"I do not like catfish".... That's what I used to say. The waitress assured me that we would like their catfish. So we took a chance. She was right. Amazing, fantastic.... Did I mention amazing? Super service, amazing coleslaw, top to bottom the best seafood in Central Ohio.

First time here. It was a Saturday night and the place was not overly busy. Walked in and was able to seat ourselves. This is clearly a family run establishment. We were taken care of by two different people. Drinks, appetizer and meal. Everyone was friendly and the place was nicely decorated. It wasn't overly large inside but had a good vibe. They do have a patio to choose from as well. I ordered the special which was a lobster roll. It was served in a baked bun. I was thrown off as I guess I was expecting something different, but it was cold. It was served cold in a warm bun. I think the contrast of the temps was off, the flavor was good, and clearly large chunks of lobster was found inside. Fries were of the fresh cut variety, they had a good crisp to them. Overall, a positive experience. I'll be back.

You won't go wrong stopping in. Friendly service and family owned. Clean and plenty of space and cool decor. The food is fresh as you can get in Ohio for some fish options and the local fish such as Walleye can be found on the menu as well. Decent price and a menu that keeps things fresh and seasonal and at the same time keeps familiar items available too.

Had a fish buffet today. Catfish peach and chicken. Great food

Sorry people, but since reopening, your food has sucked. I've been three times, and ALL the meals…read morewe've had were awful. I don't know who is advising you on your new business model, but changing your menu was the worst thing you did. You had a good menu, you just needed to be consistent with preparing it. And the prices were a bit high for Buckeye Lake. I don't mind paying for good food, but when the quality went down, that's when we stopped coming back. You were offering specials from time to time, which were good!! And the live music was awesome. You also got rid of the best person working there. Nate the bartender. You people just don't know a good thing when you've got it. But, at our last visit, I see you saw the error of your ways. Sorry, I really hate to leave this kind of review, but you need to know. You took a nice "upper scale" restaurant and ruined it with that awful food. It's not the actual offerings, it's the quality of the food. Kinda reminds me of the food you get at a stand in an amusement park. My family owned a restaurant for many years, so this review isn't from just one unhappy customer.

Lunch time on a Friday, school wasn't out for summer yet, so other customers were older retired folks. Inside's small but very fitting for Lancaster. Offerings are printed out on regular printer paper and taped on the wall. Everything's basic here, ambience isn't an issue, if you're into that. The older gal running FOH (wife?) was very sweet; guessing perhaps her husband mans the kitchen? I got the fish sandwich with cheese and tartar sauce and a side of shoestring fries. Both came fresh hot out of the fryer. The breading is thin - cornmeal, I'm assuming - didn't overpower the protein, the fish tasted good; no oil taste, a big bonus. Standard fries, very good. I passed on the bun, didn't want to fill up on plain bread. All in all, a very good lunch for cheap - you get what you pay for in the best way possible.

I was in a party of 9, we stopped by at 7pm after a long day after calling ahead to confirm…read moreavailability, and were told to come. Upon arriving we noticed they were ready for closing other than one large table in the middle for us and a man, who we later found out was the owner, sitting by the entrance welcoming us in to eat, which was nice. Unfortunately, after that is where the dissatisfaction and eventual complete unprofessionalism starts. We sit down and start looking at the menu and we ask the server how many each dish feeds as they take cash only and we only had about $130 in cash on us, so he offered us a deal that we can pick two pastas and they will make two BIG plates that in his own words "will keep us full" and that we'd be satisfied. We were skeptical so we asked in the event we aren't satisfied as we are extremely hungry, will we be able to get more food free of charge? And the server replied we wouldn't need it but in case we do, we would be accommodated. Once the food came out we immediately had doubts about the portion sizes as the plates were not very big at all (12 inch dishes max!) and the pasta was not piled on too much at all. Within 15 minutes all the food was eaten clean and we were all talking and decided we were still very hungry, hungry enough that we felt it warranted we ask for more food, after all we were guaranteed wed be satisfied which definitely wasn't the case yet. So we asked for more food and suddenly "the kitchen is closed" and "the cook already turned off the water" so naturally we are a little shocked and ask about our deal, which is when the waiter just completely lies and tells us he never said that, only that it was a "possibility". At this point we feel scammed on two fronts, one is that we paid an exorbitant amount for 2 plates of very average pasta and not a great amount of it, i probably ate a total of 10 gnocchis and a single serving spoon of shellfish pasta, which had very little shellfish in it too. The server then tells us he can ask the owner if its possible which is when things happened that made me want to put this whole story in this review. The owner came out and told us he gave us a lot of food and that he can't make anymore food for us, and we brought up the same points to him saying we felt "scammed". As soon as he heard that word his tone got aggressive and he raised his voice saying not to call him a scammer and telling us all sorts of things about how we are being bad guests, we kept trying to reason with him, asking that does he understand why we feel cheated, but rather than discuss anything he chose to tell us to stop talking and yelled over us. Then, very aggressively walked over to one of my friends, who he very rudely interrupted and told her not to talk when shed try to bring something up in our argument, and he got so close and aggressive that I felt the need to tell this man who runs a restaurant that he needs to stop yelling and instead have an adult conversation as this is getting very unprofessional, which he then calmed down a little but wouldn't budge at all. We made it very clear that even if they can't make us more food, things would be made right if they could give us compensation/a lower total bill because 1, we did not at all receive the promised extra food if we requested it within good reason and instead got disingenuous excuses, and 2, their original claim also wasn't true for a single one of us as none of us were full or satisfied with the amount of food, not to mention that each plate being priced at $75 was an extremely overpriced meal, especially considering the food was ok in taste at best and very simple, and these were hungry mouths talking so it should've been very easy to impress us there but they still failed. The bottom line is the owner did not budge and told us to get out and was very rude and unprofessional and downright threatening and this didn't even come with good food. And to top it all off, he is now giving racist replies to my friend's reviews as well. There is absolutely no reason to give this place your business.
