We ordered a hot…read morewater, and a drip coffee. first of all they charged us $3 for a hot water, which is outrageous; never seen a coffee shop charge us for a hot water before. Next, 20 minutes later we saw the owner make a hot water and drip coffee, then place it to the side, and begin a new order. My mom walked over and asked "this is mine right? we ordered a hot water and a drip coffee" and she goes "yeah but i have to check it." Both our items were there which we watched her make. 35 minutes have passed now and we say "we've been waiting 35 minutes and it's a hot water and drip coffee. we watched you make it, it's right there. can we have it?" and the owner looks us into the eyes and says "yeah! when you order, you wait." Absolutely ridiculous experience over what should have taken MAYBE 20 mins tops because that's when it was made. why did it sit there for 15 minutes?? pricing was also ridiculous for drinks in idaho. i think this place is the most expensive i have seen in sandpoint for coffee. p.s. responding to the owner - i don't remember saying in my review that we had ever cut the line or grabbed drinks from their bar. the barista literally confirmed that our order was ready and still refused to give it to us. why taunt the customer by forcing them to stare at their order on the counter? "checking it" meant leaving it there for 15 minutes without doing anything to it before handing it to us.

Though they charged only 50 cents for flavor for one drink? Where's the consistency? I'm confused. We're from Los Angeles and this kind of pricing in Idaho is absurd. Coffee was good, however. But pricing of this kind in general for alt milk and flavoring is just ridiculous.

Well, turns out it is no longer a coffee house, except that they do serve drip coffee, but I was told that they used to. However, the inside is warm and cozy With a touch of dive and a ceiling full of tchotchkes. It looks pretty cool. Despite looking like a dive bar, kids are welcome and the server was very warm and friendly. We were only there for an appetizer and a drink while waiting for our Thai food to-go order to be cooked around the corner with a 45 minute wait. The four of us ordered the Caesar salad and my son, the chicken strips. We were in for the surprise of our life. We discovered the best Caesar salad ever made. Ever. I'm not sure how they do it, but it was so delicious we all said we'd come back just for that salad. My son reports that the chicken strips were also really good. We just never would have expected the great quality of food we were served here in this "dive bar". The beers we had were also really good. I unfortunately do not recall the names, but my wife, oldest daughter and I all loved our drinks. We are so glad we ducked in here on a cold night. It made for a type of progressive dinner and we discovered something exciting that we look forward to returning to.

Terre Coffee is a local coffee shop chain. They're more into the "artisan hip" rather than…read more"corporate" vibe. I'm not a huge coffee guy, so I couldn't tell you whether or not the coffee was good here. But my wife is a huge coffee person and she says that the cold brew especially is really good. I usually get a tea when I come in and the teas have all been quite good. The main things that bring this location down to four stars are: indoor seating, parking lot, and prices. First up... there isn't a lot of indoor seating, and it's also not super "cozy" like I want it to be. If you're looking for a place to sit down curl up and read your book while sipping on a coffee on a rainy afternoon they will probably be an open seat, but it's not going to be a comfy open seat, and they will probably be a bunch of other people around. Second, the parking lot is really weird. Half of it is on one side of the building the other half is on the other side of the building it's confusing on how to get in and out of and whether or not you're going into the right side. Last... The price. Look, I'm sure owning a small business is tough to try to turn a profit. But coffee and tea just shouldn't be this expensive. I think I might have to make a rule for all coffee shops that no coffee shop can get five stars unless it's not super expensive. I do want to say before I go, that everyone who works here is super friendly and welcoming. I've really appreciated the people who work here every time that I've been in. They're also really great with my kids, and I have four little kids, and it's a nice touch when you bring them into establishment where people are cool and treat them well. But it's a really nice local coffee shop. Definitely worth checking out.
