Quick Lunch!
MaryAnn S.

I love Panini Sandwiches--so decided to stop in at this particular chain--to my dismay--no Panini Sandwiches. I settled on a BLT Roast Turkey Avocado. The bread was good, but not sauced enough on both sides for my taste. I asked and got additional mayo which helped. I also added a cup of Thai Chicken Soup which arrived lukewarm. Despite all, the taste and ingredients were fresh. The pricing is above average with plenty of parking during the 1-2 PM hour. Overall, my lunch was very tasty and the environment was relaxing with soft music in the background.

GREAT Hazlenut coffee to go and awesome music.

One of my fav coffee stops. I prefer their Hazlenut, with half & half and 2 or 3 sugars, depending which size I get. And yeah, I go inside and mix it myself. (hey, I'm like that.) ALWAYS clean restroom facilities, and I hope Mgmt takes note and mentions this to the cleaning crew. Good job Panera! btw... I took this pic in the pking lot. (not driving) My taste for coffee is matched by my taste in music.

Very disappointing. Not likely to return ever . Have order green goddess Cobb chicken salad ( have asked not to add any bacon) , but it seems no one bother to read the instructions . The one which I have got bacon in it . Looking at the service , It's like it's daily mistake and they are used to it !

Spinach, egg and bacon souffle.

I'm so glad we stumbled upon Hot Off The Presses while passing through on our way to…read moreMinneapolis--this place is an absolute gem. We were just here a few weeks ago and I am so bummed to see they permanently closed!! We came during lunch and took advantage of their weekday lunch combo (Tues-Fri, 11am-2pm), which includes soup and a half grilled cheese. You can choose from the OG, Kick in the Cheese, or Fancy grilled cheese, plus either tomato basil bisque or the soup of the day. Honestly? A dream setup. I ordered the tomato basil bisque with a half OG grilled cheese, and wow... just wow. The soup was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the grilled cheese delivered that classic, beautiful cheese pull moment you hope for (and rarely actually get). The cheese had the perfect amount of sharpness and subtle bitterness, balancing everything out so well without being overwhelming.. I seriously could go for one right now! Every bite was comforting and delicious, and I immediately wished I had ordered a full OG sandwich because it was that good. The combo was mouth‑watering, satisfying, and wildly exceeded expectations for a quick lunch stop.

I have visited twice, and have been impressed by their efficiency, timing, and pricing. Plenty of free parking on site. Lots of seating inside. I have enjoyed their Chicken Caesar wrap and their Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap, both with terrific taste, made to order, and plentiful. I explored more of the menu and have a lot of other things to try. I also enjoyed their homemade soup and their cookies.

Located in a…read morestrip mall at the corner of Grand and EP True (by the HyVee), the decor is nothing special but it was light and bright inside. We were greeted and asked if we were dining in (it appears they do a brisk takeout business) and were told to sit where we wanted. It was surprisingly crowded for a Sunday afternoon at 4 pm. The menu is extensive and hubby and I both like Mediterranean food. I chose the Falafel plate, served with five falafel balls, hummus, a pita, and Greek salad. The portion was generous (ended up taking two falafel home). Served with tahini and their house green sauce (olive oil, cilantro, and jalapeño) It wasn't spicy but it was so delicious - I could get addicted to this thinking of all the other ways so could enjoy it!! The Greek salad was served with house dressing - garlic and yogurt, also very good. The falafel was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and flavorful. The hummus was not at all grainy - smooth but just a tad bland. Hubby had the lamb skewers and liked them very much. Served with rice, salad, and hummus. He also took one of the skewers home. We both had the mango Fresca juice. A bit too sweet for me but I generally drink unsweetened beverages. Hubby liked it a lot. Service was friendly and we were checked on twice to ask how we liked our food. Generous portions, friendly service, good food, but not inexpensive (with tip, $55 for two) but what is inexpensive these days?? We enjoyed reading the story of the couple who started this restaurant, and I'm glad we finally had a chance to try it?

Always on point. This is why it's one my standard orders here...! Noodles are always cooked well. Chicken is tender. Broccoli and mushrooms are steamed down and not hard. And the sauce... They nail the extra spicy every time! Reasonably priced, the portion sizes are decent, and it's usually an enjoyable experience whether you choose to dine-in or grab it to go...!

For drinks, we started with a Pineapple Jalapeno Mule and a Coconut Mule while waiting for our food. For our Happy Hour food options, we chose the Boursin Mushrooms (see picture), Nachos with Beef (see picture) and BBQ Shrimp Kabob (see picture). While the Mushrooms and BBQ Shrimp Kabob were worthy of 5* ratings (both were fantastic and highly recommended), the Nachos were average at best - as the chips tasted like a cheap no-label variety and the beef had little taste. We finished our meal with a couple of sweeter martinis (see picture) at the bar. We have been impressed with the drinks and bartenders during each of our visits and tonight was no different - both martinis were delicious!

Retro railroad memorabilia, original framed posters, model train cars, and signs, all in a casual atmosphere... You'll be at home here in a three piece suit or jeans and a t shirt. Always great food and friendly staff...! Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... This is one of my favorite places to take people when they are in for work from out of town... Or to recommend to them to check out if the are staying in the general area... Our most recent lunch visit was a party to six. Three of us were local and the others were from our St Louis and Atlanta offices. Not long ago I recommended Club Car to some visitors we had in from Virginia. Not only did they love their first dinner experience there... They went back for dinner there every night they were in town . I'd given them an extensive list of local places to try. Broken down by location, cuisine type, price, etc... They didn't see a reason to check any of the other places out. It was cenvenient and easy to get to from their hotel. They loved the environment and the service they got... They were content to keep going back and explore their entire menu while they were here in the metro. Irina's recently took their boursin mushrooms off their menu. I love this dish and have been wanting to try them a Club Car. I had my chance on this latest trip. My manager and I split and order. They didn't disappoint. Very good! On this recent stop I had the Cajun Seafood Pasta. My manager had the Beef Stroganoff. Others at the table had the Pastrami Reuben the Rarebit Burger, a Patty Melt, and one of the flatbreads. Everyone enjoyed their meals! Our server on this visit was fantastic from start to finish! They always are though... A taller bald gentleman with a gray goatee. Isiah maybe? Took care of us well from start to finish. None of our glasses ever hit empty. He was attentive without hovering. I'm not sure Club Car has been around long enough to exactly call it a classic (opened in 1996), but it's certainly a staple, and one of my go tos, on the West side of town!
