We did try another local place never to return . Whether you call in person or ask for a delivery the service and quality of food is always delicious, freshly made and piping hot. I had Chicken noodle soup yesterday I do not normally have a starter but yesterday felt the need and we had some teeny tiny tasty spring rolls super tasty. Their Chicken Satay on skewers is a favourite of mine served with lovely fresh peppers and onions and a lovely spicy satay sauce and fried rice and plain chow mein not all eaten by I might add. And always delevered or served with complimentry prawn crackers.

Located by the end of the first exit from the Clyde Tunnel in Whiteinch, Sesame is my go-to source for Chinese food (particularly if I'm feeling lazy or hungover!) It's quite a small unassuming shop, but has plenty of tasty treats to offer. It offers all of the standard options you'd expect from a Chinese take-away and from my experience so far does them all really well. I'm a huge fan of their chicken noodle soup, so deliciously salty and comforting, and the dainty spring rolls, nice and crisp, which both get ordered almost every time. Other regularly ordered items include chicken chow mein or fried rice, orange chicken and shredded chilli beef, all very tasty. Their satay sauce is also particularly good and if you're ordering the full dish you have the choice of the meat on skewers or already in the sauce (my preference is on skewers). Between myself, family and friends I'd say we've been through at least half of the menu by now and haven't had a bad dish yet. You can also order via Just Eat and delivery is available, perfect if you're feeling uber lazy. So if you're out to the West of the West End then I'd recommend giving Sesame a try!

For now there is a Tesco Metro at Glasgow Airport and it's wonderful. I mean, wonderful in the way that only a Tesco could be (which is pretty damn average, if I'm being honest). I actively avoid shopping at Tesco as I find the experience too depressing, but I can't hate this one as it is so damn convenient. I'm a pretty organised person, and I'd arranged for our groceries to be delivered by our preferred supermarket (not Tesco, that's for sure) when we got home from the airport. Downside being that the delivery slot was 11am - 1pm, and our flight got in around 5.30am. So in I popped to tiny Tesco, grabbed a few essentials and headed to the check out. This store doesn't exhibit the kind of Tesco efficiency you might be used to, and you'll probably have to self check-out. No big deal though, because soon you'll be in a taxi on your way home having spent £30 on potato scones, rolls and bacon and feeling well smug about your impending breakfast/brunch and lunch. Note: yes, the prices do seem steeper here than your average Tesco.

But Tesco prices were fabulous- to give you and idea, I bought: crisps 1 pound, oatcakes 1 pound 9p, and some buns at 1 pound 65p. My carrier bag was a pretty strong one and cost me another 10p. There's a 20% VAT which cost me a whopping 18 p. You can also use your clubcard and earn Tesco points at the airport Tesco. All in all, if you need something at the airport, start here.

Still everywhere deserves a review, especially when it is the best local Chinese takeaway around here! Shanghai Delight serves up hundreds of Chinese takeaways every day and is always mobbed yet the food is always very good. I am not saying it is sit down city centre quality, but very few takeaways are. It is though very good at what it does do. Personal favourites are salt and chilli chips, salt and chilli chicken, chopped ribs in black bean sauce, beef Kung po, beef curry and chicken satay. None of these of course are advised as part of any healthy diet plan that I can imagine and are probably far from authentic. But they do taste very good. If you are up this way and fancy a Chinese feast then you should give this place a try.

Owned by a husband and wife who have lived here for year originally born in Hong Kong, the husband the head in the kitchen you sometimes hear chatting in Cantonese to the rest of his crew he never crosses over. Occasionally the wife is on the desk she very friendly speaks English but only to the punters. A couple times a year they will close for a couple of weeks where there take a holiday a go back to HK to visit family. Ok so the best dishes are Salt and chili chips, Kung Po beef, salt and chili chicken. A wee beef curry never hurts anyone! To be honest of i was ordering Chinese and Shanghai was closed I'd just go without. All or nothing!

I've been using Grow Wild for a couple of years now, and I can't fault their service. I get a box of vegetables dropped off at my front door every Thursday lunch time - completely stress free experience. Of course, the thing about organic box schemes is the element of surprise involved. You don't know what you're going to get in your box from week to week. It depends on whatever is in season and what is available from local suppliers. Some might find me a little strange, but I feel it's a little like Christmas every week when I open my front door with anticipation over what goodies I'm going to find in my box that week. It really does open your eyes to the the numerous different types of vegetables that are actually out there! Whoever said that being a vegetarian must be 'boring' (how wrong could you possibly bewhoever says this clearly doesn't know anything about the number of different types of veg out there)? I'm quite 'up' on my vegetables, but even I'm surprised when I get odd random stick looking things (salsify), mazuna, yellow courgettes and the most weird and wonderful looking vegetables known to man! Things that I've never ever seen in a supermarket before. It opens up a whole new world of cooking tooyou see what you've got in your box, Google the vegetables and see what random selection of recipe suggestions come up including the items that you have. If there's anything that you particularly don't like or don't want to receive in your box, you can just give Grow Wild a call and they'll tailor make your vegetable box to suit your requirements. I love carrotsbut was finding that I was getting so many of them week to week, that I was running out of inspiration and didn't know what to do with them all. No problemjust called Grow Wild and they arranged to just include carrots just every second week instead. If I've had any issues with the vegetables not being quite up to quality when I've received them, I've called them and they've included extra vegetables the following week, or given me a discount off my box that week as compensation. The boxes come in a range of sizes to suit different households, and include vegetable boxes, fruit boxes and mediterranean boxes, for example. Grow Wild can also supply dairy products, meat products, store cupboard items, eco-friendly cleaning products and toiletries, and much more. If you'd like to add any of these items to your weekly delivery, or include them as a one-off, they're happy to help. Grow Wild really are a great company to deal with. I love eating healthily, and the organic box scheme ensures that I'm able to live up to this aim incredibly simply. My diet's never been better, and I'm eating a greater array of vegetables than most people are aware even exist!

