Paola did a great job with my hair. I haven't had a good hair cut in so many years. My hair is very thick and there's a lot of it. She layered it beautifully and didn't need to unnecessarily thin or texturize it like I have had happen to me in the past despite specifically requesting that my hair not be thinned at the scalp. Now my hair feels so much lighter and more manageable and the layers frame my face nicely and evenly. I posted a before photo so the comparison is apparent. read more

I went to her once earlier this year for a trim, but wanted something completely different this time - I had vague ideas about layers to take off all the weight, and a bleach and dye with some fun color. Most of us girls struggle to find someone who can cut our hair but keep the length. I was very fortunate to find someone like Paola on a busy day. I called during the day and she luckily had a slot for me which I agreed to. Paola is very sweet and you can have a great conversation with her while she does everything. I loved my haircut! My hair is thick in general and was severely damaged with split ends, my hair was quite the task. Glad Paola was able to restore my hair and gave me beautiful layers. I highly suggest layers for anyone with very thick hair.(: Give her a call and make an appointment! Fairly affordable compared to other stylists. I watched her dye my hair many times and got brave enough to do it on my own! I've been getting my hair cut and colored with Paula for over five years!!! Came in to get highlights on my hair for the first time, and wow was I impressed. First off, Paola was very accommodating and was able to see me despite my last-minute appointment setup. While working on my hair she was super sweet and helpful, answering all my noob-ish questions relating to proper hair care and styling. I ended up also getting a men's haircut, which admittedly was average. But honestly, that wasn't what I came to her studio for (and I imagine her clientele's hair is usually longer than mine, so I understand it isn't her forte), so it didn't tarnish my experience at all. I went to a well known Salon in Burlingame for a number of years. I finally got tired of being unhappy with the inconsistentcy in cut and color. I work at a dental office and one of our patients always had a great haircut , so I asked where she goes. She directed me to Paola. I couldn't be happier. I love here originality and consistency in color. We always go over what the plan is and she won't let me do anything foolish . I absolutely love Paola! She's been cutting hair for my family for a few years now, and I wouldn't go anywhere else, my daughter, on the other hand decided to save a trip over the hill, we're in HMB, and went to another stylist yesterday (Sunday) who, instead of trimming 3 inches off her hair, chopped 12 inches off! I called Paola and text her a picture. She was as horrified as we were and came in on her day off to fix the mess the other stylist made. She went above and beyond and left my daughter with a huge smile instead of the tears she had hours before.
