Purchased a small chesse bread from the 15400 West 9 mile Royal Oak location.. Around 10pm Thursday March 19, 2026 spoke with a charismatic individual placing my order. I asked for a small cheese bread with emphasis on CRISPY as I had before. I arrived for pickup and realized I dealt with the same individual my very first time as a customer a few weeks prior. Speeding things up, I got my order home which was a very short drive and found it wasn't as fresh as the first time I ordered the same snack. I thought to myself 'the sauce they give comes right out of a refrigerator. What I received was room temperature at best making me realize I was (more than likely) given an order someone didn't pickup. I called the restaurant and registered my issue as a cautionary note (not wanting a refund or remaking the order). After getting off the phone, I looked at the box again and thought 'he never tried to rectify the issue simply allowing me to walk away.' so to speak. I then decided, throw it out and simply write Papa's Pizza off of the list of places to buy snacks. I should thank that organization. In this economic environment, it is more than easy to cut any restaurant out of the rotation. More money for gasoline I guess!!???... or a restaurant that is consistent...we hope. I ordered through Uber eats and the order arrived quickly and hot. It depends on what you order as to the quality.

Ordered online and was charged but never received the pizza. Called location and was advised it was out for delivery after I waited an hour. Called back 30 minutes later since the pizza still had not arrived and was then told the order was never received. Never received an apology for being told incorrect information before. As many times as I have ordered from here, I never would've thought I would have received such poor and rude customer service. Will never order from here again. read more

Other than a slice from a "dollar store", I don't think you could find a more tasteless pizza. While baked ok, the cheese was tasteless as well as the sauce. In fact, the sauce tasted like tomato sauce unseasoned from a can. read more

This review is for delivery through door dash twice, so I am only rating the food. Pretty good tasting pizza, decent crust bite and taste, pretty good cheese and sauce. Tasty. My wife figured out something in it does not agree with her so we won't be getting it any more. However, the pizza was good tasting, particularly at that price point, even if not great. The bread sticks were not good. Dry and pretty tasteless except for the cheap garlic flavoring overapplied on top. read more

I just finished my pizza and cheesy bread and couldn't write a review quickly enough! I am SO EXCITED that Papa's Pizza is around the corner, and I'm sad we haven't gone sooner. They were so kind taking my order over the phone and didn't make me feel rushed. The pepperoni pizza is gooood. I love that you can choose round, thin, or deep dish crust. The classic round is what we went for. You have to do the garlic parm butter crust, too. Wow. We did half pepperoni and half sausage and I think pepperoni wins, but it was all great. The cheesy bread is huge and delicious! Their ranch is the good kind, if ya know what I mean. Hopefully you do. Didn't even snap a picture -- just dove head first into my food! I'll be back for sure. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I just ordered pick-up from Papas pizza on 9 mile in Oak Park and my order was TRASH!!!! The pizza bread I ordered was cold and hard. It had obviously been ordered by someone else and never picked up, so they pawned it off on me. When I called back to complain the owner lied and said that the pizza was cooked fresh and blamed me for the pizza being cold (saying that I didn't eat the pizza fast enough), when I literally sat down to eat the pizza as soon as I got home 15 minutes after I picked it up. I ended up throwing the food away, and I will NEVER order from this Papas pizza again in my life!!!! read more

The pizza and cheese bread combo I ordered was ready on time and delicious. The thin crust is very good, reminds me a bit of papa John's but well made with good flavor. They are generous with the toppings as well. I did not order light sauce which I sometimes do at pizza places, but their sauce was not excessive or overwhelming. I also often order pizza well done from other chains and may do this in the future with the cheesebread or non-thin pizzas. The thin crust pizza was perfect on a normal cook time. I tried the Parmesan garlic crust which was also great. The cheesebread was similar to jets but not as doughy. Overall great quality and price, fast service. They provide hot food and timely delivery, their service is pretty much on point. I've had one situation where my fries felt as though they had been waiting for the rest of my food to finish cooking. Otherwise, the pizza is delicious and their cheeseburgers and chili fries don't fall short either. On top of that, the portions are enough to have leftovers, unless you're starving, lol. Before you ask, yes I've had their pizzas. My brother really enjoyed the thin crust pizza and made a believer out of me. But I will say my preference is the Philly steak pizza. However, I diverse my review (addiction) is the rib tips--succulent, tender, and saucy. Add the bone-in chicken wing-dings, crispy, tasty crunchy morsels. I always get them bare and add the sauce on the side. My favorites are the original and the hot barbecue sauces. Then I end it all with the most amazing chocolate cake...and I am not a chocoholic! I'm almost embarrassed to say one time I was placing my usual order and the young lady said, "you don't want your chocolate cake?" ...(sigh) yes, people, I got my chocolate cake. I can't believe it took me this long to try Papa's Pizza. The pizza round or square is amazing. Their ranch is on point, which of course is important if you live in Michigan. I love their wing dings and their salads are pretty good too. Great customer service too which I feel like lacks in most pizza joints. After calling the restaurant a few times to get a resolution about going through the proper channels to file an insurance claim to determine if their food caused my suffering from food poisoning for three days, I wrote a review instead because this could have been handled professionally and correctly. The first time I called to call back on a Tuesday (I called on a Thursday) because the owner wasn't in. I called back Tuesday and spoke to John the manager who was not only rude but he accused me of being delusional, said that I didn't get food poisoning from their food, that it was impossible, to get the food tested on my dime instead of going through their insurance company and refused to let me speak to the owner. I called a couple more times after that to speak to the owner but he was never there nor did they take my number when I asked for a call back. I will NEVER eat here again. And the reason I wholeheartedly believed that the result of my food poisoning came from here was because I had not ate for two days prior because a really good friend of mine I had known for a very long time passed and I was in shock and had lost my appetite. And Papa's Pizza was the first thing I had ate since before I lost my appetite. read more
