The food is typical Panera food, but they are always out of something - baguettes usually, but chips seem to be another item they run out of. And I don't just mean close to closing time. The last two times we stopped, it wasn't even 5pm yet and they were out. The staff is friendly, not likely their fault for the issues, but no bread at Panera bread seems like a big concern to me. Overpriced for what you get. Went to the Aliso Viejo location before they closed. Both my wife and I felt cheated as we paid a large amount for such a little portion. I was so frustrated I wrote a letter to corporate and of course, no reply. Breads are good. Food is fresh. Service is like going into any other fast food restaurant.......mediocre. The quality and availability of breads and teas and coffees has declined drastically. So has any choices for bread spreads. Only cream cheese. No jams. The coffee- even the dark!- is very hot water with coloring added. There is really no coffee taste and thus no coffee in it. If you're looking for a pick me up or caffeine fix, forget it. Bread choices are very few -maybe 3. There is a drastic difference between this Paneras at Uniontown vs in Washington PA. And cleanliness at this Paneras is lacking. Would you let guests at your home use a dirty/wet table and seat and step on food on floor. If we want to spread another pandemic or even the flu or colds, it is one for that opportunity. If you wouldn't serve a guest in your house with food on floor and chairs and tables, why is it the normal at this Paneras and others also. The coffee is so terrible that if I didn't have another Paneras to frequent, I would just pass by this "cafe." It is so disappointing as many guests meet up with acquaintances and friends to have a coffee or tea or sandwich etc. This is definitely not the way to keep a restaurant chain open. Prices have gone up everywhere, and many are choosing not to eat out much. Along with high prices, the quantity/quality of ingredients of meals has also declined. Now, customers must bring their own jam (BYOJ); pastry prices are outrageous (5.00 for a cookie); bagel selections are few (even few is being nice assuming the limited selection of bagels are available (at one time, Covelli offered 14 varieties); prices for a cup of soup are a joke (15.00 a customer paid for a quart of chicken soup). New owners (Flynn group) are the newest grinches for Christmas. No decorations, no plants, zilch. The Christmas spirit at the Panera franchises is now the "ghost" of Christmas past. A spirit of gloom hangs over the shops and some customers are fleeing to local Dunkin Donuts where one can actually buy pumpkin spice coffee. I came here years ago from another state and was elated to find that they have a PB here. Before covid, they were tolerable with wrong orders, to not enough meat on the sandwich, or meats were just on one side of the sandwich to just bad service. I so loved sitting by the fireplace and working at PB instead of being in the office sometimes. I would also meet with colleagues and business partners as it was convenient; bringing a great deal of business to them in doing so. Over the past year on many occasions, I have had to send the meal back inside, and mostly outside. They don't follow instructions and then get an attitude when you take it back to them. Just horrible! Most people just take this but hey...you are paying for something that they have agreed to do so ...why??? You are handing them a considerable amount of money to help keep them in business and they get the order wrong and then get so upset that someone else has to take over the order while they are mouthing off in the background and this didn't happen once but multiple times. They don't seem to be able to read the order screen properly to manage the orders. We've seen this too many times at this particular restaurant. They never have the breads, pastries they used to have. They place the soup on the counter and then make the sandwiches. So by the time we got our meal, soups were cold. One of the business partners asked if we looked at the inside of the soda machines one day. After this, we would bring our own drinks. This particular restaurant lacks the professionalism and experience, cleanliness to even handle the small volume coming through. They don't wear masks and the last thing you want is someone talking, laughing, coughing over your food and they may have been exposed the night before. We now go to a local Mexican restaurant in the afternoon or Lins Chinese, Eat in Park restaurant and sometimes Arby's.. who has the best turkey sandwich we all love. Less money! I called the store to let them know and thought since they had delivery , they would have offered to have someone bring them over. The hotel at which I was staying was only 1/2 mile away. I'm tired of getting horrible quality food from Panera. Prior to Covid and barely edible after. I have been a huge Panera fan and now the quality and