I went in to get a sweet pastry today and I was thrilled with all the great choices. I got a chocolate croissant which was so flaky. I was in heaven! There was a short, 5 minute wait in line. All the tables were packed since it was close to lunch time. There are so many sweet delicacies along with the sourdough bread choices. Plus they have coffee, fresh organic produce, and hard to find condiments. Highly recommend this bakery!! read more

Had an appointment cancel, leaving me with free time... just after I picked up a few loaves of sourdough bread. I chose the ultimate bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. A bit strong on the mustard... and I think I'll order it with mayonnaise next time. Still, delicious. read more

Looking for a brunch spot and my feet brought me here. They have a sandwich board with minimal offerings. The place is clean and bright with a few seats inside and more seating outside. I chose a grilled cheese sandwich with the carrot cake and sat outside in the sun. Food service was quick but I did need to request silverware and a napkin. read more

4.4 stars. It would be easy to miss this place tucked in the back corner of a huge plaza. Not a lot of character to the building outside but inside has a great vibe. I had a panini breakfast sandwich on sourdough. Was solid. Love that they use Vital Farms eggs. Seems like they have a good following. Was a lot of people eating and waiting for orders. I will be back to try the lunch menu. They also have lots of cool quality canned ingredients for a small place. Recommend. read more

I was really looking forward to trying their sandwiches since I see the good reviews but I found it disappointing. Looks like it was left in the grill too long and it made the bread tough. So little pastrami that I couldn't taste it over the taste of the sauerkraut. And as you can see in the pic, the portion size was also a disappointment. I'll stick with Jed's and Outlaw in Chino Valley from now on. read more

Horrible interaction with the owner after bringing up a complaint. My mom went to pick up lunch and I told her my usual order. I overheard the manager speaking very rudely to my mom so I called later and tried getting in touch with the owner to let them know. I understand things can be overwhelming when understaffed but sheesh, the owner was very combative and defensive immediately when I asked for the owner. I was just trying to make them aware of something the staff had done and I didn't approach with anything but respect. I understand people have bad days but I will no longer be supporting them. I usually come in weekly for my whole family but after being received this way I will absolutely not be back. A shame the way they handled one simple order modification (which was to take bread off a sandwich for someone gluten free) turned into them shooting themselves in the foot. read more

I've only been in once, for a loaf of sourdough, a ham and cheese croissant, and a local tomato, so not a ton to go off of. But all of those items were delicious and the selection left me dying to go back. Definitely a very cool spot that I will hit up every time I'm in Prescott. read more

I always love picking up a loaf from here. Great taste and good size for price. Cute little specialty shop inside too! Also, the pastries are delish. I keep going back to try more! read more

High quality food and dessert choices here. You get what you pay for and well worth it. A unique and quality, delicious place in Prescott. Also appreciate their small market items which can be hard to find here. Help was knowledgeable and helpful. read more

This is a wonderful cozy place. We (my husband and I) come for the bread once a week. Sometimes for a pastry or for soup. We are from Europe but live here in Prescott. The products are very good but we also appreciate the staff. They are young and very polite and always helpful. I also admire the decor. There is an old photography high on the wall (on the right side when you enter). It's wonderful. A very pleasant bakery. read more

Great sourdough bread and sandwiches. Great little store! Love this place!!! Would recommend for anyone who loves fresh ingredients!

Just had a stressful and difficult experience at this establishment. Went in to get a to go order for my very busy family who are regular customers. Attempted to order the usual bread on the side sandwich for my GF daughter and was met with a rigid wall of 'we cannot do that' from the woman at the register. I let her know my daughter is a regular and this is her regular order. She rudely informed me that it was an impossible order and that she had been the "manager" there for over a year! I got my daughter on the phone so to clarify the order. Manager lady got more rigid. Luckily her staff showed up with clarity and kindness and delivered the very simple order. Impressive staff Miss Manager! Seems like the days of customer first and communication got bulldozed by someone's stress and title. Too bad, so sad, we won't be back. read more

The seating is non-existent. The outdoor space for seating needs a good power wash. This review is because of a $8.99 egg and cheese Pannini that we didn't look at until later or would have taken back to the register counter. Image attached of what Pangaea thought we should have. read more

Finally found me a deli and a good one at that! My heart is smiling right now. This was our first time here and we will be coming back for sure! Both my husband and I grabbed the recommended Italian sub and we were not disappointed at all. This specific sandwich and a couple other choices, we're available in a refrigerator for customers to grab on their own, but customers can also order at the counter. Sandwich was fresh and had plenty of meat. It is something that we could have actually shared one of, because of the size and all the fixings. Bread was fresh and crispy as a baguette should always be and I fell in love! I'm definitely a sucker for a great tasting baguette and this is where they got me... Location is definitely a bakery and the aroma of baked goods fills the air as you walk in. They have an assortment of Italian grocery items along with some fresh produce options. It's a very quaint and well-stocked hidden gem in Prescott that I highly recommend. Service was fantastic and quick. There are seating areas both inside and outdoors and both areas were very clean and welcoming. Overall, a great place to enjoy a great sandwich! read more

Fabulous bakery items... Even the "day old" stuff tastes great. They get busy, so there's a number system being used to help manage the crowd. They do a good job helping customers quickly. A great place to get your baked goods fix Pro-Tip: They don't do bagels read more

Great food, great service!! Love the atmosphere. Love trying new things and their homemade baked goodies. Coffee is so good.

