I was able to have gluten free spaghetti. Yeah!!! I took my time to savour my food. The meat sauce was not too garlicky and was a definite compliment to a baked mozzarella topping. My meal was a 10 with an accompanying strawberry Italian fizzy drink. My partner had the same dish as myself but had provolone cheese and two tennis sized meatballs. He finished all his food, which is something rare to see. I took my leftovers home because it was a too large portion to finish for me. Glad that we found this place that's walking distance from where we stayed (106 Ave) for the trip in Edmonton. We ordered salad and two pizzas, the food was fresh and tasty. Walking to our friends car after the football game we came across Panini's and all we could smell was their delicious pizza oven so we decided to stop in and have a bite. This place is a well oiled machine! They had a ton of staff in the kitchen and a good amount of servers for this smaller restaurant. We initially ordered at the counter for take out but decided to sit down and eat afterwards. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We ordered some pasta, pizza, and paninis. All of the food was well seasoned and delicious. The pasta is a generous serving size and for $13.50 I was very happy with the prices here. Since we came on a Friday they had $4 Peroni's as the special so that really was great too! They have other weekly deals so make sure to check them out online before you decide which day to go. Overall, the prices, the food, and the service were all top notch and I would highly recommend to check this place out if you're ever in this area. It's a short walk from the coliseum too! read more

That was a fine lunch. I ordered the Explosion panini and my wife had the Italian Sausage pizza. My sandwich looked small at first but it was very filling. It tasted fresh and full of flavour. I tasted my wife's pizza - just one or two slices - and it was good too. The crust was freshly baked. It wasn't as unique as the sandwich but they made a common pizza very well. We ordered brewed coffee and the refills were included so that really pleased us. It's nothing fancy inside but the decor was bright with the big windows and it seemed to be clean. Parking right out front is free for an hour but I'm sure that in this area we'd be good for 90 minutes or more. The service was very friendly. I will certainly return for another panini as some others looked very interesting. We might try another pizza too. Fresh ingredients make all the difference. The prices are reasonable and perhaps even a little below average. My panini was $12.00 in 2022 so that's definitely a good value. As we walked out we stopped by the freezer near the door and saw these interesting cups of something. The server came by and enthusiastically explained that it's a caramel coffee semifreddo ice-cream. The owner behind the counter then told the server to give us a free one. We gratefully accepted it and after one spoonful in the car we realized that it was a trap. It's so delicious that we had to walk back and buy two more. They were laughing while we paid. So if they offer you a free caramel coffee semifreddo, be warned that you could be hooked as it's incredibly delicious! read more

I have ordered more than 20x from this place through Uber Eats and Skipthedishes and have asked parmesan cheese on the side for pastas a bunch of times. I have never been charged until today. It is not that i do not want to pay for it. My point is, what's changed now? I called the restaurant and the manager basically said that the people who handled my orders in the past were at fault and started lecturing me about cheeses and what they use and where they get it from and the expense on the container blah blah blah. This is a little known place is a great Italian gem. I have driven by here so many times and not bothered to stop. Now I am so glad I did. The atmosphere is cool but not super comfortable for lounging and talking. Chairs are super uncomfortable. Good wine, beer, and coffee product menu. Our server was polite and efficient. A good selection of pastas, pizzas, and paninis. I decided on the gnocchi with pesto and my friend went with the panini. We also decided to split the bruschetta. All food came out in a timely manner. The bruschetta was beautiful and plentiful. Just the right amount of garlic. My gnocchi was amazing! This is my partner and i's favourite pizza place. It's in a great location (very close to us) but it's also great quality. The crust is always perfect. We like the Italian sausage one and the prosciutto arugula ones! Definitely add the lemon dill sauce! It's usually very consistent although the last few times we have gone the prosciutto has been very thick and not great. But the service is amazing especially with the deals! Atmosphere is a classic pizza diner style place and it's usually very busy which is a sign of a good spot! Highly recommend! read more

