Mixed oyster platter (east coast and gulf waters). Their dipping sauces made this dish absolutely perfect!

DELICIOUS! Service was INCREDIBLE by Colin. My first time here, he made sure to explain the specials, answer my questions, recommend dishes and his attention to detail was AMAZING! Colin cleaned the bread crumbs off the table when he collected our appetizer dishes and brought the main dish. We had a mixed oyster platter (only photo I took), their finger-licking freshly baked bread with whipped butter. Our main dishes were the catfish étouffée and rainbow trout - WOW! The restaurant decoration feels like you are aboard a ship! The staff were friendly and attentive.

So it was a celebration for my sisters birthday and she invited 20 of her very important people, our reservation was for 6 but it was almost 7 before we were seated due to another large party sitting a while after dining. They sat us at 2 circular tables, so we were out of the way of traffic. First they took drink orders while we feast on hot fresh bread and table appetizers. It was extremely busy with so many people but Tyson ( our server)was very busy but handled his business with a few hiccups, but he got the job done. Parking was horrible but to be expected because of two busy restaurants next to each others. Enjoy our food selections.

If you're looking for an amazing meal, this place is it. The Salmon Alexander may be one of my all time favorite dishes, hands down. The service has always been attentive and the ambiance is very nice. Me and my wife love to dine here.

Been going here almost all my life, and they don't ever disappoint me. Just stick to my usual shrimp étouffée, and fried catfish. I love that they always are accommodating and let me order the lunch version of that meal as it is not offered on the dinner menu. For my drink I like to get the three wheel motion as it is one of their most potent drinks you can never finish more than two. For our appetizer, we had the shrimp and crawfish fondueaux dip which has mushrooms in it I do wish they offered more pieces of bread because four pieces is not enough to finish this appetizer. You can purchase additional pieces for like three dollars I believe, which isn't too bad but they should definitely offer more initially. We also tried the fried alligator that comes with a sauce. You can have them put it on the side and it's great for dipping. This was my first time trying this appetizer and I loved it.

Great experience at Pappas Seafood! The food was amazing and the service was just as great. Our waiter Taj was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I'll definitely be back!

Favorite restaurant. The crab cake is the best thing on the menu. The crab fingers are seasonal but always make sure you ask about them

My husband and I went here for our first date night of 2025 and left feeling disappointed. Neither of us have been to a Pappadeaux since before covid so we were looking forward to giving it a try. The two hostesses were so nice and chatted with us while walking us to our table. That's where any friendliness of the staff stopped. Our waiter could not have been more disinterested in us if she tried. Monotoned the entire time and no smile at all, even when introducing herself. She immediately started up-selling us trying to get us to order cocktails instead of the water and tea we ordered. She asked if we wanted an order of garlic bread and when I questioned if that was the complimentary bread option, she didn't want to answer. I had to specify say we wanted the standard bread that comes to every table. As far as the food goes, I can tell a huge difference in the quality and quantity of the food pre and post Covid. I'm so glad I ordered the 3 piece stuffed crab because they were minuscule!! The best part was the baked potato, which was a $6 up charge, but totally worth it. That was the only part of the meal that was even close to worth the price. It was gigantic and stuffed with toppings. I was able to eat some and still have left overs. The final nail in the coffin of our poor experience was when our incredibly unfriendly waitress started clearing off all of our table and the other tables around us including the salt and pepper shakers and sugar caddy. She was completely clearing her entire section while we were still eating at 7:15 pm (WAY before closing)!!! I don't care if she was going to be leaving as soon as our table was cleared, it's rude to clear off tables while customers are still eating. I'd be happy to give Pappadeaux another chance, but not this location ever again.

Ah this place loves the food they make. You can't go wrong here to satisfy your seafood fix with fresh fish, seafood either blackened, grilled, or Texas fried to clog those arteries but leaving a party in your mouth. Everything was cooked perfectly. Blackened catfish was incredible and red beans/rice the bomb. Worth the cost here. Pappasitos uh not worth price but they know what they are doing here.

The servers are attentive and friendly, and they make sure that your water glass is filled. The garlic butter chicken wings are simply spectacular! The chicken wings are ginormous, the batter is light and crispy and the garlic butter sauce pairs so well with chicken. The salt and pepper squid was piping hot and the batter was also light and airy, and the calamari was cooked perfectly. The beef was pricey but absolutely worth it! The waiter asked how we wanted the cook on the beef, and the beef was a perfect medium rare. The meat was so tender and flavorful with an excellent char and the sauce was so flavorful. I really appreciate the abundance of vegetables that come with each dish and the portion sizes are quite generous. My diagnosis: come here for perfectly executed Vietnamese staples!

The food can be a bit pricey ($35 for bo luc lac, for example) but flavors are great overall and the service is also really good! It's not super high end in terms of decor but certainly well above average and pretty nice compared to the standard Vietnamese restaurant. (For example, yes to white table cloths, but they are layers of plastic.) My quick rapid fire recommendations: 1. Chicken wings - they are absolutely ginormous, amazing flavor, and totally worth the price though they seem expensive on the surface. 2. Fried calamari salt and pepper - delicious! I can't quite describe it ... a hint of funnel cake batter flavor? There's something quite special about this one and it's quite tasty. 3. Shaking beef (bo luc lac) - amazing! Ask for the beef to be medium rare as opposed to medium. Dip those beef chunks into the lime dipping sauce and oh my... you're in heaven. The service is also top notch and not your standard Asian restaurant level. Located off West Little York, close to 290 - it's a hidden gem in Northwest Houston not too far from the city. The space is bigger than you would expect so it's also great for large parties if you can reserve the space. Enjoy!

We ordered: - Fried Calamari - Fried Seafood Platter | Fried flounder, deviled crab, baby shrimp, fried oysters, jumbo shrimp The fried calamari was actually very good. The batter was light, crispy, and perfectly salted. The fried seafood platter was very lackluster. Unlike the calamari, the batter was soggy. The side of fries that came with it was soggy and flavorless as well.

Unfortunately, I noticed a big change this time around. The breading on both the fish and shrimp tasted different--much saltier and kind of overpowered the flavor. Not sure if the recipe has changed, but I personally prefer the original breading. That light, well-seasoned coating was part of what made me keep coming back over the years. Hoping this was just an off day or that the original recipe makes a comeback soon

I ordered the "mambo shrimp" since it's apparently very popular, and got 20 instead of 10 because I was feeling pretty confident. First, they came absolutely swimming in a butter-type oil with big chunks of garlic and what looks like a fair bit of spices, but it somehow barely tastes of butter, garlic, or spice. It's confusingly bland. The shells were super soft and wanted to stick to the meat, which disintegrated into a paste as I was chewing. The shrimp hadn't been purged at all and the veins were THICK. Just a textural nightmare. The ... tartar sauce (?) that came with it was a 2 oz container only half-full, but it's fine because it wasn't great either. Runny and bland, with a whisper of lemon flavor in it. It got me halfway thinking I need to take a test because I seem to have lost my sense of taste. Sure did smell nice, at least. The highlight of the meal was the corn, but you kind of have to work hard to ruin corn. I powered through 6 shrimp with the help of my own cocktail sauce, seasoning, and tabasco, but then I gave up. As I'm not one to be too wasteful, I peeled the rest, rinsed whatever aura of flavor remained, and split them between my dogs (they actually rate it 5 stars, no notes.)
