I have never received such bad service - ever!! $25 pizza. I have a front bay window with w/two large, barking, annoying standard poodles. The dude at the store, Derek, was so disrespectful, and it's absurd that I live in a 1,000 ft house with Barky, two giant dogs, and the driver stated she knocked loudly and called. No. A fairy couldn't knock on my door w/out my dogs going batty (if you have one, you know). I was disrespected by "Derek" and told, basically, that I was wrong. He gave no resolution or apology and basically hung up." But, logically... WHY would I spend $25 AND tip on a pizza, not notice (nor my barky two dogs), and have to call to inquire about the delivery? I hadn't checked because I live with DOGS!! IMPLAUSIBLE. I contacted text support. Ridiculous and no point. I called customer support (this is how much time I spent because I've been in CS for 30 years, and wow...).I was rebuffed and treated poorly, and THEN was told the general manager would contact me today. I CALLED back today (after the timely manner I was given) and was told my complaint had been closed BY THE STORE manager!! No resolution, nothing except wasting 2 hours of my valuable time to resolve a horrible, wallet-draining, don't even think crappy describes the all-around experience with the staff AND that cold pizza. I'll go somewhere else forever and will sing it loudly about the BS situation. They don't deserve even to get a salary because all they do is foster an abusive customer relations situation. I have. Trash service. There were only two old people working there and they yelled that my pizza was up, but screamed that they couldn't hand me my pizza because other orders were up and it was only that worthless two. Straight up the old woman couldn't take 30 seconds to give me my pizza, but cared more about door dash orders than direct patrons. Needless to say that this location is trash, the owner is trash, the owner only hired trash workers so that he can profit off of the worst labor in the industry. The owner is at fault for the repeated trash experiences that the workers create. I don't wanta pizza that was deprioritized because the fat worker didn't want to walk 10 feet. Trying to place an order is ridiculous. It took me over 25 minutes just to place an order (on the phone!). The online app wouldn't put through the order so I called (That was an additional 15 minutes of getting bounced around). First, I had to give all of the delivery information to AI. Then, I was transferred to a team member and the phone cut in and out so badly, I only hope I placed my order correctly. I couldn't understand anything the team member was asking me. THEN, I was transferred back to AI to take all my payment information. When all was said and done, it said it would be 40 minutes for delivery so everyone's lunch at work will be late. Extremely rude and condescending management. Blamed DoorDash driver and said we were scamming them when they left the pizza outside for an hour at the wrong apartment door. This man kept talking about how it wasn't the 80's and that it was "2025 and people are always trying to pull something" I asked if there was a way he could do a charge back or if we could get it resent. We hadn't had Papa John's Pizza in a few years and thought we would order because we use to enjoy it. When I stopped in to pick up our pizza the person only grunted with I said hello and gave them my name; upon leaving I said thank you and the same person didn't even acknowledge me. On a last minute, very unexpected trip, my soul needed a hot meal instead of a cold snack or a protein bar. However, the cabin I had rented on the fly was on the side of a mountain, and I had just arrived to it late in the evening. Clearly, I was not in the primetime for food delivery and was concerned I'd find anything that delivered to my location regardless. Thankfully, this Papa John's location was still open AND their website confirmed they would deliver. Whew. I placed my order online and received a confirmation. It took a little longer to arrive than the longest estimated delivery time indicated, but it was OK -- that cabin wasn't the easiest place to find, especially in the dark. I heard a vehicle coming up the long gravel road, so I went to the door to peer out. As the delivery driver approached, carrying food boxes and wearing a face mask, there I stood on the other side of the half-glassed door, staring at him. I think I scared the poor guy! (Sophia moment: Picture this. Some obscure cabin on the side of a mountain, next-to-no lights aside from the stars, and this gaunt woman just standing at the door staring out as the midnight hour approaches...yeah, like something-out-of-a-movie creepy for sure.) He quickly said he'd leave the boxes on the railing, and I thanked him. Since I had paid and tipped online, there was no money to exchange or receipts to sign. We choose to order Papa John's for New Years Eve for our family. I was not satisfied with any of the experience to be honest. For one pizza, garlic bread, 1 order of chicken poppers, and 1 papa bowl cost me 45.00! That's ridiculous, but I put it aside, hoping it would be delicious. The pepperoni on the pizza had a terrible taste. I'm pretty sure they were bad. The garlic bread was very dark and obviously overbaked. Thankfully my kiddos didn't mind. I got a veggie Papa Bowl and laughed when I opened it. There was maybe a handful of veggies. It was literally a very skimpy single layer bowl that didn't even cover the bottom. Mind you, I paid 8.00 for a handful of veggies. And since I'm pissed about it, you could go a little easy on the oil! The only thing that was decent were the chicken poppers. I reached out to papa johns online by filling out the customer satisfaction form. I was emailed by what I assume is the manager of the store. He seemed agitated that I didn't contact the store directly (let's be honest that would not have gone far). He simply told me they would try to do better. Didn't offer any type of refund or suggestions on how to rectify the situation. Basically, sorry you are out of luck kinda email. Save your time and money. Go elsewhere. read more

