Never got the right one and I had to toss the one I paid for since it had ingredients on it that I am allergic to and I couldn't find a Neighbor who wanted it. I visited this place for the first time yesterday. While I like their pizza and the staff was friendly I encountered a shock when I went to pay. What should have been $23 for a large pizza and 1 fountain drink (according to menu prices) cost me $29 and change. I was told that prices had gone up. That is a real underhanded way of doing business so I won't be making a return visit. If you choose to eat here, I would suggest getting a total at the time you order. Great food we really enjoyed it. My Grandma and I are here for lunch today. The service was great and the amount of food that you get is good too. If you leave from there still hungry after your meal that is your own dang fault that is for sure. It is just an all around great place to eat. I ordered delivery from Papa Gios tonight. I had the gnocchi with side salad and garlic knots. I also had a sweet tea. I was underwhelmed. It is obvious the food is not made fresh. The gnocchi was doughy and had very little flavor. The bread was a salad of tasteless and bland. The salad had one cherry tomato, one half moon slice of cucumber and lettuce. The best part was the pre packaged ranch dressing. Yummy. The sweet tea was instant not brewed. Save money and buy frozen at the grocery store--it will turn out better than this meal. read more

As a New Yorker, I can tend to be a pizza snob. I'm really picky about pizza. This pizza is the real deal. My only issue is with the delivery. It is insanely slow and somewhat unreliable. We ordered Pizza at 4:30 were given a 60 minute wait time and 2 hours later we had to call because we didn't have our pizza yet. When it finally arrived it was hot and good. In my opinion, the place was much better under the former owners. The order I placed arrived an hr and a half after ordering...and the order was wrong. Half the ingredients we're missing out of the wrap I ordered. Standard ingredients. It wasn't a special order. I messaged the restaurant about reimbursement or replacement and received no reply. If they would've at least contacted me back instead of ignoring me I wouldn't have been so upset although my food arrived way after my lunch break. The slice of cheese pizza was okay not crazy about it, it was bland I had to add salt to give it flavor. I do appreciate that they serve by the slice unlike all the other pizzerias in South Carolina. I ordered Garlic parm wings as well, just two words NEVER AGAIN! It was greasy, unseasoned, and nasty. I squeezed one wing with a paper towel and you should've seen the grease that came out. I would not consider coming here again. Ol dude was rude, I saw no one wash their hands not once, not even sanitizer. Ordered a Large Pizza from Papa Gio's. Delivery was 10-15 min late. When the delivery arrived I noticed that the pizza wasn't in a warmer. Opened up the carton lid to find a cold pizza. I was already pretty Hangry so took a quick slice out. First impression was "The sauce tastes like Ragu out of a can." There wasn't enough cheese on the pizza to balance out the taste of Ragu. Once the pizza was heated back up, the crust had a little crisp to it and it tasted a little better. Don't recommend their pizza. Haven't tried anything else on the menu yet, so cant speak for anything else. read more

The best pizza in South Carolina! I grew up in New York and I can say this is some of the best Italian food I've ever had. The white pizza is truly exceptional and I will never settle for anything less! Garlic knots are delicious and come in enormous quantity. The manicotti is better than my grandmothers and the eggplant parm is fresh as can be. The house salad dressing is the BEST house dressing that I have ever tasted. To top off the excellent food, the service is phenomenal! I feel like a part of the family and Papa Gio is always present and welcoming! At 8:15 pm, I ordered food to be delivered at 9:15 pm (I live 5 minutes from the restaurant). It showed up at 10 pm!! What is the point in allowing a person to specify the delivery time of their order if it doesn't show up in time? I called when it was 15 minutes late, and I was told to call back if it didn't arrive in the next 10-15 minutes. So I did. The person said something like, "Well, it's out of the store. He had 3 deliveries so it should be there soon." Which is what I was told the first time I called. So I asked if they could provide an estimate of actual delivery time. The person reluctantly called the driver to find out it'd be another 10-12 minutes. That's 45 minutes past the delivery time!!!!! When the food finally arrived, it food was completely cold. The pizza was soggy and the cheese had slid all over the pie so you couldn't see whether it had even been cut. Because it was completely cold, when trying to take a slice of the pie, the cheese was pulled off the surrounding pieces. Because the garlic knots had also cooled--basically steaming themselves in their Styrofoam container, they were dough-y as if they had been re-heated in the microwave. Horrible experience with delivery. Maybe choose to dine in if you dine here at all. read more
