So we ordered this place through grub hub! When the food was delivered, very timely at that, it felt like we were sitting inside the restaurant instead of our hotel room! They gave us fresh bread to start which was just perfect! We had garlic bread which had fresh garlic, a little too crispy, but still delicious all the same. The lobster ravioli was incredible! This was my first meal in Boston. My friends who live there said it was a must and took me the day I arrived. I had lobster raviolis and omg it was so good!!! My family and I were looking for a place to have dinner after seeing a show at the opera house. This cozy little spot, located in Boston's beautiful north end, was a gem to find. My brother made reservations and were greeted with a warm welcome and friend/engaging service. The location is right next to Saint Leonard's cathedral and not far from many little shops, including Mike's pastries. The food was served family style and was delicious! We got the special Spinach fettuccine, mushroom ravioli, squash ravioli, mushroom with goat cheese spring rolls and burrata all were served family style and tasted great. Me and a friend came here for dinner the other night. The waiters were nice. The restaurant was small which made it feel more homey. At first they brought out bread which was amazing. We both ordered sangria which was good but very strong. I got the beef and veal tortellini and my friend got the baked ziti. There was so much food we ended up being able to take half of each of our dishes home which was great. However I think the dishes were just okay. Compared to some of the other restaurants in the north end, this one's food was just okay. Great price for how much food you get and the bread really was fantastic but over all I think there are better Italian places in the North End. read more

Can't say enough great things about this restaurant. They called to check on the timing and numbers we were bringing and since it was a large group, and held a portion of the tiny restaurant for us. They were gracious, even though we didn't all arrive at the same time. The drinks and the food came out extra extraordinarily fast. For 12 of us, including a bunch of kids, we were served full unhappy within an hour, which was great because we wanted time to wander around. I had the chicken parm - delicious. My new favorite Italian place in Boston north end!! I've been to a few of the super highly rated / popular places but have liked Panza more. This is where I'd take people who are visiting. HUGE portions, great taste and great value! Must get: - lobster ravioli: WOW. The sauce is SO good. Whenever I get lobster ravioli I worry that it's gonna come out with like 4 pieces of ravioli that have no lobster taste whatsoever, but this place is different. Portion is HUGE. Lobster taste is distinct and delicious. I've ordered this twice, and each time we've used the bread to literally wipe all the sauce off the plate cuz it's so good! This was my favorite dish. Linguine Alla Pescatore - filled with tender seafood. Delicious red sauce that's slightly spicy. Loved it!!! Also got twice Baked ziti: the presentation of this dish is a feast for the eyes. Meatballs are also extremely tasty and savory. Definitely on the heavier side but fills that cheese and pasta craving I usually have when I go eat Italian food. Would probably skip the calamari. I second some of the things said about making reservations -- despite reserving a time we still had to wait a bit for a table as the restaurant had limited seating. Not as long as others, but it did make it feel like we didn't really have a table "reserved." However, the food was great! I got the spinach ravioli which was vegetarian. It is QUITE heavy as can be seen from the photo so even though the volume wasn't huge I took leftovers home -- not a bad thing necessarily, just not what I would eat most of the time. In Little Italy on a busy night, we were able to be quickly seated sans reservations (which is great!) The sangria was huge and only $10, so I would highly recommend their white sangria. Not spectacular, but everything was just ok in terms of flavor. Value is getting the most stars. As far as COVID precautions go, we interacted minimally with our server - who was masked. Had dinner here on a Monday evening with my two adult kids. You must make a reservation as it's a small rustic Italian space that doesn't hold more then 20 tables. I loved the decor: exposed white brick decorated with Italian pottery and raw iron chandeliers. We had to wait about 15 minutes even with a reservation but we honestly didn't mind as there was only one waiter for the entire restaurant and he was attentive to all and entertaining. To start we had mussels in a white broth and they were outstanding!!! Best I've ever had. They even toasted bread for us to soak up the delicious sauce. All the pasta meals we ordered were amazing! My son loved the carbonara and ate the entire portion which was very generous. My Panza chicken dish had the most amazing sun dried tomatoes and balsamic Marsala sauce! My friends and I came here and made a reservation at 5:30. Your entire party has to be present to be seated. Even though our party was late, they were still really nice about it and got us seated within a reasonable amount of time. The portion sizes here are