I probably should actually only give one star. We prefer Papa John's over other chains, even with 4 competitors being closer to us. We opted for delivery and after an hour of waiting, called the store only to be told it was on its way. Few minutes later, a call was received from the driver asking if I received my pizza. He stated it was left in my porch. No doorbell, no knock. After reviewing doorbell video, it had been on porch for 30+ minutes. Pizza was cold and tough. Informed store; no call back or offer to correct. Will go with the competitors next time. read more

One thing I love about Papa Johns is ordering through the app. I went to CVS to pick up my medicine, so I placed my order online before I went into the store. By the time it was done, I walked over to Papa Johns. My pizza was done in ten minutes! I liked how fast and friendly they were inside. The carry out deal was pick any two favorites for $6. Today I had carry out pizza and what I saw was disgusting and so gross so the girl that made the pizza of course she was wearing gloves on but the phone is ringing and what do you think? she was answering the phone with the gloves on and served me with my pizza and charged me with the same gloves on and she returned to finish that pizza with the same gloves like what??? If I there was an option for minus stars I would give that. We went to the location the 13762 Potranco. I have never had a more rude experience especially from a manager. We order a pizza the way it comes and then a Papa bowl without cheese because of food allergies. It came with very thick layers of cheese and hardly anything of the vegetables. We called to let them know that we ended up with a bowl with cheese. We let him know it was an option to not have cheese when ordering and it gave a warning that there would be no cheese. He basically said we were lying and that wasn't an option. He refused to do anything to help. When we asked if he was the manager or if one was available he said he was the manager. We asked for corporates number and he said he doesn't have that information to give and hung up. We've had good experiences regarding the Fair Oaks location. However today (Sunday) was the exception. I went inside around 11:30am to pick up pizza, they weren't busy. A woman in her 50s, wearing street clothes was in waiting area looking at the baseboards---she appeared to be the mgr or owner. I'm a 72 yr old, polite woman--I said hello, got no reply. I went to counter to get pizza, she breezed past me and continued to walk all around inspecting baseboards. I was only customer and there were 2 young employees busy making pizza---I stood and waited while it seemed like forever while she completely ignored me. Eventually a new young man entered from the back, she spoke to him and I thought surely she was asking him to come to the counter. Nope, he disappeared until EVENTUALLY the young woman wearing gloves and who had flour all over her checked me out since the woman had just walked off. I usually come in on Saturday evening and there a gentleman there, hes about the woman's age---he's in street clothes, checking customers out, answering phone, managing employees---he's always polite. Terrible customer service on carry out. We've gone here for years and found it to be fine but they don't update their tracking ever. My husband stopped on the way home and they said it would be ready in 12min., then they said another 15 min. after he waited. The manager just ignored him and he waited and watched them drop all the boxes on the floor then pick them up and pack them. We won't be going back. read more

Quickly becoming the worst papa johns in the United States. If you like waiting an hour to pick up your pizza and then waiting another hour at the store go ahead and order from this place. Extremely disorganized and can't find your order. They at least need to develop a notification system letting you know your pizza is ready instead of just sitting in your car having no idea if your pizza is ready or not. Order was delivered then I called to tell them is was wrong and apparently if you put that you don't want a topping on your pizza they will put extra toppings and instead. Since being open they rarely have been available to deliver and the few occasions they have it was often a repeat rude kid whom must have quit or been fired seeing the app hasn't shown store available for delivery in a couple of months of just checking every few days. If a zero star rating was an option, I would give this location a complete zero. This location was the poorest and rudest spot I have been to. The manager was not helpful at all. In fact, she rolled her eyes at me after asking a question. Although this is my regular location, I chose to not continue coming. That is how bad I was treated. Walked in to order a pizza. The staff seemed more interested in acting like teenagers than actually doing their job. The most troubling thing I saw was an employee grab a green pepper from a bin with his BARE HANDS and place it in a box to be delivered. Thankfully I saw this. Hit or miss. Sometimes, it's takes over 90 minutes. Sometimes the order is wrong. Things have been better lately with delivery times. In the past, if I ordered a half and half toppings pizza order, it was more like 25-75 with the toppings. Drivers are usually courteous and friendly. read more

I had the Spinach Alfredo pizza and it was really good. The Buffalo Wings were good, not too spicy and had more meat on them this time, great with both ranch and blue cheese. Was supposed to be enjoying it by 8-8:10. 8:30 or so I got impatient and checked online to see that my order was cancelled. Called to see why and waiting a long time for customer service. Was told that order went to wrong store (?) and that it had been routed to proper store, who attempted to deliver to my gated area. Was also told they called me and couldn't reach me, and that the gate guard called me and couldn't reach me. Phone shows no missed calls. Gate guard tells me they have not come to the gate tonight. This is the worst Papa Johns when it comes to service! The first time I ordered it too 1 1/2 to get my pizza to me! I live 2 miles away!! After multiple phone call to cxl, pizza guy showed up! Had to call the store to reinstate order! Today, 4-13-16, I called for delivery. I placed order for two extra larges at $12 each, guy gave me a total of $44. Mentioned that online it was $12 and that I should order online. I Mentioned We had a storm last night and our internet was down. He suggested my phone! Really papa johns?? You receive an email from papa Johns that says 25-35 mins, but you arrive to pick your pizza up and it's another 40 mins! Unacceptable! The last two times we ordered "two topping pizzas" they were more like cheese pizza. We called the manager to let them know and were told that they premeasure the toppings and if you have two topping they put less pepperoni on the pizza. I placed a future delivery order for a pizza tonight, for a group of very hungry individuals. 10 minutes after the expected delivery time, I called to ask the status of the delivery. They said they were running a few minutes late but that it would be there within 10 to 15 minutes. I asked if I could get a discount or some kind of refund for the delay, which I thought to be a fairly reasonable request considering that I'd ordered a couple of hours in advance. They transferred me to the manager, who sarcastically remarked, "Oh, sure! Would you like me to just tell my driver to turn around?!" Done. So that's what it came to. I have ordered pizza from this location many times and have no complaints about the food quality. It's the honesty (or lack of) from their employees that is the reason for this review. On August 3rd I had a pizza delivered to my home and tipped the driver in cash. He apparently thought my tip wasn't enough (15%) and added another $1 to my credit card transaction. I didn't catch this until I received my statement and when I called the store manager to inquire why this happened, she was not only defensive of this employee but dismissive about the whole thing. I explained to her that yes, it was only a dollar, but I don't care if it was 5 cents, no-one adds any amount to my credit card without my authorization. When I suggested that she review the driver's other credit card slips to see if he has done this to other customers, she said that she couldn't unless additional complaints were received. (REALLY?) I asked to speak with the franchise owner but she refused to give me his phone number and instead advised that she would have him call me. It is now September 20th and I am still waiting for that call. If you have paid for pizza delivery from this Papa Johns and paid with a credit card, you might want to check your statement to make sure your tip wasn't inflated by the driver. read more
