First, I want to review the product, not this specific location the 3 stars is for the location. I tried two of the four possible new papa johns papadias. These new products are mediocre at best. This new product as you can see from the photos posted are very light on the sauce, therefore, making them very dry. You may also notice they're light on cheese and topping as well. This new rollout is $6 each, most definitely not worth the cost. Papa Johns doesn't have the $5 menu like other pizza chains currently do. If they did it would maybe be worth the $5 from that type of menu. Second, taste, In my opinion, if this product had more sauce it would improve the papadia dramatically. The papadias taste like a pizza with no sauce(yes I know it actually is a small pizza folded in half). It's MEH. So my conclusion to this product is average, nothing special and definitely not worth the price. read more

Food was undercooked, service was horrible because they wouldn't answer the phone so I had to go up there and then when I got up there, they tried to argue with me about it. I could clearly tell that everyone was under the influence of something. And was told that they don't have to answer the phone that's why the phone was still ringing, even when I arrived. They were all on their phone, there was no sense of urgency. I will be calling again to make sure the manager knows in the morning. Used to love Papa John's pizza. Long time customer from the 90's. You could order regular pizza, just cheese and pepperoni, had plenty of each and it was always tasty and had a good amount of cheese. Last 3 times I have ordered I always order extra cheese and extra sauce, and pay the extra cheese fee. Never do we get extra sauce, or cheese. Always order it well done or it is undercooked on the dough and it is just horrible. We did not eat half the pizza. Loved their dough points but I would rather get tombstone than free pizza from here. This franchise as a whole has slipped and we will not order from here again. read more

Papa John's used to always be a solid pizza for a cheap family meal. The last few pizzas we've ordered had very sparse toppings and always seem to be undercooked in the center. There are better options around for the money. read more

Came in for an online order tonight. This location has a pretty unprofessional crew. Music blasting with inappropriate language. Crew cussing with customers waiting in store. I used to work for Papa John's back in 2004-2013. We were always required to wear the Papa John's hats when working. Guess that got thrown out the window here. Some of the insiders on the makeline like to cough in their hands and continue making pizzas. One crew member scratched his head while making food. She told me she had made the pizza herself which looking at the label and pizza and described pizza is completely wrong . But then for a manager to scream at a customer, i'm sorry not acceptable!!! Well it's been a minute since I ordered from Papa John's over in Maricopa but I was in a craving mood for some wings and a nice cookie and this extremely attractive cute girl came by and dropped them off for me and I damn your ate it no on one setting LOL I just had the roasted wings and I had the regular Buffalo wins and they were both be on excellent really good. Along with the order the Papa John's pizza tracker stated it was out for delivery and I waited 25mins for it.. it stated 36-45 mins for the order but in total it was 1hr 10mins. Overall basic pizza right? It's always decent and consistent, at least in my experience. I've ordered from this location a handful of times and never had any issues. Tonight I ordered delivery and unfortunately it was going to be a little over 90 minutes before they could deliver. I decided to cancel because I didn't want to wait that long. Things happen, people get sick, places get busy, whatever, I wasn't upset. When I called, the young man who answered immediately started apologizing and let me know he only had one driver that night and he'd refund my card and he hoped I'd give them another shot and just continued to apologize. I told him it wasn't a big deal and its not his fault and of course I'd come back. You could just tell he'd been screamed at by some Karen's and Kens, and was doing his best to take care of the customers, despite him not being personally responsible for the delivery time. It's PIZZA folks get over yourself. If this is the only method you have of feeding yourself and/or your family you have bigger problems than a delivery time that happened to be longer than normal. If you are the type of person to call and scream at another human being over pizza delivery times you are an actual POS and I can recommend a good mental health expert for you. read more

Normally we love papa John's but it's getting worse each time we get it. I got a pizza today and the sauce tasted like they dumped it straight from the can. No seasoning, nothing. The black olives tasted like they were bad and the mushrooms tasted exactly like the black olives. I'm not buying pizza from here anymore. This place probably just earned my business for life all with one act of generosity. I work in the valley and on this day I forgot my wallet. Driving home which I live SE of Maricopa fifteen minutes. It being almost 9pm I forgot I forgot my wallet lol go figure right as I walk thru he door the nice guy is polite asking me my name and about to hand me my pizza. I stop him and kind of chuckle and say first tell me I can call my wife and have her pay over the phone. Ugh so greasy... we just ate a pizza and wings from here. It was full of grease, the crust was burnt and the wings seemed barely cooked. I'm pretty sure they use frozen cheese. I've only ever seen cheese crack and crumble like that from a frozen grocery pizza. Plus it's so over priced. Pretty decent for a chain, always fast service and order is always correct. Normally can have pizza to my door in under 30 minutes and the prices are good during their promos. For me I always choose Papa John's over the others here in Maricopa just because I like their service and normally prefer their pizza. read more