I loved it and always had fun running through the fields, hunting out the best strawberries and munching them as I went along. Of course, you weren't supposed to eat them before paying but sometimes when a giant strawberry is staring you right in the face, it's hard to say no. You get away with things like that as a kid, as an adult not so much. Boo. East Yonderton is a family run Renfrewshire soft fruit farm near Inchinnan, just beside Glasgow Airport. The farm has been growing soft fruit since 1926. During the fruit season the farm is open daily for picking your own fruit and fruit can also be ordered ready picked for collection on weekdays. The farm also grows Vegetables and Potatoes which are available most of the year. Ever since moving back to Glasgow, I've been meaning to go back again and today was the day. I headed here late afternoon and misjudged how busy it would actually be. The place hasn't changed much since the 1980s which isn't a bad thing. When you enter, you pick up green baskets which you keep and you follow the signs to the open fields. Even though I was here specifically for Strawberries, the farm also has gooseberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, peas, broccoli and potatoes. The crop is a little late this year due to bad weather so you could only get strawberries but one of the farm workers said the rest of the crops will be ready next week. One of the downfalls going to the farm late in the afternoon is that most of the visible big strawberries were gone and you had to hunt for the best ones. If you were a kid it would be like an elaborate treasure hunt, which it was when I was a little kid. As an adult, it was damn annoying. Once the crops are gone from one part of the field, the next section is open to ensure crops are fully picked and to stop waste. Even though there were signs saying "Do Not Enter" people were ignoring these and taking strawberries from the closed fields. Annoying for the farm workers on patrol and annoying for those who were playing by the rules. East Yonderton Farm is a fun trip out and you do get a sense of pride at the fact you are picking your own food and supporting a local business. If you do go, I'd suggest going in the morning so you get the best pick of the strawberries without it ending up feeling like an obstacle course. If you like obstacle courses, then go anytime you want! During the Soft Fruit Season (June-August) the picking fields are open Monday to Friday 10am till 8pm and Saturday & Sunday 9am till 5pm. The Farm Shop is open Monday to Friday 10am till 8pm and closed Saturday & Sunday during the Soft Fruit Season and outwith the Soft Fruit Season it is open every day between 9am and 6pm.

I emailed The Yoga Kitchen with an email along the lines of "SAVE ME!" and waited for their reply. So what is The Yoga Kitchen? As Lucy B has explained, they do home cooked meals delivered to your door on a Monday night. For one person it's £50 (depending on where you live, you might have to pay a delivery fee, and you pay a £5 deposit for the tupperware containers) and that gets you around 3-4 days worth of meals. The food is vegan/vegetarian and they will also take into account any dietary requirements you have, like gluten free. The menu arrives by email on the Monday with all preparation instructions (everything I've had has been super basic, like reheating on the stove/microwave or in the oven for less than 15 minutes) and they will text you to let you know what time they'll be at your door. I've found their communication to be amazing, especially when I've asked questions about the food ("what is this magical bar of deliciousness?" - re: a protein bar they included in my first order!). But the real question is, what's the food like? I'm not a super-fussy eater but of course there are things I don't like. Black beans, chickpeas, squash ... just to name a few. Last week I had black bean and mushroom burgers for dinner on the first night and they were amazing - seriously meaty tasting and delicious. There goes my theory I didn't like black beans. Last night I had a veggie curry with chickpeas and squash, and again, I really loved it. The food lasts well in the fridge and I find it really handy having delicious, fresh, nutritious food on hand to eat when I'm a bit short on time (and motivation) to cook for myself. I've also found the meals can actually feed two people, so the cost isn't really too bad. I've tended to split the dishes up for lunches and dinner and found that each portion is really generous, and if you can be bothered adding in your own sides (like rice) then it'll go even further. I love that The Yoga Kitchen exists, and really appreciate how good it is to get delicious food delivered to my door. It's like takeaway, but guilt-free! Amazing.

The really unique service they provide is a weekly home meal delivery service. They deliver awesome, super healthy, and delicious food straight to your door. Normally, there's at least 5 or 6 different items, designed to provide around 3 - 4 days worth of healthy dinners. For example, this week I have received a spinach and asparagus soup, a fennell and coconut tart, a sweet potato and pepper dal, a cannelllini bean salad and a pea, mint, almond and chilli dip. Oh and a wee extra of sweet chilli jam, because they know I love it! The dishes are really inventive, and I would never ever bother going to this much effort if I was making things myself. They even make salad amazing, which in my opinion, is quite a feat. So i'm getting much more variety in my diet and eating more veg and salad that I normally would. They've been great about my dietary requirements too which are primarily vegan and wheat free, but there's other bits and bobs I can't eat, and they've never made a fuss about this. The ingredients are from ethically and organically sourced ingredients where possible, which I also really appreciate, as this is the sort of thing I consider when cooking for myself, and there hasn't been a single dish that I haven't enjoyed. They also catered for my 40th birthday - just a small family gathering, and everyone loved the food. Even if it was super healthy and not your usual birthday party fare! It went down really well with everyone. I'm so glad I discovered the Yoga Kitchen. Being able to rely on them to deliver food that's good for me has really freed me up from being in the kitchen so much, and I would highly recommend them.
