After patronizing another establishment in Star for the past year and a half or so, I decided to give Westside another try. My wife was out with friends and I was looking forward to staying home and eating pizza with a beer and watching TV. Westside is located just off Star, on Hercules, across from the strip mall that has The Hair Lounge and AnyTime Fitness. I believe they are now strictly pick up or delivery. They do have an app, which I used today after creating an account. I ordered the signature Westside pizza, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. I actually ordered at about 1:45 to be picked up at 4:55. When I arrived, the pizza was ready and hot. I brought it home, got my frosted mug and poured my beer, and grabbed three slices. I threw some hot peppers on it, and dug in. This pizza was excellent. The crust was just the right thickness, not soft but somewhat crunchy, just the way I like it. There was ample cheesed and the toppings were plentiful and came together for a delicious flavor. I think I just found my new favorite pizza joint in town.

They were told they had to call ahead and make reservations. They offered to split up and sit down. They were told that the two people up front were going home in 30 minutes. It was 2 1/2 hours before closing. There is no signage about the dining room closing early. The employee up front was extremely rude. The manager was not able to make the situation better and the employee continued to yell even when other customers were at the counter. One customer came up and said they couldn't believe what had happened. My family left. We are huge fans of flying pie, but it's more than just the great pizza, it needs to be a place where families can walk in and be treated with kindness and respect. So tonight we gathered at a different pizzeria and the contrast was big. They were accommodating and patient and we enjoyed being together and having the space and time we wanted. If you have wheelchairs/strollers I found this so helpful, it's on a concrete patio and it's clean and well maintained. The dough was perfect, the bottom was crispy on both pies and you could taste the fresh ingredients! They take pride in preparing We travel from NV to ID often and happy we found an additional stop for grub. The restrooms were clean, they didn't have a changing table but I prefer on the truck tailgate so that had no bearing on our experience. The interaction with the staff was respectful, professional.
