Located in the rear of Belching Beaver. Owner & Chef was super friendly as I asked a bunch of questions. There's seating in the rear or you can come inside the brewery. Owner was kind enough to bring me my food. He recommended the burrito that's not listed on the menu. I'm a sucker for adobada & couldn't resist. He did inform me the meats were greasy and that was no lie. I've never had adobada like this, bigger chunks of pork. The Chipotle sauce is delicious on the burrito. It was almost $20 but it's all meat, no fillers and very heavy. I'm never in North Park but I found this place on Yelp. The carne asada beef was so tender, juicy, succulent, and flavorful. Most importantly, there was about 1.5X more meat than the average San Diego carne asada burrito, so I think the extra price is justified. On to PAPASOTES rocking grub! Freshly grilled meats like adobada, steak, chicken, soyrizo, and shrimp get packed into an assortment of tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, and stuffed baked potatoes. I highly highly recommend their steak STUFFED burrito ($17), but they also have bacon wrapped dogs and nachos! Papa also has delicious red and green salsa, that I highly recommend. As you're knocking back that giant burrito full of steak, feel free to wash it down with one of Papa's freshly prepared juices like strawberry lemonade. Let's start with this: You have to try their boujee papa. The flavors are insane. Went to Belching Beaver for drinks but really we went to finally try Papasotes and we're so glad we did and upset it took us so long to visit. We went with the boujee papa with adobada/pork and it was D E L I C I O U S. Comforting, mic of flavors just wow. The meat consistency reminded me of birria, which wasn't bad just a little unexpected. We also got the taco combo to try the carne asada but I think the adobada was better in my opinion. We ended up putting the extra rice and beans over the papa-- made it even better! Ok, last thing-- the salsas. Most places will have one solid salsa, either the red or green is good. Its been a year after I last came here, and I had to come back to confirm it was as good as I remembered. We had JUST gone to Tacos El Gordo a few hours before (literally 2 hours before). Now this is a hot dog! The place is located inside Belching Beaver. The tacos look delicious but I was craving a hot dog and a choco flan. The bun is toasted, the bacon is crispy around the hot dog, & whatever sauce they put on the hot dog is amazing! Everything is made to order so it's fresh. The pictures of food provided by previous customers and reviews helped us make the decision to try their food. They did not disappoint! Oh dear I have found some good Mexican food. I am a book of a Mexican food snob and struggle with the quality of tacos and tortas in this city. This place does not disappoint. Tacos 10/10 Burrito 7/10 Torta 8.5/10 Perrote (hot dog with meat) 10/10 This is basically just good Mexican street food if I'm being honest. Next I have to try their boujee papa. Only thing I will say is it is definitely GREASY. Like it is what it is I still come back but there's grease dripping off most of the stuff you'll eat and if that doesn't sound like your cup of tea you may want to avoid this place. First off, this little pop up business located behind Belching brewery is damn good. Those two ladies know how to make a good burrito. I tried the carne asada and it was great. Exceeding any expectations I originally had. Where to start? Last night I came here with my brother.. we were confused because the directions lead us to belching beaver but we learned that papasotes was in the back. Headed to the back and saw the pop up shop. Asked for 2 carne asada burritos The guy asked if we were first timers and he said he would take care of us. The place smelt delicious - I got my burrito and headed home. I took my first bite and I was mind blown . The meat was sooooo flavorful. Each bite tasted just like the first one. I was so shocked at how good it was. Towards the last 1/3 of the burrito it started dripping. It was a little greasy but which burrito isn't? The meat was very tender and I had almost no chewy pieces. The cheese was melted on the griddle with the tortilla to give it a nice flavor. Only downside was the hot sauce. Asked for a side of green to try it and they didn't add it. The red sauce wasn't spicy but it added a little flavor. Despite the hot sauce, the burrito was one of the best that I've had in recent days. That says a lot about- I don't really eat burritos as much as I did in my 20s lol read more

I personally adore the Carne Asada burrito. Now you can get just the Carne Asada burrito and that will rock your world - no substitutes or add-ons. The meat is high grade and there's lots of it combined with all the right bits of cheese, chipotle sauce, guacamole, onions, etc. But I personally also like to add-on rice as the rice is so flavorful and adds a balance to the meat and other ingredients. I will end with this. Anything you try, you'll come back thinking "Hmm if what I just ate is 10/10, I want to try everything and see if it's 10/10". We also had their hot dogs and all the tastes of the sauces with the bacon wrapped hotdogs are amazing.
