I have been going to this locations for years and have to say it didn't ever meet expectations. the service, long waits and not seemingly concerned. But for my convenience and eventual good pizza I kept going back. I just want to say that for the last few months that seems to have changed. I think they have new management but the service and food has stepped up greatly. the new manager, Brandi, goes beyond to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied and will be coming back. I am a senior and she goes that extra step.... if the weather is bad she sees me drive up and delivers right out to my car. now that's service! thank you to the new team at Volente Plaza, Austin. keep up the good work! i ordered 8 pizzas to feed 30 people for my daughters' 2 hour birthday party. After waiting 45 minutes after the time it was supposed to arrive, I was told it would be another hour because they were short staffed. I expressed frustration, and the woman told me she was canceling my order and I would be banned from ordering from that location. I was stuck out and had no time to find a plan b. My DoorDash driver waited almost an hour and he said she left and locked the door. I was still charged for 8 pizzas. I drove to the location after the party was over, and it was closed. This was around 2 PM. I called another store, and they said I can send an email to corporate. As a single mom, 2 things I don't have is time and extra money!!! now I have to spend time I don't get a refund for pizzas I never received that I could barely pay for the first place. I'm absolutely livid. My daughter's party was ruined. I hope this entire location is shut down and that woman is fired. She literally had a mental explosion. I literally never leave reviews, let alone negative ones, but I need people to know how awful this location is. I've ordered from them three times, and all three times have not been good experiences. The first time, they made my poor doordasher wait almost two hours before canceling my order without explanation. The second time, I ordered four of the zesty sauces and they gave me one, so I paid extra money for nothing. There was also almost no cheese on my pizza and it was very soggy. Tonight, I decided to give them another chance, and once again, my delivery driver had to wait there for over an hour before getting my food, the pizza was burnt, and they forgot all of the extra sauces that I paid for. Also, I'm pretty sure they gave me thin crust even though J ordered regular. I think it goes without saying that I will not be ordering from them again. I'm usually a fan of papa john's, but if you want pizza, I would recommend going literally anywhere else other than this location. read more

Papa Johns is such a throw back pizza to me and reminds me of when I was a teenager. This was my first time at this location. Ordered over the phone and pizzas were ready within 30 minutes. When we walked in side the store was very clean and smelled yummy.The young lady helping us out was super smiley and friendly. Pizza tasted just like I remembered so that's a good thing. Disastrous Experience - Ruined My Son's Birthday I had an absolutely unacceptable experience with Papa John's that left my autistic son's birthday party in shambles. We ordered pizza to feed a group of special needs children, and the delivery never arrived. As you can imagine, this left the children hungry, crying, and completely deregulated, ruining what was meant to be a special day. All I wanted was a refund for the food that never showed up until an hour after the party ended. But the manager has been completely unresponsive to any of my requests. I attempted to go through corporate, but that was equally worthless. Frustrated, I decided to visit the location in person three separate times, and each time the store was in complete disarray. The manager was nowhere to be found on any occasion, leaving the employees to fend for themselves in a chaotic environment. It's no wonder they couldn't resolve a simple customer service issue like this -- the manager clearly can't even maintain basic operations at the store. The conditions inside were so alarming that I can't imagine what a food inspector would find. With no management oversight, I don't trust the quality of the food at all. I highly recommend that no one orders from this location. If they can't handle a basic order or maintain cleanliness, there's no telling what's going on behind the scenes. Judging by other reviews on here, it's clear this manager should be removed and Papa John's corporate needs to step up when their local managment can't handle something as simple as a customer refund. read more

For the store on North 620- the pizza was cold primarily because they delivered it 10 minutes before the app said they would and did not ring the doorbell. Just left it sitting on the stoop in 41° weather. I guess they expect you to just sit and stare at theapp. Also, the wings were the most pathetic looking things that I've ever seen. They literally took up only 1/2 of the box that they came in. They were so tiny. I really did not know chicken wings could be that small! Texas A&M is doing testing as i write this to make sure that they are a chicken species and not sparrows. Papa John's has gone downhill so fast and this store is at the very bottom of that hill. read more

Pizza is...fine. Papa John's quality, though pretty hit and miss sometimes. Real issue at this location is the dependability. Order from here regularly on Friday nights, and the pizza has been up to 60 minutes late some nights. Tonight, for example, I was told when I placed the order that it would be here 30 minutes ago. If I could give zero stars, I would! I ordered two pizzas to be delivered at a future time via their app. I know that the order went through because my credit card was charged. The delivery time came and went. No pizza. About 30 minutes after the scheduled delivery time, I called them. The first time I called, they picked up the phone and hung up. The second time, I selected the option to connect with the manager. Again, I got hung up on. The third time I called, they answered and immediately placed my call 'on hold'. I waited... and waited... and waited. I had to listen to the hold music for 3 cycles. Yes, that's right. After a few minutes, the call gets routed back to a ring. It rings and they immediately place me on hold again.... and then for a third time. I hang up, call back and again select the option to speak to the manager. They pick up the phone and I'm placed on hold yet again. So I call the corporate customer service number and speak with an agent. I tell him what happened and he immediately apologizes profusely. After he locates my order and sees that my card has indeed been charged, he said he'd call the location to find out the status of my order and call me back. Well, surprise surprise, he couldn't get a hold of anyone either. So he calls me back and says he's going to request a refund to my card and I'll get a call from someone in upper management within 48 hours. I refuse to order from this location ever again! As a vegan Papa John's is our only chain option. So on Saturday I downloaded the app and ordered. Every time my partner and I get pizza here it's always messed up. Once a few pieces of meat made it onto our pizza, they never put enough toppings on - even when I pay for 2xs the topping. This time I ordered an XL, got a M. I ordered a regular crust, got thin, ordered 2xs the veggies... got a handful. When I asked if it was an XL the cashier rolled her eyes at me. These guys were really nice and got the job done. They were timely and they usually have great deals going on. They did get our order wrong but quickly owned up to it and fixed the problem along with offering us a credit back for the pizza with the mistake. We got take out here. We did their deal of two medium pizzas at 13+. We upgraded one of them to large for $2 and added a ton of toppings and it was a decent deal. We also got buffalo wings. Everything cost about $26+. The sauces were $1 for 2. We got ranch as bonus, but they give you 1 garlic sauce for each pizza. The place was reasonable for the price. The customer service at this location is appalling. A driver knocked on the door to my apartment, handing me three small sodas and a receipt to sign. I went back in the apartment, and found out that no one here had ordered pizza. I returned to the door to let him know he had the wrong apartment, at which time the delivery driver actually had the audacity to get angry with me. GREAT experience. A young red headed boy delivered my pizza with excellence. What an amazing employee. The pizza was also top shelf and was told it was made with extra love, especially for me. The young man accidentally forgot my drink but went back and grabbed it for me without hesitation! Plus he drives a neat-o car! The pizza was still steaming when I bit into it, what flavour! It was scrumptious and satisfying. I've never been so into a pizza before! Might have slightly creamed my pants! The garlic sauce on the side also made the meal and Even better.
