Love Butterfingers! Awesome box lunches that are made fresh and fast! Whenever I'm in the area and want a damn good sandwich I swing in at either this or the munster location. Cakes and brownies are amazing here and the breads are so hearty and delicious. The double chocolate mousse cake, hazelnut and German chocolate cakes to die for, cheesecakes are creamy and delicious too. Can't say enough good things about the brownies especially the cranberry bars they only have in winter when cranberries are in season. I legit wait patiently ALL year for those things Cakes are only sold whole, halved or quartered. A quarter of a cake is basically 2 generous slices... or one if you're feelin froggy that day. Customer service is always friendly and very helpful, they know all the cakes and what allergens they may contain too so if you have any food allergies let them know and they'll steer you in the right direction. Stopped in at Butterfingers today when we were in the area, at the Highland store. It is Friday so I thought they would be all stocked up for the weekend, but NO! My favorite chocolate cookies weren't available. They had sold the last 4 the day before, so why didn't they start baking 1st thing in the morning?!? For my wife birthday I ordered a sheet size cake that was banana flavored with whip cream and a round cake red velvet flavored with cream cheese. Both were very nicely decorated and very delicious. Many inquiries from our guest as to where we got it from. I can't end this review without mentioning the front end staff that took my order. So very polite, patient and helpful. 2 stars only because of a rude lady that works there. The salads are great but they gave me the wrong salad one time took so I took it back and the lady was so rude and unethical about changing it. When you walk in the first thing you should do is grab a number!!! They often have a long line in which if you don't get a number, you can be waiting for a very long time. Please learn from my failed experience. Ha Outside of that, the food is hand made with quality and love. I have tons of memories coming here as a kid and at the other location too. They are pretty fast and take extra care when making your order. They make the chocolate strawberries fresh in the back. So if you don't see them in the display, make sure you ask. Very overpriced. $20 for a half cake and they don't even have boxes to fit a half cake so they put it in a whole cake box and even after placing the cake on the floor of the car to avoid tipping, it tipped anyway. The topping had to be scraped off the side of the box. For as much as they charge they ought t9 get some boxes to fit what they are selling. And the menu is very inconsistent. Went there 3 times to get some walnut brownies for my mother and the never had them in. The cake was good once we tipped it right side up (even though the whipped icing was still in the box). read more

I love this place! They have great tuna and chicken salads. I haven't anything else. But we also like all their pastries, from the cupcakes, cookies and the brownies. Their cakes are to die for! My family always gets birthday cakes from here. I believe we've tried almost every cake or cheesecake flavor they make. The price for a full-sized round cake has gone up slightly over the years but it fits the quality of their cakes. read more

If you are trying to be healthy, I would advise against this place. All they have are extremely sugary fattening diabetes inducing desserts and dolled up "salads" with insane amounts of Mayo. The only thing I could fathom getting on my lunch break was a vegetarian wrap. I paid 10 dollars for a wrap ( extra for avocado, hardly any was put in it). Went there on Valentines day to buy their yummy chocolate covered strawberries. As I was waiting my turn...I looked at the beautiful strawberries in their display case. I see a spider crawling on the strawberries! I realize these things happen. I told the young lady and she took the entire platter of berries to the back room. She said they would be happy to make fresh ones for me on the spot. I asked that they be white chocolate with no brown chocolate drizzle. She went in the back...I have waited about 15 minutes. She then comes out and says they can't make them for me without brown chocolate drizzle as they were on the spider plate. Were they going to pretend to make my fresh berries but just give me the ones off the plate hidden in the back? I will never know...and I will never return. So, the food is excellent here, and I won't waste a bunch of time on that. My hang up with this place is the customer service. Good food gets you so far, but eventually, unless you're going to match it with a customer centric approach to service, you're going to stagnate. I've been here a number of times for cakes, lunches, snacks, etc. and I have never been able to get out of this place in under 10 minutes. . 2p, noon, 5p...doesn't matter. Second, there can be 4 women working the front counter, and only one of them is helping a customer. I'm sure there are other tasks that need to be accomplished, but perception is reality, and the perception is that they don't care about waiting on you. Always love coming to this place! Great food, and yummy deserts. However, it's extremely frustrating as they can not seem to keep their policies in order. Often times I ask for pickles on the side due to traveling and not wanting my sandwich to get overly soggy. Sometimes they oblige, sometimes they don't. My family loves butterfinger cakes. I have never had an issue, and the cakes are delicious. They do get busy because of such good cakes, so be patient and grab a number. I have read some of the reviews and it seems that poor customer service was a lot of people's one star reviews, I can say we have never experienced those issues. We have many bakery options to choose from, but we choose to drive 40 minutes for butterfingers! read more

I would like to write a review as a former Butterfingers employee.... I worked with Butterfingers for three years. I have nothing but positive words to express my time spent there! Being that Butterfingers was my first job I started out with the company quite young. From day one I was treated with the upmost respect....beyond that, I was treated with kindness. As this is a family run business it's pretty small, so you get to know everybody very well. Although I am not directly related to the owner and his family, I can very happily say I left (and will always remain) a close member. I was always proud to work for a company that delivered such high quality product to a clientele who exuded excitement and support for the store! Not to mention working with other employees who were all focused on a common goal....ensuring people leave happy, and of course having fun while doing it. (Yes you heard me....work....it was fun!) When the time came for me to move on to another career path EVERY SINGLE one of my bosses, including the owner himself, wrote me an outstanding review and wished me well on my new journey ahead. This meant the world to me. So, if my statement above isn't enough to make you fall in love....Butterfingers still has the most delicious food in town.
