    Roast Beef on Rye
    Christian K.

It's not bad, not sure whether it's a two or three for me yet. Guess I'll just type n see... The service was nice and friendly, looks like they have the typical deli items too. Wow, while trying to write a little something about this place, I realize that there really wasn't ANYTHING remarkable about this place :/ I ordered 'The Crown Point' or something like that which was supposed to have Roast Beef and Ham on Rye. Sammich showed up and it was a plain 'ol Roast Beef sandwich... good, tasty, missing ham though. I wasn't gonna send it back or anything but, I still wondered how that happened. Do they not know what's on their sandwiches? I mean, if they were like REALLY busy.... OK OK, forgivable but, it was us and ONE other table of TWO. I didn't notice anyone going from making food to answering the phone and handling the cash register then BACK to finishing making our food. I even used the munchkin as an excuse so 'WE' can watch them lol. It's also been a couple days since we went, no tummy troubles so far, so we're probably A-OK. My fiance got the hamburger, it looked like it could've been good but I don't think I had a bit of it. If I did... it wasn't memorable lol. The one thing I think was nice was that one of the people that worked there gave the munchkin a free small ice cream cone - then when she didn't like the flavor, he went ahead and switched it out for Vanilla. Unfortunately, that nice little gesture brought us to the ice cream freezer thing... Grossness. Looked dirty and messy, with the tubs just kinda in there, tops haphazardly stacked (if I can even call it that) beside them on the base of the freezer. IDK, maybe it was just an off day for them? I mean there's plenty of awesome 4 and 5 star reviews. We may go back to try again but, for now I'm just gonna say - Meh, I've had better.

The ice cream there is so delicious I went there when I was 3 or 5 but I recommend you get some after they reopen.

Appears to be on its way out of business, and to that I say good riddance. Doesn't deserve to be called a deli.

Cool deli on the square in Crown Point. Old Greek Guy "Papa" mans the store. Great place to grap a quick bite.

This is a Serbian owned business as one can easily distinguish just by looking around. The owner is from the Vojvodina region of Serbia and has put together a fabulous store. I love cevapcici! I tried Euro Market's and they are very good. They are sold here frozen and in a few varieties. I prefer mine made with some lamb, so I chose those. Serve with diced fresh onions and the Serbian style bread. I also loved red peppers in a jar, sold here and they are excellent. A full case of smoked meats and Hungarian salami, the best. All kinds of variety and interesting finds from Eastern Europe. Items from Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Serbia, Poland, Russia, Turkey. Stop in and explore and try some of the unique delectable treasures found at Euro Market. Highly Recommended! Great Find!

They have a good selection of Greek olive oils in the big 3 gallon square metal containers (101oz) most of them under $30. You cannot beat that price. Also they carry all sorts of Feta cheeses including sheep feta, Bulgarian Feta, kashkaval and other E.European cheeses. As far as meats they carry all sorts of dried salamis including Hungarian, Romanian such as Sibiu, Polish kabanos sausage and many other dried or smoked meats some that I've never seen before. Lots of canned stuff as well, if you're into making stuffed cabbage they have a good variety of canned cabbage and grape leaves. I'm Romanian but I grew up with a variety of products I mentioned above from all over that region. The service: I would've given them 5 stars, the only reason I took a star away is because of the service, the girl at the counter seemed to be mostly clueless when I asked her to give me some information about a few products. Her English was horrific but that's fine it didn't bother me. Also I think we've gotten used to deal with bigger businesses where they train their employees to behave courteously, she was on the phone yelling in Serbian a good part of the time when I asked her a few questions she talked to me like I was there kind of bugging her phone conversation which I didn't think was very professional. Overall don't let that stop you from visiting this place, if you grew up in the Balkans region or E.Europe in general you will find something that will bring back memories for sure.

They also updated their menu to specify prices for a small and a large sandwich and even have the bread clearly on display near the menu. I really appreciated seeing that so much! The lady who I assumed was the owner/manager was very kind and got me my order of a large croissant sandwich meal , key lime pie bar, and an iced coffee. The sandwich was delicious and I upgraded it to a meal. I kind of panic picked my side and chose the potato salad. It is a very eggy-based potato salad and is definitely the choice for you if you prefer that! And the sandwich was great and I was pretty happy. The key lime pie bar had a perfect ratio of key lime mixture and the shortbread crust. I love crust and appreciated that there was the perfect amount to enjoy both flavors. The texture of the key lime pie + lemon bars are more whipped/cohesive compared to the usual lemon bar's acidic softness. I think this would be perfect for people with food sensory issues or just people who don't like the texture of normal lemon bars. Overall, I was pretty happy with my visit and glad to update it with a way better review :) So glad to see how nice the business looks and appreciate the management!
