and full of flavor. Overall, Pappadeaux is one of our go-to spots for a reliable, enjoyable dinner with great service, drinks, and food. We'll definitely keep coming back. read more

DELICIOUS! Service was INCREDIBLE by Colin. My first time here, he made sure to explain the specials, answer my questions, recommend dishes and his attention to detail was AMAZING! Colin cleaned the bread crumbs off the table when he collected our appetizer dishes and brought the main dish. So it was a celebration for my sisters birthday and she invited 20 of her very important people, our reservation was for 6 but it was almost 7 before we were seated due to another large party sitting a while after dining. They sat us at 2 circular tables, so we were out of the way of traffic. First they took drink orders while we feast on hot fresh bread and table appetizers. It was extremely busy with so many people but Tyson ( our server)was very busy but handled his business with a few hiccups, but he got the job done. This is one of those situations where it's not just about the food or wait time - it's about how you're treated when something goes wrong. At Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, I asked a simple question about a delay in our order. Instead of a professional response, the waiter became dismissive, then confrontational, and ultimately aggressive. The interaction escalated in a way that felt personal and completely unnecessary. It created a hostile environment and triggered an acute mental health episode. That's not something anyone expects - or should experience - at a restaurant. Yes, the manager comped the meal. But that doesn't undo the behavior. The bigger issue is what happened next: (1) Guest Relations told me one resolution over the phone, (2) Then issued something completely different without explanation, (3) Follow-up attempts were met with dismissiveness, and (4) The case was closed without addressing the core issue. Before posting this, I gave the company every opportunity to resolve it - including reaching out to corporate leadership. No meaningful resolution was provided. Out of curiosity, I checked their Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile afterward, and what I found raised additional concerns about how complaints are handled. At that point, it all started to make sense. I'm sharing this so others can make informed decision. Take from it what you will. read more

Been going here almost all my life, and they don't ever disappoint me. Just stick to my usual shrimp étouffée, and fried catfish. I love that they always are accommodating and let me order the lunch version of that meal as it is not offered on the dinner menu. For my drink I like to get the three wheel motion as it is one of their most potent drinks you can never finish more than two. For our appetizer, we had the shrimp and crawfish fondueaux dip which has mushrooms in it I do wish they offered more pieces of bread because four pieces is not enough to finish this appetizer. You can purchase additional pieces for like three dollars I believe, which isn't too bad but they should definitely offer more initially. We also tried the fried alligator that comes with a sauce. You can have them put it on the side and it's great for dipping. This was my first time trying this appetizer and I loved it. read more

My husband and I went here for our first date night of 2025 and left feeling disappointed. Neither of us have been to a Pappadeaux since before covid so we were looking forward to giving it a try. The two hostesses were so nice and chatted with us while walking us to our table. That's where any friendliness of the staff stopped. Our waiter could not have been more disinterested in us if she tried. Monotoned the entire time and no smile at all, even when introducing herself. She immediately started up-selling us trying to get us to order cocktails instead of the water and tea we ordered. She asked if we wanted an order of garlic bread and when I questioned if that was the complimentary bread option, she didn't want to answer. I had to specify say we wanted the standard bread that comes to every table. As far as the food goes, I can tell a huge difference in the quality and quantity of the food pre and post Covid. I'm so glad I ordered the 3 piece stuffed crab because they were minuscule!! The best part was the baked potato, which was a $6 up charge, but totally worth it. That was the only part of the meal that was even close to worth the price. It was gigantic and stuffed with toppings. I was able to eat some and still have left overs. The final nail in the coffin of our poor experience was when our incredibly unfriendly waitress started clearing off all of our table and the other tables around us including the salt and pepper shakers and sugar caddy. She was completely clearing her entire section while we were still eating at 7:15 pm (WAY before closing)!!! I don't care if she was going to be leaving as soon as our table was cleared, it's rude to clear off tables while customers are still eating. You can't go wrong here to satisfy your seafood fix with fresh fish, seafood either blackened, grilled, or Texas fried to clog those arteries but leaving a party in your mouth. It has been a few years since I last went to a Pappadeaux and it really surprised me in a good way. I was really glad that our waiter recommended this crispy skin redfish & jumbo crab. It was so delicious and I couldn't resist but to clean the whole plate, including the sauce. The sauce was a chili pepper sauce, not very spicy but it was full of flavors - tasted like smoked chili and puréed roasted pepper with butter and a hint of vinegar (totally my own guess, I don't know what exactly is in the recipe). The fish had a layer of crispy skin to add the crunchy texture while the fish meat itself was very tender and juicy. Loved it! Now I want to go back to try other menu items. Out of curiosity I looked up the menu from some other locations, and I either didn't find this menu item or it had this item but not cooked the same way (no chile harissa sauce). So glad that I went to this 290 location and stumbled upon this dish. read more