Papa Johns Pizza - Here is the skimpy papa bowl - Pizza Near Me - Johnson City, Tennessee

This is one of the older Papa John's, but it's still pretty clean inside. They do a lot of campus business as you would expect from their location. I've been here several times, so this is a mix of experiences over the last six months or so. First, I prefer using their on line ordering with coupons through their app. I have had problems getting what I want over the phone. I tell them the coupon, but they don't seem to know about it. It was probably one individual, but he shouldn't be answering the phone. The on line part has been accurate, even to the correct time. The current manager also checks the order before handing it out. The last time I wanted square cut, but the oven guy cut it regular. The manager apologized, as did the oven guy, and offered to remake it, but I didn't want to wait another 10 minutes. I was impressed he even noticed the different cut. The pizza is pretty good. The spicy Italian sausage is only in terms of oregano, not heat. I would think the hamburger is bland, so have no plans to try it. The bacon was crispy but not hard. The onions were really good. They had flavor and were not so soft you didn't know you had bit one. The crust on the extra large was cooked completely without being soggy in the middle and burnt on the edges. Overall, very well done. I would probably call this a 3.5, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and go with a 4 due to some decent pricing. read more

So I did not even get my pizza, cheese sticks and wings tonight. I placed an order over an hour ago to pick up. I expected an hour wait but the pizza tracker was not changing. I called the store. Spoke with what I assume was the manager. RUDE and he yelled at me. Unacceptable. I was told he had not touched my order and it would still be an hour and a half. This is Papa John's not a Gourmet Meal. I know I am one customer, one order, but I expect to be treated with respect even if you cannot fill my order. Frankly, I don't usually complain and I just love on, but that man was just rude and pissed me off. I feel sorry for those that work for someone like that. read more

I've been insulted on several different occasions for chosing to wear a mask in public by a bald employee with gray hair. On the third occasion he made the comment that I must be a BLM protester. Im guessing he made this assumption because I am gay and its noticeable. Im not sure. I then chose to tell him that I was simply wearing a mask to be cautious during the pandemic because I have a congenital heart condition in which he then responds with "ohhh alright you have a heart condition but you're eating here? That's rich!" He then went on to talk to a coworker and continued looking back as he did laughing as he clearly was insulting me further. I have NEVER been treated so rudely in a restaurant nor have I had someone attack me due to their personal political beliefs that I never asked to hear about in the first place. I will be finding the owners information and I plan to pursue my complaint to the fullest extent. I refuse to be attacked by a minimum wage employee at a pizza joint..or any where else for that matter. read more

So, I go to ETSU, and I've ordered pizza a few times from this Papa John's because it is close to campus. Usually the delivery time is extremely poor. The other day, I went to eat there and decided to dine-in. I left a steel water bottle, and apparently it was found. They kept it for about a day and a half, and they knew what I was talking about when I asked if they had found it. After searching a few minutes, one of the employees came up to me and said, "Yeah, it was definitely here, but we probably threw it away. I can't guarantee we threw it away, but it's not in the store." So I said, "That's okay. Thanks." Then the guy said, "You can't just expect us to keep your stuff here." And that's why I'm posting this. It was so exceptionally rude. I've worked in a pizza place, and that kind of service is NOT how you keep customers. I'm telling all of my friends to boycott this Papa John's, and I DEFINITELY will not be going back. I wish I would have thought to have gotten his name so I could tell a manager. Overall, the experience has not been great, and this was the final straw to help me realize my business would be appreciated elsewhere. Do not use this store. read more

I use to spend $50 a week at least at papa John's on w walnut in Johnson City. Now, I won't step in the door, I understand employees make mistakes, but managers you expect to make it right. The last time I was there, they accidentally sent my pickup order out for delivery. The employee who made the mistake said he was sorry and was making me one on the house. So I asked if he needed my card back for the refund and he went to get the manager. The manager came to the front and told me that I wasn't getting the pizza at no cost, that I could either pay for the pizza and take a free 20 oz drink or get a refund and no pizza. The employee told the manager he said I could have it on the house and he starting fussing at him while customers were standing there. Any company that would allow this guy(Don) to be a manager I'll never do business with again. The saddest part is I called corporate office and they said some would be getting in touch with me to resolve the issue. Never heard back from anyone, one thing that has been consistent with their customer service is not keeping their word and being very disrespectful. read more
