Ordered food from here last night.... Writing this review as I eat their deeeelish pizza for breakfast! So. What did I get?? A large pepperoni pizza and small ham and provolone grinder with oil and mayo, very well toasted. I've been on a mission to find great pizza in Groton that delivers and this might actually be the closest to what I'm looking for. The pizza really was a true, large, Greek-style pie. They didn't skimp on the pepperoni (which was a bit on the salty side- but in a good way) but it could have used more cheese. The crust was amazingly crunchy and everything was cooked to perfection. The grinder on the other hand? While they didn't skimp on anything- I had requested VERY well toasted. This thing came to me as a big, soggy mess! The bread literally felt like it was left in water before being wrapped up and delivered. All in all- I would order their pizza again but not their grinder. The prices are on par with other local places here but they did have coupons delivered to my mailbox, which I happily used :-) Give their pizza a try! Just let me say that the quality of their food is "off the chain" and the taste was D E L I C I O U S A for sure. My husband and I ordered delivery last night, we called at 8:45pm, they close at 10pm, took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive. Had to call twice to make sure they were still coming since they showed up after 10pm. I got an antipasto salad, it was thrown together with very little meat and they gave me the wrong salad dressing. My husband got chicken fingers and fries, the fries were soggy and the tenders were burnt. Horrible delivery experience and a complete waste of Money. We were very disappointed. read more

Panos pizza is by far the best place for Grinders! We have them at least twice a week! When I was a kid there was a little grinder shop that made awesome Grinders, I never imagined I would find an equally perfect grinder!!!! The staff and delivery persons are excellent!!! Three stars for food, negative stars for covid safety and customer service. Tonight I walked in to pick up my takeout order, there is no sign to wear masks at the door. I had to wait for my food since no one was working the counter. The cooks had no masks, the grub hub delivery driver waiting in a booth for his order had no mask, a man came in to chat w another man who was seated in another booth eating a salad, had no mask. I looked at the standing man and he sauntered over and grabbed a bag of chips and casually ate one at a time while standing continuing to talk to the seated man. Eventually the seated man got up, went behind the counter to ring me out w no mask. I thought he was a customer, not the owner, especially how long I stood there waiting for someone to ring me out. So obviously he saw me to whole time in the restaurant and continued to talk with the other man knowing I was waiting for food. Too bad they have no regard for safety or service. As they stop taking delivery orders at 8:30PM, no exceptions because they close at 9PM, The antipasto has quite the amount of meat as well as the tenders are always checked. If you had such bad food, you could have called to have it corrected the next morning. As for the food here, I have had plenty, The only complaint on food is the plain cheese pizza is too greasy. Mind you any of the specials or if you add toppings decreases this. The dough is hand made daily, so yes there is only one type, but still good none the less. My favorites are the antipasto, (a go to for me) the spicy tenders, steak fries, and the rice pudding. Now my complaints, prices have gone up, I mean you could order two pizzas from Domino's for the price of one here. (But Domino's is just thin cardboard) The delivery fee goes to the store (owner) and not the driver, as well as that pig on the counter that is marked "Tips" Goes to the store/owner, and not his staff for their hard work. No where is this mentioned on who gets it. Bad business on his part for this. For this reason, I tip well when I order delivery, or hand it directly to the staff when possible. A tip for you, when ordering delivery, do not forget to tip, and ask if they are busy, this will give you a sense of just how long it might take. read more

So I called to ask what could be done about it since it was obviously paid for and I forgot the tip. I was put on hold for an unusually long time and then told "We'll call you back." The spaghetti is amazing and the portions are huge - two meals worth in one at least. The salads were also very good and the meatballs are addictive. Have only tried a few of the subs which were also very good. All in all its a great place to eat, plus delivery is always a plus. If you order the "spicy wings" and are hoping on spice, you'll be sorely disappointed. The wings were awesome, (nice texture, fried to perfection) but there was no spice at all. Looking for a quick lunch in Groton on the way to a meeting. In driving through Groton - parking seemed to be tough at other locations - so Panos parking made the difference. They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and pizzas. I had a small Greek salad which was more than enough for lunch. Vegetables were fresh and tasty - real feta and kalamata olives. My wife and I were looking for a change from our usual pizza place. We tried Pano's two times. The first time they forgot one of the three items we ordered, and came off as accusatory when we called them to ask about it. The food we did get, however, was pretty good. We always start simple, so we ordered a large pepperoni pizza. The sauce wasn't quite as flavorful as I usually like, but every other aspect of the pizza was quite good. The second time our order took 108 minutes to arrive. After about an hour (we're fairly patient) we checked the time we placed the call, and then checked again when it got here. The pizza - this time with onions) was cold, and didn't stand up well to a reheat. At this point we were hungry enough to force down a couple pieces, and trashed the rest. I'm a fairly forgiving consumer. I'll likely try dining at Pano's at some point, since the pizza is actually pretty good when it's fresh and hot. This place is in my neighborhood, it's been open for about 2 years I think. I get take-out from here pretty frequently. Pizza here is unbelievable. The house special is their "loaded" pie and it is LOADED! I can't eat a small one by myself. The large is $17 and it is huge. All the ingredients you can immediately tell they are fresh. EVERY pizza I have gotten here looks unbelievably perfect, it looks almost fake. I didn't think the restaurant would last in it's location because few things rarely do. But they seem to be doing well there, always people in and out when I'm there. The place is very small but it is immaculately clean. A couple of booths if you want to dine in, with a couple of nice flat screen tv's in the overhead. I haven't tried their entrees yet but they have comfort food type entrees like hamburger steak with fries or fried chicken. Their sandwiches are very good too. PS - I just had the "Spartan" pizza tonight. Ham, tomato, green pepper, fetta and mottz with lots of garlic. It was out of this world. I am very happy to have a great pizza place so close. I order a simple pepperoni calzone and a small garlic bread. And a small side of fries. It took over an hour to get to my street and then another 5 minutes to find my house even after I was on the phone with the driver giving directions. In the end my fries and bread we're cold. The calzone was warm and everything still tastes pretty good. The taste was the only reason to give it two stars. If I have to sacrifice some taste for the speed of other places and warmth of food I will 100% order somewhere else. read more

I live in Boston and have family in Groton my wife and I visit every now and then. this place is a gem in disguise. My wife and i split a large mushroom and pepperoni pizza. We waited about 20 minutes, but the owner was very friendly and it passed by quickly with the flat screen TV hanging from a wall mount. It was worth every minute. We have not had pizza like this in Boston. I'm a pretty tough critic but I must admit from the tasty sauce, to the bread being slightly crisp and crunchy just the way my wife and I like it.