consistency is no where to be found. Frontega chicken is always different. Sometimes cold, sometimes no sauce/mayo, maybe two small pieces of chicken for one bite. This last visit my child's grilled cheese was a joke. Had some issues with the food not packed properly and lids came off in the bag but when I went back in and spoke to the manager she couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. She seemed more upset than I was and wanted to make sure everything was corrected. Mistakes happen but the true test is what people do to correct the mistake. By far one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The cute manger with long pulled back hair in a bun was so sweet to me at the register! He smiled and even added avocado to my salad! We love going to Panera to eat, but our experience at this one was disappointing. We ordered two of the new warm grain bowls. They were cold, the grain hard, and there was no sign of cucumbers. My husband and I took our son for a birthday lunch. We placed our order and it came to well over $33.00. I handed a $50 bill that I had just gotten from the bank drive thru. After 3 different employees handled it-I was told by the manager that they aren't accepting $50 or $100 bills. There was no signage anyway stating this. After an hour I called, nobody had even picked it up. They took the money with no problem, but we decided to cancel the order because of the lack of service. There is not much to do in Uniontown, PA. Just when you thought Panera Bread couldn't get any worse. This chain is expensive, but gives you miniature servings to begin with. This location seems to run by a team of teenage girls. The one who took my order did not really want to seem to be there, or like her job. I asked what kind of bagels they have today and she said "they are all on the wall". Hmmmmmm....ok. Where on the wall??? I ordered a bagel with creme cheese and a large hot chocolate. The bagel was something that looks like a English Muffin, not a bagel. The creme cheese comes in a packet. The hot chocolate never arrived, so I went up to the counter, to ask yet another teenage girl where it was. It was sitting on the counter, hidden behind the cash register. LOL I finished the "bagel" with 2 bites and walked out with my "hot chocolate", only to find out it tasted like warm water mixed with some cheap powder or whatever they prepared it with. Food is very good love the Tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich ! But last evening I was their and the girl waiting on me was very rude . I did not appreciate her smart mouth at all to start with I asked for a couple cookies which she stuck in the little cookie packs but I was going to sit down to eat so I asked for a bag to put them in instead of putting them in the bag she just toss the bag to me I guess in other words to say here do it yourself . Then I told her I was drinking water she handed me a small cup and I asked her if I could please have a bigger cup because i use the Ilittle packets of stuff that you put in your water and the small cups are too small for the size of the packets and she was very rude about the cup, then she rang up my soup and sandwich and she didn't ask me about my card for my meal so I missed out on that I didn't get to get my points for my meal I was very disappointed and I eat there regularly and I love the food and as a rule everybody is very polite and nice but last evening the girl was very rude. And she also embarrassed me there was people in the line behind me when I ask for the glass when she smart mouth and said well those are the water glasses as I tried to explain to her that they were too small for the packets to put in the water but I guess I wasted my breath. We do not live in Uniontown but come to visit family. We always like to stop at Panera to have lunch. This trip being no different we decided to go out for a day of shopping and lunch. My sister in-law and I were so excited for broccoli and cheese soup. As we were ordering we were told that the soup was not at the temp it should be and we had to chose something else. So that's what we did we ordered the autumn squash soup and a half sandwich for me. As we picked up our order they forgot to put bread on my plate so I asked for the whole grain bread but they didn't have it. A female that was behind the counter said let me get you something similar. I said how happy I was that she got that for me since we were already sad about our soup. She immediately said were you wanting the broccoli soup. She explained that she had to make sure it was at a specific temperature and I absolutely understood. She said let me get you both some broccoli soup and gave us containers for your other soup. What great customer service. I asked later if she was the manager and she was. Her name was Alley sp? I have to say she was a younger girl but one of the better managers that I have seen in awhile. She was pleasant, sweet and professional.