Parking can be hard to find here but apparently they now have parking on the west side of the building, looks like about 5 stalls. This place is nothing fancy on the inside, limited seating, but I'm guessing their main biz is takeout or delivery. My wife and I shared a Calabrio pizza and gnocchi with housemade pesto. The pizza was tasty, I would prefer a bit less chewy of a crust, but the quality of the toppings was good. The gnocchi was just ok, wasn't as much flavour as I would like and the gnocchi was a bit more chewy than I'm used to. I wouldn't order to again. Adequate service. read more

This place is so awesome! The menu has so many different options to try. From healthy sandwiches/salads to almost every Italian dish. We had pizzas that tasted authentic and used fresh ingredients. Paired with prosecco was the bomb! Cute vibe inside and patio outside if you want to dine in. The service was top notch and organized.They looked super busy with to go orders so that's an option too. I'd driven by this spot so many times, wondering if it was any good, and yesterday, after a semi-crummy day, I saw some folks sitting outside at one of their patio tables. As it was a glorious fall day, I decided to enjoy it. I ordered an Explosion panini (spicy!) with some spicy meats, mozzarella, provolone and a sweet pepper mayo. Also a blood orange San Pellegrino and an individual tiramisu. The panini arrived all lovely and melty and was just what I needed. It was DELICIOUS! I was fully prepared to be underwhelmed from some of the reviews here, but I did not have that experience. The tiramisu was also fantastic, and the patio was just what the doctor ordered for my months and months of captivity inside. Will definitely be back! read more

Still kinda confused there. Anyways. Pizza, decent. Eat it fast or it tends to get a little soggy. Calzones? Although my favorite, I DO NOT recommend them. I can pretty much guarantee you that they will be soggy and (sorry) gross within 5 minutes of hitting your plate. Even the take out calzones get soggy and there's not enough paper/ cardboard to help that. The pasta is not bad actually. Although if you're ordering the meatballs, they're quite large. Tasty though. All in all, good service and tasty food. Although I do recommend they upgrade to a bigger brick oven for their pizza and calzones and for heavens sake, sauté the moisture out of your vegetables or something. Please! An anti-mask friend called at the end of the masking mandate and recommended Panini's for pizza. Ever since the Flamingo closed to make way for the non-existent LRT, we've been searcking Edmonton for good pizza. My friend's recommendation was suported by Yelp Reviews so we made a date with friends for a pizza evening. With all due respect to my friend and all Yelpers who tested Panani's before us, we were all disappointed. The first problem surfaced when we waited 35 minutes aafter arrival to get our pizzas. Pizza is fast food and Panani's does nothing to dispel the fast food label by serving the taeout and delivery markets. Panini's further advances its fast food categorization with limited in-restaurant seating capacity. True to the fast food genre, what seating exists is grossly uncomfortable (to prompt the customer to leave as soon as possible) like all hamburger or chicken franchises. I have an arthritic back which, in combination with the truly awful seats, made me cranky by the time our food arrived. The pizza itself was tasty enough. My choice was the Calabrese pizza, promised to be spicy and Panini's delivers. Too many Edmonton estaurants consider a faint hint of capsicum to be worthy of the title spicy. Unfortunately, the Panini's pizza is thin crust, no choice. Panini's only concession to thick-crusters is a huge thick roll of dough arount the outside. I like a thicker crust in the middle of my pizza because the first slice of a hot thin crust pizza droops like wilted lettuce, making it impossible to eat without a knife and fork. The serving staff are friendly enough but are rushed off their feet on a Saturday night. Perhaps the take out experience is better but dine-in was definitely underwhelming. read more

Came here for my grandmothers birthday and had a great time. Not exactly a formal sit down restaurant but a good place for a small group to gather for some decent Italian good at a decent price. Also have a cute patio and a great view of the river valley. It is normally a cafe style serving where you get in line and order your food and then sit down, but upon request they were able to come to our table of 6 and take orders like any other restaurant.