huge. Between 4 people, we split 3 main dishes and 1 appetizer, and we walked away full and with leftovers! The food was also amazing. My favorite was the Linguine Alla Pescatore with Fra Diavolo sauce. It had so much seafood in it, which gave the dish it's umami taste. The sauce and the noodles were fantastic too, and I couldn't stop eating this. We also got the Baked Ziti and the Linguine & Clams with white sauce. The ziti was cheesy and flavorful, the meatballs juicy and tender. The linguine was delicious too. The clams were big and juicy, and tasted fresh. It mixed nicely with the white sauce, which was buttery and creamy and just really good all around. The spare ribs were really good too, although not as good as the pasta in my opinion. If you're looking for a smaller, cozier North End restaurant, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. read more

I went to this place for my anniversary dinner. Its a cozy place, the server directed us to a seating quickly. There were people who came after us, who had to wait. We ordered the Wild mushroom and goat cheese spring roll. I am not usually a fan of honey based sauces, but it went very well with the spring rolls. The spring roll in itself was good. We also ordered Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli, loved loved it. They make their own pasta, the sauce was extremely creamy with a little tanginess of sun dried tomatoes and pine nuts gave it a lovely crunch. If you are a vegetarian, please just go for it. I am a little disappointed with the service, the flatware were dirty, water was dirty, the whole service felt very very rushed, it felt like we gulped everything too quickly. After learning that Panza means "belly" in Italian it made clear sense why we left feeling so overwhelmingly full from our dinner. We were happy to have made dinner reservations at Panza as the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night. The space was tight so we were happy to be seated in the front corner. Their menu was reasonably priced , including their wine list. The appetizers were largely portioned making for easy sharing. The caprese salad had the option of being served with fresh or fried tomatoes... we did not regret ordering them fried! Our waitress recommended the white sauce with the mussels which was delicious. The mussels were huge! Both of our chicken and veal entrees were largely portioned. The waitress did not seem to even care if we left, even though we explained that it was my friend's birthday and we do not expect this long of a wait time with a reservation. I had also asked them to bring out something with a candle (they do a candle on a meatball, which is pretty cute). However, they entirely forgot to do this after I asked, much to our disappointment since this was a birthday celebration. This waiter even saw us waiting outside the entire time while serving the tables. We ask her how longer we need to wait again and asks us what our name is. Are you serious? If this is not poor service what is it? I understand that it was a busy Friday night because of the long weekend and orientation week. But we came from LA and made reservations 3 weeks ago. We had a blast the moment we landed to Boston but her attitude ruined our day. If a customer gives you the reserved time and date just go check and if there's a wait list just tell them to wait a few more minutes. It's not a big deal. A lovely spot in the North end! I've come here twice now and love their lobster ravioli - probably one of the best I've had. The cream sauce is perfect with the little tomato bits, and the filling is very satisfying. The interior of the restaurant is small so a little bit cramped, but it is bright and clean. We came here on a Friday night with a reservation and it was busy! Fried Calamari: can't go wrong with Calamari at any North End restaurant. It's so crispy, the squid is tender, and each bite is bursting with flavor. The lemon squeeze on top adds the perfect touch of zest. The portion was huge, in true Italian style. Butternut Squash Tortelloni: I loved this dish. I was looking for something not too heavy on the red sauce or meat, and this was perfect. Each bite is perfectly al dente, filled with savory butternut squash that had a touch of cinnamon and brown sugar butter flavor due to the sauce. The pieces of butternut squash in the dish were perfectly roasted as well. What a lovely fall dish! Linguine Alla Pescatore: This is a delicious seafood linguine pasta. The seafood was fresh, sauce was deliciously savory and tangy, and the pasta perfectly al dente. What more could you ask for? We took a few of my sister's friends out for Panza so I can't speak to what they ordered except for that it looked delicious as well. The free bread was bomb and the portions are huge, but the dishes we ordered were very mediocre. The linguine pescatore was kind of bland and the seafood was overcooked. The gnocchi special (gnocchi with braised short rib) had a delicious meat and the sauce was not bad, but the pasta was not even gnocchi! I got the Butternut Squash Ravioli. Such an excellent dessert-like dinner. Kind of a reconstructed pumpkin pie. Often people will get this wrong by throwing blue cheese in and throwing the whole flavor off - they did not make that mistake. The squash was maybe a bit large, but, delicious.
