We just moved here this summer. We had a ton of options in the large city we moved from and I've also eaten at some famous PNW places when we lived in that area too. Cone and Coffee is every bit as good as any of those places from the larger cities. We have really loved having this shop in town since everything closes so early and they are open later in the summer. The first month we were here we came several times a week. We love riding our bikes from our house along the river and stopping for ice cream at the end. Every time we have visitors I take them here and all our family/friends have raved about the amazing flavors. My kids love the cookie dough ice cream. I love their non dairy and have eaten all those flavors. Straw lime cado and Coconut with chocolate ganache were definitely my favorites. Their waffle cones are so good too. And the prices can't be beat! All their employees have been friendly, helpful and kind. Many times we've gone on the weekends and they've been out of flavors and cones, but that's just the norm in Sandpoint at the moment. There's a shortage of supplies/workers/everything here and so it's just better to have compassion and patience while tons of new people like myself move in (plus the tourists) and keeping up with demand is difficult. read more

My husband and I had he pleasure of experiencing this cute fantastic ice cream and coffee shop. They stay open late in the summer and it was fun to have a sweet treat late at night. I had Honey and Lavender ice cream in a cup and it was surprisingly super yummy! It was refreshing! My husband had the salted caramel with coco nibs! It was fantastic! So creamy and just perfect! The waffle cone were soft but still crunchy (not like the other waffle cones I had, that tasted stale). I got a split scoop of the "Smores" and "Huckleberry" ice cream. Let me just tell you, that combo was the best I ever had! The smores even had mini marshmallow in it. The price is reasonable and customer service were exceptional! I'm from Seattle and everyone raves about Molly Moon ice cream. I do have to say, Pan handle ice cream beats Molly Moon in my books! I have been to lots of different ice cream shops after Portlands Salt and Straw, found several with good ice cream but none that were quite as good until now....Their ice cream is amazing, so creamy and the complexity of flavours is amazing, I had the pistachio, date, black pepper and the chocolate orange, both so good, couldn't choose a favourite. It was evening time and my tummy was craving some sweets big time. I yelped desserts and found this place and decided to give it a try. The server allowed me to try several flavors and the hardest part of my experience was choosing only two. I'm pretty overweight right now, and I've been attempting to change that- if it wasn't for that I honestly would have had a scoop of everything. I ended up with one scoop of vanilla, and one scoop of dark chocolate. I was literally in Heaven. When I got to the last few bites, I started to get sort of pissed, because I knew it was coming to an end. This place makes all the ice cream and all the other stuff in house, and it's legit. We tried to come here today but it was "maintenance day" so they were sadly closed. As we were peering inside at the cool decor, the owner saw us and came smiling to the door. He invited us inside for an exclusive tasting. The ice cream was unbelievable. Being from the bay area where there are tons of exclusive boutique ice cream shops, this ice cream topped them all. And the best part was that the owner was so friendly and nice that he was willing to go out of his way to make sure we had a good experience. Had the pleasure of visiting this place on my last visit to Sandpoint. I did not try the coffee but I definitely tried the cone! They had a whole wall of handmade artisan ice cream creations. From the very decant chocolate varieties to the more eclectic wild honey and lavender, these ice cream concoctions are a true treat. My husband tired the chocolate orange, which he said was fantastic (personally, to me, the combination of chocolate and orange is quite possibly the nastiest thing on the planet, but that's just me). I really enjoyed the wild honey and lavender, which was sweet and creamy with just a slight hint of lavender so it wasn't too floral. The prices were reasonable and the staff was super friendly and let you try as many of the varieties as you would like. It appears that they also make pastries too but we went there in the evening and all the backed goods were long gone. I would definitely stop in next time I am passing through the area! read more
