The BEST fried chicken and potato wedges in town!! Nice side of hot sauce hits the spot. Pantry Fried Chicken has moved to the old Beef Burger on Gate Coty Boulevard. Fast and friendly service. Plenty of bright indoor seating. Order ahead on their app.

Great service and restaurant was very clean. Food was amazing, definitely a great surprise. I personally ordered the gizzards & collared greens. Which was seasoned & cooked to perfection . Manager also came by and made sure we enjoyed our food.

Let me first start out by saying I love gas station fried chicken. So when I stumbled upon Pantry inside the gas station, I knew it was a hit. I was a bit concerned when it moved to a brick and mortar, because sometimes that does change the quality of the food, just know that it is not the case here. I went at 9:40. I didn't realize they closed at 10, but the staff was super accommodating and we're working really hard to get the remainder of the orders out. There were about five people waiting when I arrived and placed my order. I'm always nervous ordering during closing because sometimes the food isn't fresh but mine was great. The chicken tenders were hot. The potato wedges were hot and everything tasted extremely fresh. The staff was focused on completing orders, but I also noticed that they were very clean and were cleaning up behind themselves as they went. I liked that. I definitely will be visiting again and glad that one of my favorites remains my favorite !

Good stuff. They have fried everything - chicken, fish, pork chops, jojos and okra. Got 2 drumsticks and a piece of fish. All were crispy without a trace of oiliness. Both were quite flavorful but not heavy. Coleslaw and fried okra were tasty and the cheerwine was refreshing.

I had the chicken a number of times at the other 2 locations, both in convenience stores. This is the first stand alone spot, located in the spot which housed Beef Burger for so many years. The interior has been modernized a bit, with a clean dinning area. There is no table service, but rather a cafeteria style line. They do everything chicken - wings, quarters, livers, gizzards, and a great chicken sandwich deluxe. They also offer pork chops , corn dogs, and fried fish as well. Sides include fried okra, potato wedges, collards, mashed potatoes, and cole slaw. This is very good food - I've tried almost everything except the pork chop, will get there soon on that. The chicken sandwich is outstanding, and I love that the livers and gizzards are never overcooked. The sides are very nice, especially the collards, wedges, and okra! Ambiance - 2.5 Food - 5 Service - 4 Value 4.5

Pantry Fried Chicken Restaurant Award-winning fried chicken. I enjoyed a plate of PFC's flavorful chicken, potato wedges, and fried okra. The chicken is crispy, tender, and tastes homemade! If you're looking for more than just chicken, they serve fish and pork chops too. The service was excellent. The owner Romany Barsoum worked for 14 years starting as a cook, then shift supervisor, then store manager, and now he owns his own franchise. What an amazing story! I like the architecture of the building. It's one of those unique buildings that creates a fun and authentic atmosphere. Nice space for all your family and friends to join you for a nice dinner of chicken an assortment of side dishes, and dessert. There's a lot of heart in this place.

I'm going to say this by far is the best fried chicken in the area. Big pieces of chicken, sides are seasoned and portioned. I ordered a 3 piece added a side, sides were coleslaw which was tasty, rich and creamy. Fried okra, was fried and seasoned well and portioned. For me not the best post workout after the gym but cheat days are needed. I give you guys a 5 for food, service there isn't a server. Realistic rating 4.6 to 4.7 all for food will be back for sure whenever I'm craving fried chicken, may try the fish, tenders or wings next.

The interior is very plain. The building itself brings the character. Hoping they spruce up the decor, but that doesn't take away from the real treat...the food. When you walk in, you will see the food display. The menu is above it. They had chicken quarter/legs, huge legs, wings and chicken tenders. I saw potato wedges, slaw, rolls and okra. I wanted to try a variety of things so I got wings, tenders, quarter leg, wedges, okra and slaw. The prices were very reasonable. The chicken was hot when I got home...about 13-15 mins away. It was seasoned pretty well. They offered sauce but I declined. Maybe in my next visit, I will try some. I didn't need much more than hot sauce. The wedges were really good. The okra was tasty. The chicken tenders are huge and very tender. If you need chicken for an event, you should try them. They offer large boxes. The one thing I regret was not getting a dessert. Gosh they looked so tempting. Everyone was friendly. I will definitely return!

As soon as we walked in they handed me a potato wedge!

