Sangiovese sandwich - almost a month later & I'm still thinking about this sandwich
Kasey F.

Top meal & hospitality a must try! The Sangiovese sandwich was heavenly! The bread was perfect, light and crisp. The mortadella was so light and delicate with the nutty cheese, freshness of the arugula & the balsamic was perfection. Sit at the counter & do a happy dance that you found the perfect sandwich.

Left sandwhich is Ribolla and right is Campano.

Very good sandwiches! The Ribolla has Turkey with good flavor. I added fresh tomatoes to the campano sandwich.

The sandwiches are amazing, and the hospitality was even better. The owners speak multiple languages and are very friendly to tourists. After explaining the different options to us, they recommended something they thought we would like and it was incredible.

The front of the building

The sandwiches here are INCREDIBLE. The service was accommodating and the owner recommended his favorites. Very authentic and inviting!

Super friendly and a delicious sandwich in the afternoon shade near the Vatican. Definitely worth it!

Best sandwich I've had in Italy! I went back for lunch the next day after trying it for first time! The owners operate the shop and are so kind, friendly, and helpful. If I was in Rome longer I would go get lunch there tomorrow. They were very helpful in recommending their favorites. They also brought out cheese for us to try as well as to meats native to Rome. It was very affordable and well worth the price. The environment is also so great got to talk to some locals while in the shop as well. Overall one of my favorite experiences eating on my trip. PS if anybody rates this one star you're crazy.

Porchetta panini with chicory, percorino romano, and chili oil.

After leaving the Vatican I was looking for lunch and I came across Divino. After waiting in line for a few minutes, it was my turn to get my hands on a porchetta sandwich which the staff helped me pick out. Loaded with yummy pork and fresh pecorino, this was the bomb. I finished it no questions asked. Just an amazing way to fuel up for an afternoon of touring Rome.

Was an excellent quick stop lunch grab. As their sign says they are not a restaurant but street food. You can sit if you are lucky enough to get a table outside. Service was quick and felt like they weren't thrilled with us non Italian speaking tourists at first but they seemed to warm up to us and genuinely made great food. Wouldn't hesitate to happily eat here again.

I don't even remember what I ordered but it was incredible

This place is legit -- so good and the staff is incredible. Manuela helped us along with a gentleman but we did not catch his name. Easily the best panini I've ever eaten. I loved that it was a little further away from the touristy area. Felt very authentic - don't miss it next time you're in Rome!

The gal is so much fun and the food was fabulous! Not a lot of seating inside or outside but that's kind of the charm of it.

Best panino! Get the porchetta and a glass of the house white wine. We went twice in 3 days because it was so good.

When I arrived there was no line, so maybe I got lucky, just one couple in front of me already inside the shop. Take a number and wait your turn. It's worth it. Sandwiches are made on pizza bianca, a crisp and chewy flatbread native to Rome. They will fill your sandwich with whatever you like, and then weigh the sandwich to price it out. I got mortadella, stracciatella, pesto and sun-dried tomatoes. The sandwich was phenomenal, so delicious and memorable that I recreated it when I got home to the US, bread and all. The sandwiches may seem simple but the ingredients are the best around which really takes things to the next level. Don't miss it if you're in Rome.

We got the Bobby flay (porcheta, stracciatella, pesto) with sun-dried tomatoes and a mortadella sandwich with stracciatella cheese and pesto spread. Both were good sandwiches, but I felt like the meat and cheese to bread ratio is off. One sandwich had too much filling while the other had too little. That said, both sandwiches were tasty.. and after waiting an hour, I had high hopes but unfortunately it just didn't wow me. Service was excellent though.
