I also ordered the broccoli cheddar soup, and it was absolutely delicious. It paired perfectly with my sandwich and was so comforting. The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It was extremely hot outside, and they even brought my sandwich out to my car, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really meant a lot. Unfortunately, it just didn't feel like the food was prepared with the same care. The service was even more disappointing, and the restrooms were not clean at all. The only two people who were genuinely pleasant were the lady my age or younger preparing food in the back I believe she had a scarf on her head and Joseph, the young man working up front. Thank you both for being kind and welcoming! We visited on September 12, 2026, around 1 p.m. The young lady who took our order was very unwelcoming and showed little personality or hospitality. We just turned away and left but my 85-year-old mother was already sitting down waiting for her food. The tall gentleman preparing food in the back also the server and CASHIER at times seemed like he simply didn't want to be there. I ordered bread to go, and when I saw how it was prepared and packaged, I was honestly disappointed. Good food is important, but good service, cleanliness, and a little hospitality go a long way too. Unfortunately, this location fell short of what we've come to expect.

We didn't realize the table was assigned until an attentive staffer who tended the tables explained & adjusted things for us to accommodate our preference. The complete miss was that when we ordered, we weren't asked about where we wanted to be seated, inside or outside, table or booth. Inside, the AC kept it chilly. Loud music plays & 2 TVs are on. Seating is at metal table booths, wood tables, or the bar. Outdoors, you can sit under a roofed area or umbrellas. Fountain drinks are self accessible, but the lids were hard to find & are actually in the small space to the left of the dispenser. Sauces & condiments are easy to access. No extra napkins were available except by requesting more from staff. Our eats-- Tri Tip Buck with caramelized onions Smokehouse BBQ Buck Combo with Fries & Fountain Drink Kids Hamburger Slider Meal (added cheese) with Fries & Fountain Drink The food arrived hot & was very tasty, especially with their sauces. The bread was especially buttery & toasty. Crisp on the fries was great. Some dings are that there was a notable delay in getting the kids meal after our other orders arrived, which as a parent, I would've preferred arrived first. Also, my tray arrived with jus spillage on the bottom that already started to soak into the bread. This has been an issue at this location. Overall, we have a tasty, solid meal experience here.

James was the bartender this evening. Took great care of us. I was interested in one of the Bartender Choices drinks. He was very knowledgeable! I went with Victoria's choice: Bubbas Secret Margarita! It was bangin'! It was a key lime flavor and I could definitely tell on the first sip! Not only did James make sure we got amazing drinks but he learned we had already ordered food. He went over and let other staff know we were at the bar and to bring our order over once ready. While closing us out for our drinks James noticed that my husband had a reward available under their rewards program and let us know it would expire soon. So we chose to use the reward at that time and got free burnt ends as an appetizer! Delicious and tender! Our food came out shortly after. We fot ribs, tri tip, tater tots, and roasted veggies and cornbread. Yum!!! Tender meat, crispy taters and those veggies were seasoned well. Buckhorn is a lively place, plays upbeat music, has a TV at the bar playing sports. Great place to get a cocktail, a bite to eat, hang with family or friends! I highly recommend trying Bubbas Secret Margarita!!!