I don't even know where to start..... WORDS CAN NOT DESCRIBE MY TIME AT PAPPADEAUX!!! As we walked in, we were greeted again by the amazing renee who was in a great mood. After talking to her it set the mood for the whole night and I knew tonight was going to be fantastic. We were seated right behind the hostess's table and I will most definitely be sitting there next time. Once we sat down our mozzarella bites were already at our table. They were at perfect temperature with cheddar strips dabbled on top. Every bite was like tasting heaven. We also got a Shirley Temple and a strawberry lemonade which were truly magnificent Now let me move on to my fantastic waiter Cj. Let me say that man was incredible at his job, he knew when to refill our drinks and he requested to add special seasoning which made our chicken tenderloins truly magical!!! It was my friends birthday and the waiters insisted on singing to her and they also brought out a brownie and ice cream which was on the house (thank you for making her birthday amazing) they had surprisingly very talented voices which made the birthday festivities even better. We got to know some of the staff like KING cj which I have talked about before, but let me yap about queen Leslie and her positive attitude towards her job. The Calamari and fondue in the appetizer menu is our go to every time we go! I have tried a lot of the menu items and it's always great!

Definitely the worst Pappadeaux I've ever experienced. Really nothing good about the experience other than the crème brûlée. Once I was seated by the completely blah hostess I was greeted by a young lady who told me she would be my server. After bringing me a water I was approached by a young man who told me he was my server. The original server glanced over and gave me the thumbs up indicating that she knew what was up. This young man was a new server apparently and after he recommended some menu items I watched as he shattered two glasses on the floor at the same table in two separate instances within 5 minutes of each other! I kid you not! Got the shrimp and craw fish fondeaux which was tasty. Then the filet that was supposed to have crab on it. No crab. No broccolini! But it was cooked perfect mid-rare. Had to hail the original server to have her help me out on the missing condiments. She was hella apologetic on behalf of the young man, but then proceeded to not refill my water. The busser took away my lemons but didn't wipe the crumbs off the table. When I got the crab about five minutes later the steak was getting cold - which better matched the temperature of the crab in the lukewarm sauce! Broccolini was over cooked. After using the universal sign for "I'm done eating," the young lady came over and in what sounded like a surprised voice asked if I was done. There wasn't anything at all on my plate but the silverware. A few minutes later the young man set the bill down in front of me telling me he could take care of it when I was ready. After he disappeared I flagged down the young lady to ask if the young man had already made enough money that he didn't need to try to sell me dessert! She grabbed the check and brought the young man back to the table where he recommended the brownie. I got the crème brûlée and two more apologies from the young woman. Nothing from the young man. A third young person ended up bringing me the amended check - not sure who she was. I found no service recovery attempts on the check. I get that the kid was new and that we all have to start somewhere but there also needs to be some quality control, especially for a brand that has a great reputation. read more

Not so good: - The price - Pappadeaux's prices begin to encroach into the fine dining region. I believe that restaurants in this tier only stand out when they offer truly exceptional food or a truly memorable dining experience. Pappadeaux' food is great, but not exceptional; and their dining experience is nice, but again not exceptional. Compared to restaurants where the per-person budget is $20-30, they're a 4 to 5 star restaurant; but in this tier, the expectations are higher. - Selection - cajun food is great, but I would hope for a slightly wider selection of American non-cajun foods. Scores: Food 4/5 Service 4.5/5 Value 2/5 Overall 3/5 Consistency 5/5, but take it with a grain of salt due to my infrequent visits. Visits: 3 times in last 2 years (no doubt because of the prices). Hadn't been to this location is a very long time. It's been here for a while. Happy to report it was a great experience. We came for a retirement party for one of our office mates. We were greeted immediately and taken to our table. Our server was Ashlynn & she was just the absolute best. It was a Friday at 6:00pm so you already know it was busy. She had quite a few full tables, but we never felt overlooked, had to wait long and our glasses stayed full. Also we had no issues with our bill and yes there were some seperates. She handled it with ease. Shout out to Ashlynn because she's a phenomenal waitress! I ordered the trout & shirmp dish which came with sauteed spinach. The portion was huge. I took most of it home & ate it for lunch the next day. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Wasn't salty and dry. Spinach cooked with plenty garlic and just enough butter. It wasn't oily or bland. And let's be real. Prices have gone up on everything, so expect it to flow into restraunts. IMO the meal was appropriately priced. I must say this location has redeemed Pappadeaux's in my book. Pretty much had given up on them due to feeling they were overpriced for food that was unpleasant and poor service.