We first learned about Pantry during Covid. A coworker shared this was his favorite place for takeout. We gave it a try and were hooked! We always got the $25 meal with 4 drinks. One day we went to order and we saw pantry was unavailable. We were so sad. We were so excited to see that not only was Pantry back, but it's in Greensboro on gate city near UNCG! We decided this was the night to check it out. They are in the old Timmy's location (their chicken was just toooo hot ) which previously was the Beef Burger location. It is like with each new owner the restaurant gets more and more updated! Inside it was clean, and bright. We were so excited to see even more menu options. Sandwiches! Corn dogs! Fish! But we got our old standby of the 3 breasts, 3 legs, large wedges and 4 drinks. There are on 2 of us so we got the 4 lemonades with no ice. We got it to go, and oh my goodness it was the best Pantry has ever been! Such good fried chicken. we didn't get dessert but the cakes looked good! The staff was so nice and offered me a potato wedge as soon as I walked in. Yum!!! So fresh! Big fan of Pantry and grateful they are now so close! They still deliver! And are open late!

If you are a Greensboro native or lived in Greensboro any time in the past 5 decades, Pantry Fried Chicken is located in the old Beef Burger location. Pantry Fried Chicken is usually housed in a Valero gas stations around the triad area. Serving fresh fried goodness such as fried wings, chicken, fish, livers and gizzards along with potato wedges and okra. This is the first brick and mortar location of Pantry Fried Chicken that I know of. One thing about Pantry Fried Chicken, they are consistent in flavor. Food always hot and fresh every time and every location I have visited. Customer service is fast and friendly. In and out. The restaurant was clean and quiet, nice environment to grab a quick bite. I ordered gizzards and livers mixed combo for a value of $8. The combo was a heaping serving of crispy gizzards and livers, huge potato wedges, a roll, and a fountain drink. As always, I had enough for later. I will definitely return whenever I'm in the area. I highly recommend if you are looking for hot fried goodness fast!

Some of the best fried chicken. I seen a couple people I follow on social media and they had high expectations for this restaurant. So we had to try and they were right. It was beyond delicious. We ordered 4 drumsticks with potatoes wages, dinner roll and a drink combo. Separately we tried the pork chop and a piece of fish. Fish was very good not a fishy taste. Everything was delicious, very well seasoned and fresh. I also got a slice of the lemon cake but they do have other cakes to choose from. They have many different options of good food to try at a decent price. Service was fast and friendly. There is a seating area but we decide to grab and go. Yes we highly recommend this location for some good fried food.

So gave this place a try. Probably not going back. Stood there waiting to place my order, and felt ignored. 3 men were working, you'd think one of them would say "I'll be right with you ma'am". So after waiting a few minutes at the counter, one of the guys finally came over, very dry. He seemed to be annoyed while I was trying to figure out my drink choice as I don't drink sodas, and that seemed to be all they had aside from tea, which I was actually on a fast from. So I decided on lemonade, which was pretty good. Getting back to the food. The food was piping hot, the wedges were great, but the wings should've been fried a little bit more. They were too soft which made the chicken a little mushy. If I decide to go back, I'll ask that they fry my wings hard so there will be some kind of skin or crust on them. Not really sure what to make of the ambience because I got my food to go.

The food was flavorful & tasty. At first looking at it. I didn't think much of it but the fries and chicken are good and i would come back. The service was good and the place looked alright. I would try other things

My husband and I were in downtown Greensboro on a Saturday afternoon and decided to hit this place up for lunch. When they called the place The Bodega, they really mean it's a bodega. It's decked out like a small convenience store from the second you walk in. We ordered our food at the cash register to eat at one of their tables outside. The cashier brought our sandwiches out about 10 minutes after ordering. I ordered the Turkey Caesar. It had turkey, shaved parmesan, marinated cherry tomato, house-made Caesar dressing, onion, and romaine lettuce in an 8" sandwich roll. It was a little pricey at $15, but it was worth the splurge. The dressing and parmesan cheese were unbelievable! Since this is in downtown Greensboro, there is no dedicated parking lot but we easily found street parking nearby. Upon walking in the place appeared clean, the customer service, not the best. But maybe someone was having a bad day, I get it. I'm so glad I did check my bag before I left because they did not give me ranch or plasticware, man I would have missed out on some amazing ranch. The young man gave me three ranches which I'm so disappointed I only grabbed one. Unfortunately I didn't get the best pictures but the food tasted great. The fries were thick cut (probably frozen) and let me tell you, I would just come back for the ranch! They have my favorite restaurant ranch. The slaw was really tasty - good ole southern sweet mayonnaise slaw, not too vinegary. The sandwich, not bad, good combo of toppings, they paired well together. I' ll be back. Anyone want to go for a patio lunch? Ciao for now
