Absolutely horrendous. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Never been more frustrated in my entire life. Ordered a California cheesesteak. Arrived at my house not as ordered. Called to rectify situation and receive what I ordered. Excuse: "they didn't see the 'california' part on the order. I made sure to explain my order again-what I paid for- Cali cheesesteak with extra cheese and extra meat. Made sure to ask that they SAW the "extras"....they claimed they saw. New delivery shows up- 100000% NOT extra meat-which I paid for-and the bread is STALE. Disgustingly stale. OH!! And the driver had to "make sure He got the other sandwich back." Never again!!!!!!! Loved the food for a long time. Ordered the pizza and a salad at least once a week. Until this week when I already had a salad in the fridge but no dressing. Ordered a pizza and a side of the house dressing (It's awesome!) I was informed that they won't sell me dressing without a salad. I asked to speak to a manager, figuring they'd make an exception as we order there alllllll the time. Flat out "No." because the Owner Anthony said they'd have to make more dressing for the rest of the night. (Which is apparently a very, very hard thing to do....?) So I was very surprised, and said I'd like to cancel my order. Anthony (again, an OWNER) said to me "Really, you'll cancel over that? Go FUCK yourself" and hung up on me. So I called back to tell him "I wasn't rude, I wasn't yelling, I was expressing my disappointment and as an owner you tell me to go fuck myself?" He told me I'll never get his salad dressing again. So if you like good pizza, and want terrible customer service where the owner feels appropriate swearing at you for being unhappy, eat at Papa V's! Papa V's is definitely the place to go in Brick if you pizza or cheesesteaks. Their pizza is outstanding, with a good crisp crust, flavorful sauce, and fresh cheese. They have tons of choices when it comes to toppings and specialty pizzas. The cheesesteaks are simply awesome. I love the special steak with no hot peppers and extra sauce. Just typing it makes my mouth water. I've also had the chicken parm and meatball parm subs too, and they were very good. However, I have to say that their ribs (St. Louis style, in particular) are probably the best meal that they make and are SIMPLY AMAZING! I love my ribs, and these are some of the best ribs that I have ever eaten. These blow the local rib joints out of the water. The ribs have lots of meat, are super tender, and have a tasty BBQ sauce. Totally finger-lickin good. The cornbread is damn good too! And everyone at Papa V's is super friendly. I highly recommend Papa V's. read more

Came in on Friday October 19th, 2012 around 2:30 PM for a slice of Sicilian Pizza and Penne Pasta Pizza along with a Fountain Soda. Both were above average - Sicilian Pizza was well made however I do prefer other places for this type of pizza. However, I found the Penne Pasta Pizza Slice to be exceptionally well made. After leaving New Jersey - I have found slices like the penne to be difficult to find anywhere else in the country especially at this price point. read more

I just left a bad experience. We have been looking for a place for a quick meal on friday nights. Thought we found it. The last couple of weeks we have had good food and received it the way it was ordered. Not so tonite.!!! When I returned to the restaurant with meal in hand. I brought my four kids in with me yesterday afternoon. We had a variety of foods, from pizza, to burgers, to a grilled sandwich. Everything was terrific. The staff is always smiling and friendly. First off i was totally impressed by this place.... 2nd off if someone is giving it 3 stars comparing it to pete and eldas and saying "thin crust Sicilian" they have no clue what they're talking about. My family cooks some damn good Italian food, and growing up right out side of nyc i've had some other peoples damn good Italian food... as well as others around here (pats, cervones, and that dump by aldi's).... this place is really up there in my opinion. Their crust AND sauce have flavor... which is rare in good old bricktuckey.... this place uses fresh basil and other fresh ingredients to finnish the pie off. We also tried their cannoli which is homemade and piped to order.... the shells were light and crisp and the filling fresh and just right. I'd have to say this place is the best take out i've had in this area, definitely made us switch our "place" to go! P.S. I went to pick it up, seems like it's family operated, the staff was efficient, more then welcoming and friendly. They keep the store extremely clean, and also have other food like chicken, ribs, some pasta dishes, homemade mashed potatoes and homemade mac and cheese,.... which brings me to another point.... I have loved Papa Vs since they opened up about 5 years ago. Cleaning up the dump that used to be there. Im a regular and really have never had anything but good experiences there. Pizza, Salads made with fresh grilled chicken or salmon, cheesesteaks, subs, you name it, i have tried it from them. I have never been compelled to write reviews because I figured that most people have a brain and they can make there own decisions. But I just had to write one in response to the one written by "holly L" yesterday. I was in the the store when "holly L" called. That is no way close to what i heard going down. They did not want to buy a pizza and a salad with an extra "side" of dressing. THEY WANTED TO BUY A QUART, Yes a QUART of the home made dressing that is used on the salads there and nothing else. You have to understand that 90% of the the menu is made from scratch and that includes the salad dressing. Anthony expained to them that they make the dressing fresh every day in small batches because it is as good as it is BECAUSE ITS MADE FRESH!!! He couldnt sell a quart to this irrational person because he probably didnt have enough toto make a quart. (This phone call came in around 7pm i would say). How in hell can people call a place and make demands for something that isnt on the menu, isnt sold buy the quart and get pissed off when they are told "NO, I'm sorry, but i cant sell it to you". I have ordered salads with extra housedressing all the time, they have never said no, but i only want a little side, not a flipping quart! Keep in mind that I could hear the person on the phone screaming and watched Anthony flinch as what he was hearing must have been extremly rude. Everyone is human and i appaud him for keeping it together for as long as he did, i didnt hear him say the f-bomb which would have tumbled out of my mouth in the first 30 seconds, but he was very upset after he hung up the phone. In a terrible thunderstorm, this excellent establishment was dedicated enough to DELIVER a delicious pie to our home. I have enjoyed yummy plain pies from here before but tonight we decided to get a half veggie and half eggplant rollitini large pie and boy are we glad we did! Both halves were delicious.
