I always say that my teachers are heroes without capes so the theme of this truck was so fitting. Every year, I try to do something extra special for my staff. This year, I booked the Hero Or Villain Food Truck. I was able to select 6 different sandwiches for my staff to choose from and options such as loaded fries & soft drinks. These sandwiches were the BOMB! Freshly made and grilled with such unique options: Blackfire (Steak, bacon, egg, mozz, grilled peppers, onion & drizzled with a spicy sriracha mayo), Thor (Turkey, bacon & Cheddar, mayo), Kingpen (Grilled Chicken, mozzarella & pesto aioli), Captain Planet (Marinated Mushrooms, Grilled Onions, Mozz, Red Pepper & pesto aioli), Deathstroke (Steak, grilled peppers, provolone, onion & mayo), Hawkeye (Turkey, swiss, sauerkraut, pickles, 1000 island dressing). These sandwiches were served on grilled sourdough, marble rye or a hoagie bun. My favorite was Thor but the Hawkeye was equally as delicious. I didn't have a chance to try all of them but everyone was raving about their sandwiches. The two ladies working the food truck were amazing. Serving up 50+ sandwiches in 1 1/2 hours was seamless. I've been told that this food truck travels all over the place. If you are lucky enough to try them, trust me, you will be in sandwich heaven! If you are booking an event, I highly recommend Hero or Villain Food Truck. Until next time, #catwoman

I will say, it is pricy and can take a long time to make since it's made fresh to order, especially if there's any kind of line. The Kingpin sandwich was delicious and my go-to: chicken, mozzarella, spinach, tomatoes, and pesto aioli on grilled sourdough. It's a great combo of ingredients. I also have tried their waffle fries are solid. I would love to try other varieties at their home base in Ferndale (which has more variety). But I highly recommend checking this place out. Great quality and great tasting sandwiches!

The sandwich originated in Chicago, so I like that Matt & Mo's has a replica of Wrigley Field's ivy wall. On the flip side, I didn't like being charged a 4% fee for paying with a card. My wife ordered a pepperoni pizza puff along with French fries. The pizza puff fell apart too easily, and was basically a larger version of a Totino's pizza roll. The fries were standard. With my sandwich, I ordered poutine. The consistency and flavor of the gravy made the poutine much better than average. As for the Italian beef, it did not disappoint. I regret getting just sweet peppers, as I should have gotten either hot or mild peppers with the sweet. I did get the whole sandwich dipped in au jus, which was the right move. This was my first time having an Italian beef, so it's hard to judge, but I definitely enjoyed it. Next time, I will bring cash to pay, and might even try some of the other menu items. I look forward to trying Doug's Delight, as well.

I ordered the combo which is possibly the best sandwich I've ever had. Moist/well-seasoned beef, garlic bread with just right amount of garlic, italian sausage, and I added provolone as well. Everything meshed together perfectly.

Between the colorful décor, the upbeat music, and the buzzing crowd, it just feels like somewhere you're meant to have a good time. I ordered the street tacos, and they absolutely delivered. Packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and served on soft tortillas that held everything together just right -- simple, authentic, and done really well. Every bite had that fresh, crave-worthy taste that makes you immediately plan your next visit. And the service? Top-tier. Friendly, attentive, and fast without ever making us feel rushed. The staff really kept the experience flowing and made sure everything was on point. Imperial isn't just a taco spot -- it's an experience. Great food, great service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay for another round. I'll definitely be back.

She was really attentive to everyone the entire night, and she even split the bill for us at the end of the meal without us having to ask. Imperial is a great date night spot. It has intimate lighting and is quiet enough for conversing. It's nice without being so nice that a dress code is required. The food was great! I really enjoyed my tacos which were all well-curated. I thought all of the toppings and salsas matched the proteins of the tacos I chose perfectly. They were also not too dry or saucy, so it was easy to pick up and enjoyable to eat. Of the 3 I tried, I liked either the Al Pastor or Adobada De Pollo the most. The Camaron was a bit too smokey for me, but I could see other people really liking that. I also got the Sinners Savior cocktail which was lacking in tomato flavor and spice, but it was still a decent drink. Overall, I would come back if I'm in the mood for more elevated Mexican food or looking for a place in Ferndale to dine in with others.
