The best and most consistent papa johns in the area without a doubt. Been there probably 50 times now and have only had one issue with an order. The issue was corrected and I got a free pizza. The only weird thing about this place is that no one ever seems to notice when I walk in to pick up my food for like a good 5 minutes. I decided to order myself Papa John's today since I was working across the street. I placed the order to pickup and it was ready ahead of time. I ended up being taken care of by the General Manager Zach and he was very friendly. I come to Allentown often and stay at a hotel across from Dorney Park and have tried to get delivery online, but was never able to. I told Zach about this and he said in the future to just call and he would take care of the delivery. Now to the important part of this review. I have to give this location . Besides the great and friendly service, the pizza was delicious and the sauce had a great tangy taste and a great kick to it with the toppings. I got a Large with pepperoni & Italian sausage to it. If you love, or even like a bit a spiciness to your meal, this is it. I have to highly recommend this location when in the area. So I ordered my food on yelp Dennis said I was gonna be here 45 minutes to an hour later well they stopped and they didn't have a room number at the hotel so they decided that they were going to leave luckily I called the front desk to ask where my if my food came and they said they left because I tried calling my number come to find out they put the wrong number down on their sticker on the box of the pizza and they're calling the wrong number instead of calling GrubHub and asking themIf they had the right number instead they decide they're gonna leave so I ended up getting cold food I was starving all day I was really hungry I waited till I got to the hotel to eat then all this happened and it took forever to get my food I paid $10 to get it delivered to me which is pretty wild especially when it took forever to get in all the mistakes that were made read more

I stopped here after a long day at Dorney Park. My nephew wanted pizza but I knew my stomach couldn't handle pizza hut on a 4 hour drive back home. We got two specialty pizza's which were only $12 each and they even used FRESH MUSHROOMS!! I think others use canned because these tasted great after a long day at the park. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the store and girl at the counter who took our order was super friendly. I will def be going back there every time we visit Dorney Park. Tonight was the first time we have ordered from them. Both of our pizzas were a little underdone and soggy. My husband called to let them know, and they sent us 2 new, perfectly done pizzas, plus 2 coupons for free pizzas. I am impressed. Dominos in Macungie should be very afraid. I swear, Papa John's must use twice the amount of cheese that Dominos uses. Edited to add: We've ordered from them 4 times now. The pizza is good, but the service is truly great. Papa John's has good crust and sauce, though a bit too much cheese for me. But the real problem is they cheat you on the meat additions. Pepperoni? How about 2-3 pieces per slice rather than the 6-7 pictured on the menu. Meat lovers? Forget it. Sparse meat additions. Papa John's ad claims do not hold up. Pizza Hut is way more generous. The problem seems not to be the local store. The problem appears to be the recipe amounts imposed by Corporate. Goodbye Papa John's. No more retries. read more

It is with a huge heartache on the evening of 7/15/15 that I must give a terrible review. I have had good experiences with Papa John's. The delivery time was SERIOUSLY wrong. I even called ahead to make sure the order was placed correctly. Here's the kicker- we told the driver we cancelled the order after too much time expired after the manager told us it was ready and sitting at the store. The manager called back to give us the pizza on them for their timing mistake but instead of actually giving us the pizza cold for free, he hung up on us instead. So we ate nothing instead. Sadly, very sadly, because we love papa johns pizza, we can't order from them again. :( read more
