Super small & cute place near the Vatican. I wouldn't say it's off the beaten path but the prices sure are. Ordered the porporino vegetarian sandwich. Nice pickled flavors however the bread was way too hard to eat. I couldn't even manage to take a bite of the sandwich so I ate all the toppings and put the bread aside. Once I did that I noticed the ratio between bread and toppings. Way too much bread and too little toppings. I mean I know it's Italy and all but that bread was impossible to eat. On the bright side, it was fresh but it would pair better with soup or something else. My friend ordered a salad and all the ingredients looked fresh and the olives were great! I also ordered a fresh juice. Super small cup but they juice it right in front of you. I ordered the kiwi, celery and I swapped out the melon for apple. Interior is super cute! I took pictures of almost everything haha. Extremely friendly and observant staff. A light meal for 8 euros, you can't beat it, especially in Rome. 3 stars only because I didn't get to enjoy the sandwich at all because of the bread. They do have 5 star rating on trip adviser so maybe it's worth a try again. read more