If love could be defined by baked goods (and frankly, who says it can't??) this would be the place to find love. Delicious on top of delicious. I always find yummy treats, but I am there for the sourdough bread. It cannot be replicated elsewhere. I crave it toasted. It's amazing. While you're there get a morning roll, or a savory treat...you won't be disappointed. Quick, friendly service. Most excellent food. Perfect. read more

THE BEST GRILLED CHEESE IN ARIZONA! Good gracious, this was Devine. I would have inhaled it, but it was such an immaculately constructed work of art that I needed to savor it. 10/10 would recommend. I have no recollection of much else, because my thoughts were consumed by this sandwich. read more

We are visiting Prescott and our Airbnb host recommended Pangaea Bakery. Had the chocolate espresso scone and a cup of drip coffee. The coffee was so weak it didn't actually qualify as coffee and the scone was tasteless. Disappointed. read more

I favorably reviewed Pangaea a couple years ago. However times have changed. Prices are way up. That's not the problem. Problem is the filling in the sandwiches have shrunk to nothing. If you need to reduce size shrink the bread. Instead of your wonderful chicken salad a bite of bread and lettuce is not worth your prices. I will pay your price but not for a sandwich with no 'stuff' only lettuce. It wasn't a fluke. It's been multiple weekends in a row. Fix it. read more

This is the real deal, almost certainly the best bakery I've been to in AZ north of Phoenix. Most flavorful Danish I've had since the last time I went to Denmark, super flaky and rich morning bun. Only complaint I could make would be that the sourdough, while rich tasting, isn't as crusty as I'd usually like--but that's fixed if you accept it as best for toasting. read more

Driving around my new town and discovered Pangaea Bakery. In my Prescott Facebook group people were raving about this place and since I ran into by accident this morning why not give it a try. I was greeted warmly by staff and she gave me some pointers on her favorite things here. I will definitely be back to try some of their other treats. read more

Pangea has a nice selection of coffees, breads, pastries, including some gluten free, plus prepared food items like imported pasta and even a few fresh vegetables. There is a small outdoor patio that has shade, though not a lot of atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable. I had a gluten free carrot cake, the cake was good, very dense and fruity, though there was way too much frosting for my tastes - probably great for kids with a sweet tooth. I will try them again, but probably not cakes with a lot of frosting! read more

High quality but WAY overpriced (about double or more than other vendors in the area). Seriously , over $42 for a pie (plus tax), which they claim uses only fresh fruit, but how would anyone know? Bought their sourdough boule/loaf and it was quite underwhelming. Had virtually no sourdough taste at all and the crust was tough as leather. Never again. For reference, bought a boule of sourdough the previous weekend at the Prescott Farmers Market and it was SPOT ON! AND, and this is a BIG "and" the young women who run the counter are quite rude. My recommendation is to take your business elsewhere. Prescott doesn't need this kind of business. read more

This was, quite possibly, the worst Italian sub sandwich I've ever eaten. The flavors are... nope. No vegetables on the sandwich, the bread is so hard it's roughed up the roof of my mouth. It's very expensive, and not worth it. I'm very disappointed. The products they sell are also very expensive. I wouldn't eat here again. Sorry. Leah was the sweetest! Including every other staff member! Food was delicious & our coffees were made with love ! :)

Use to be my all time favorite place and I would recommend this bakery to everyone. It has gotten so expensive and the quality is not there anymore. I HOPE THE OWNER OR MANAGER READS THIS!!!! I moved to Prescott from NY 2.5 years ago and until 6 months ago I was a regular at Pangaeo, 2x a week despite the very high prices. The products were good, but the service drove me away. I went back yesterday to give it another try and the servicer was actually nasty to me when I asked about pre-ordering! Then they wanted a tip?? At best the service at Pangaea was terse, NEVER nice and frequently the servers were downright rude. I am a New Yorker born and bread, and I have a high tolerance for people who are gruff, curt and even rude. So for me to complain you need to really try and be rude. I would buy their cheese, pastries and other products and frequently spend more than $100 and always leave a 20% tip. If I asked the server a simple question about the bread or pastry, they would often sigh, roll their eyes and sometimes get nasty - like the nerve of me to ask a question. read more

I love Pangaea's cakes and pastries. And their chicken pie. It's a nice place to meet a friend for a treat. The only drawback is the continual price increases on the desserts. Instead of stopping by every couple weeks now, I will wait and just get something for a special occasion. read more
