It's become our routine to stop for a soufflé at a Panera before we drive out of town. This is the 2nd time I've been to this location and both times, they didn't have any soufflés. Today, it was because they were still cooking it and it would take another 10 mins. In a rush to get on the road and starving, I order the next thing that looks good on the menu - a steak and egg breakfast sandwich. I wouldn't have given this place such a poor review except that employees were yapping away about their social lives while several of us were waiting for our orders ... I saw a sandwich waiting on the food counter for a dine in customer but knew I had ordered mine to go. After a few more minutes of waiting, and having learned about the employees' weekend plans inadvertently from their loud conversations, I ask about my order. Turns out that the sandwich sitting on the counter, getting cold, was mine. Again, even after realizing they had not packed up my order correctly, they take their precious time as they continue to talk amongst themselves. I'm thoroughly annoyed BC it took forever to get my food, and I could have gotten my soufflé in the amount of time I waited. Needless to say, I will never return to this location.

How can I make your Tuesdays even better? Bagels!! Did you know that on tuesday at Panera Bread you can get a baker's dozen (13 bagels!) of bagels for about $7???!!!! Eat some, freeze the rest, have bagels all week!! This particular Panera usually has a great selection even at later times of the day! Thank me later

Yum! This Panera was friendly, fast, and the food was fantastic. I got an eggwich on an Asiago cheese bagel. Large hazelnut coffee and kind staff made for a great breakfast on the run.

My friend Judith and I wanted to do something to support healthcare workers-- valiant soldiers in the war against the coronavirus. We decided to buy lunch forworkers in the Covid-19 and Oncology units at Sibley Hospital in Washington DC. And we chose Panera to purchase sandwiches and salads. I spoke to Angel at the Panera location in Tenleytown, Wash DC. He made everything so easy for us-- and donated a bottle of water and chocolate chip cookie to go with each lunch. He also waved the fee to deliver the food to Sibley. Thank you Angel and Panera! Here we are with the Panera delivery in front of Sibley, weari g our face masks of course! From Andrea Barron

Went with my friend to Panera today, got a Mac and cheese, is there anyway frozone is real? Because I'm pretty sure he's working in the back of the TenleyTown panera and freezing the Mac and cheese. My first bite was like sorbet, sort of a soft texture but at the same time crunchy, you know what I mean? was asked if I was twins with my friend, felt offended because I'm much more attractive....Not to add that she is pale as snow looking like Ariana grande in season 2 of Sam and Cat, and I have my .000000000009% Lathina roots! I will not be made a fool by you BARTHOLOMEW, so grassyass para tu trabaha, but your service is no longer needed....I asked for a refund when I finished my Mac and cheese, and they said no!!! What a bitch! When I asked to reheat my Mac and cheese, I was directed to a microwave, Isabella stated, "bear right next to the pick up line" I'm sorry ISABELLA! But I don't know where the F*** the microwave is I was expecting a new packet of Mac and cheese that was warm, tasty, and worth my MONEY! but I was WRONG. So thank you Isabella, I can't wait until the day that 1000 watts of radiation replaces your job! I hope you contract the bubonic plague I was also made fun of, laughed at, MAIMED and pawed at by the cashier!!! When I stayed my name "Jessica The Coolest" (which is what my friends call me) I was made a laughing stock and humiliated in front of 23 Alice deal students that were stealing my rightful moment of peace, on top of all that, my iced tea was being swarmed by flies in the beverage isle. Never coming back to the TenleyTown Panera!!

Steak and white cheddar panini. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!
    Vanessa D.

Came here to get my usual, the steak and white cheddar cheese panini (ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!) and the green tea. Came when school just got let out so it was unbearably busy. So can't say I'll ever return around that time. I did try out the kiosk ordering for the first time. Was worth it because I was able to skip the long lines. Overall decent but again, I'll make sure to avoid the crowds.

Grubhub chastised me for being "too far away". Well the Fresh Bag website ordering was a breeze, they delivered in 45 minutes and everything from the madeleines to the quiche was perfect. Love the sourdough. And the almond croissants are always a hit.

The chocolate eclair was completely frozen and stale with hardened pastry cream and ice fragments. We let the staff at the counter know in case the refrigeration temperatures were off. The canele was rubbery and chewy with an eggy aftertaste unlike the caneles we've had at the McLean location. Three in a group of five felt abdominal discomfort after having the pastries. The Rustic Boule, again something we've bought multiple times was doughier than usual, without the hearty pores and crust, like it was packed warm days ago. The saving grace was the pistachio orange blossom tart. Stars are for the tart and one of the guys at the counter who was kind enough to hold on to a sling bag the 7 year old left behind. Kid was in tears but knowing the bag was safe brought a smile to her face while we drove back to get it.

A friend invited me to go on a little Duke's tour with her, and this was our first stop. They were decked out in panda decor and had a charming menu. I was mainly there for their drinks, but I decided to try their quinoa salad too. What a hefty, satisfying salad! The butternut squash, goat cheese, and pumpkin seeds were the highlights. Based on this initial experience, I'd be back for sure. Good happy hour too. Now, this location may be a little out of my way, but thankfully there are closer Duke's.

Server came by, not so much as a greeting or introduction, just a short, "do you know what you want?" Fine - no problem. We ordered two avocado toasts and side of fries to share. Now, the menu clearly says the avocado toasts are served with a "runny egg". Ok sure, no problem. What i did not anticipate was a half raw egg with the yolk swimming in a sea of translucent completely uncooked "whites". It was like a golden disc encased in a snot rocket. Ok, maybe that's their "runny". Slide it off the toast and press on - snail trail of mucus be damned. The avocado spread was great - bright, citrusy, and well seasoned. The "hot sauce" was likely from a bottle and could have been left off. The radishes would have benefitted from being tossed in lemon, salt and pepper. The image of the "runny" egg was too much so I ate half the toast serving and meandered to the fries. Not bad, crispy , hot, and...wait...sweet...something is off, I can't put my finger on it but at least it's not a raw egg. I keep eating. My kids looks at me and says, "do these remind you of funnel cake?" THAT'S IT - FUNNEL CAKE. We have both had enough, ask for the check. The server comes by gives me the clunky machine, I tap and put it down, he reaches for it and I say, it's processing, I still have to sign...and then he starts snapping his fingers...WHAT IN THE ACTUAL €¥($ ARE WE DOING RIGHT NOW?!? Never again. Never, again.
